00:00For Cardiff City, it's fair to say it wasn't a good season at all in the Championship.
00:08Being relegated to League One was the last thing they would have wanted, especially at the start of the season.
00:14And so when it comes to looking for the best moments of their campaign, the options, in fairness, probably are quite limited,
00:21as is often the case for a side who has just gone down to the division below.
00:26However, it is our duty to try and discover which moments for Cardiff were the standouts of the campaign,
00:33despite the fact that they probably were few and far between.
00:36Certainly, the derby against Swansea was probably one of them, one of the shining light moments in what was a pretty doom and gloom campaign.
00:46Let's go now to our Wales sport correspondent, Charles Hague Jones, to see what he has come up with for Cardiff City's best moments of the season.
00:56As I mentioned there, not probably many to choose from, given the fact that Cardiff were relegated from the Championship to League One
01:02and are ending up in England's third tier come the start of next season.
01:07But it's always useful to have some good moments to look back on, which can, of course, inspire the club going forward
01:13because they will need that sort of inspiration for next season if they are able to get themselves out of League One
01:19at the very first attempt and back into the Championship, where they will certainly say, at least from their point of view, they belong.
01:26So, Charles, what have you come up with?
01:30Yes, Cardiff City's season, obviously, disappointing is the word for it.
01:36Obviously, relegated in 24th from the Championship, where we'd be a League One club for the first time in over a decade next season.
01:45By all means, not good enough, but you do sometimes just have to look back and look at the situation in terms of positives.
01:54You know, you can't always be doom and gloom.
01:57You have to sort of have a better look at things sometimes.
02:00And yes, it was an incredibly tough season and, you know, a challenging campaign for them.
02:04They didn't get so many things they didn't get right and obviously culminated with relegation.
02:09Just a few things to look at.
02:11I mean, the win over Plymouth Argyle, a large for the season 5-0.
02:15Obviously, Plymouth obviously down near the end, you know, come the end of the season.
02:22But October, you know, late October, this was a 5-0 win against Plymouth Argyle.
02:28A massive, massive confidence boost at the time.
02:30And the FA Cup run, I mean, it's so understated how good that actually was from Cardiff City.
02:37They won away at Sheffield United.
02:39They won away at Stoke City.
02:41Obviously, both championship outfits.
02:43But, you know, eventually losing to Aston Villa, who made it to the semifinals.
02:46A 2-0 loss, I believe, in the fifth round or quarterfinals even.
02:51I can't quite remember.
02:52Possibly the fifth round.
02:54But an incredible journey for Cardiff City to get there and maybe actually hindered them in the end, you know, in terms of the legs, fresh legs.
03:02But, you know, it was a chance for the likes of Colwell to go on and prove what he could do on the FA Cup stage.
03:08You know, we are seeing the FA Cup slowly regain a bit of magic, a bit of, you know, what it's all about.
03:13And Cardiff City's run in that this year was fantastic and something they need to take huge credit for to get to that stage.
03:22Yes, of course, falling short, but Aston Villa, an incredible outfit nowadays.
03:27Callum Robinson's goal scoring 12 goals in the championship.
03:31If they can keep hold of him, that's another massive positive.
03:34You know, 12 goals, sorry, across all competitions is very, very honourable, very, you know, deserves a mention for sure.
03:41If he can take that into League One, it could be, you know, 20s, 30s if he's on form to find the net, if they get a few things right around him with the team.
03:50But he's certainly a top player.
03:51He's certainly a player that if he is to drop down to League One, Cardiff will have to count themselves very lucky.
03:57You know, he did a decent job, but there was those months between him and, you know, Errol Bulletin over Reza that just wasn't great for them.
04:08And, you know, Reza maybe, you know, overstayed his welcome a little bit in the championship and was a bit too naive at times.
04:15And then Aaron Ramsey, you have to look at his very, very short-lived spell, but the way he spoke in the media was fantastic.
04:21Everything he said was brilliant and with true heart towards Cardiff City and what he believes the project can be moving forward.
04:29So, yes, not many positives to take in terms of the season, in terms of on paper overall for Cardiff City, but they will hope to bounce back.
04:37They will hope to use some of these highlights to really kick on and become a championship club again.
