00:00So today we're honored to swear in Jeanine Pirro, somebody I've known for a long time,
00:04and she's an incredible person and incredible woman, as our new interim United States Attorney
00:10for the District of Columbia. That's a big deal. And I'd like to congratulate Jeanine
00:15and her whole family. And we have Christine with us, and Alex I know is in a very,
00:22very important place right now. And the two children, but they're not children anymore.
00:27And I've heard that, Christine, you're doing unbelievably well and very successful at a
00:33great law firm. So it's great to have you with us. Thank you very much.
00:37Over five decades, Jeanine Pirro, known by millions as Judge Jeanine, has devoted her
00:44life to the pursuit of justice, the defense of freedom, and the fair, equal, and impartial rule
00:50of law. And that's what she's about. She was a great DA. I remember her very well. She was
00:56as good as anybody I've seen. She began a career in 1975 as an Assistant District
01:02Attorney in Westchester County, New York, where she prosecuted violent crimes.
01:07And that was a serious prosecute. And she went after real criminals, not fake criminals like
01:13we seem to do today, nowadays, people that shouldn't be prosecuted, including rape,
01:19murder, and was tireless warrior, a tireless warrior on behalf of the most vulnerable people
01:25in our society. In that role, Jeanine helped create one of our country's first domestic
01:30violence bureaus. I think it was the first, Jeanine. And as its chief, she revolutionized
01:35victim protection and bold, innovative policies like very few people even thought of. In 1990,
01:42Jeanine became the first female judge in Westchester County history. And following the
01:47year, and by the way, very distinguished, had an unbelievable, distinguished career.
01:52And in the following year, she presided over numerous complex criminal cases. The reason
01:56they were complex is that other judges were not able to understand them. They were called the
02:01complex cases. My sister had them too. They always used to give her the complex cases
02:05because other people didn't understand them, including high stakes felony narcotics trials.
02:10Her outstanding judicial record earned her the honor of being named the number one judge in 1990
02:17by the Independent Fund for Modern Courts. That's nationwide. Outstanding judge. The following year,
02:24Judge Jeanine was elected Westchester County District Attorney, became the top prosecutor
02:28for a jurisdiction that included some of the largest suburbs in New York City, including
02:34Yonkers and White Plains. It's a big deal. As District Attorney, Jeanine tackled high profile
02:40violent crime cases and established one of the nation's most successful cybercrime units to
02:46combat online child abuse. She was way ahead of a lot of people. They still aren't there. If you
02:52get right down, I mean, from what I hear, they're still not there in many cases back there where we
02:56come from. In addition to her stellar legal career, Jeanine also excelled in news media
03:02as her, as you know, and she's become one of the most beloved political figures through her time
03:10on television because she's been very, very successful at thing called television. She got
03:15out of what she was doing, and frankly, she does them both great, but she's really to me. She'll
03:20always be known as a great lawyer and a great prosecutor, which is what she's doing now.
03:25So Jeanine Pirro, I have no doubt, will be an exceptional U.S. attorney for the District of
03:30Columbia, one of the truly most important positions in our country of any position,
03:35where she will restore public safety in our nation's capital, break up vicious street gangs
03:40and criminal networks, and ensure equal justice under the law. You'll see very, very big improvements
03:46in the D.C. area that I can promise you. So I want to congratulate Jeanine. I want to congratulate
03:52you and Christine and your whole family on this undertaking. And as you know, Pam Bondi is doing
03:59an unbelievable job as our real leader, a leader in the fight against crime. And Pam heard about
04:07this, and Pam said, I'll have to find time for Jeanine. She doesn't have time to do this, but
04:12for Jeanine, she did, and she's going to be doing the swearing-in. So, Pam, thank you very much for
04:16the great job you're doing and for swearing-in our friend, Justice Jeanine. Good. Thank you. Come on in.
04:37I, Jeanine Pirro, do solemnly swear
04:39I, Jeanine Pirro, do solemnly swear

05:59to victims of violent crimes
06:01women, children, and the elderly
06:03I fought to give them
06:05a voice in a system
06:07that was both blind and deaf
06:09to their concerns
06:11I dedicated my heart

11:09Mr. President, you said yesterday that Putin is
11:16playing with fire.
11:17What will be the consequences for Russia if
11:20he continues to — if Russia continues to —
11:21Well, I'm not going to tell you exactly, but the
11:24words speak pretty loud.
11:27We're not — we're not happy about that situation.
11:29I think we're — we're doing very well with Iran.
11:33I think we're doing very well with Gaza.
11:36But we are doing very well with Iran, and I think
11:38we're going to see some — some — something very
11:41sensible, because there are only two outcomes.
11:44You know what the two outcomes is.
11:45There's a smart outcome and there's a violent
11:48outcome, and I don't think anybody wants to see
11:51the second.
11:52But I think we're — we've made a lot of progress,
11:54and we'll see.
11:55You know, they still have to agree to the final
11:58stages of a document.
12:00But I think you could be very well surprised what
12:02happens there.
12:02And it'll be a great thing for them, and it could
12:05have a great country into the future.
12:06Yeah.
12:07Mr. President, Elon Musk, in a television
12:09interview, criticized the one beautiful — big,
12:12beautiful bill, saying he was disappointed it didn't
12:15cut enough, essentially — that it undercut the
12:16Doge efforts.
12:17What's your reaction to that?
12:18Well, the reaction is a lot of things.
12:21Number one, we have to get a lot of votes.
12:22We can't be cutting — you know, we need — we need
12:27to get a lot of support, and we have a lot of
12:29support.
12:30We had to get it through the House.
12:31The House was — we have no Democrats.
12:33You know, if it's up to the Democrats, they'll
12:35take the 65 percent increase.
12:37You know, if that doesn't get approved, this
12:39country is going to have a 65 percent increase in
12:41taxes and lots of other problems — big problems,
12:45almost bigger than that.
12:47But we'll have a 65 percent increase, as
12:50opposed to the largest tax cut in the history of
12:53our country.
12:54We will be negotiating that bill.
12:56And I'm not happy about certain aspects of it, but
13:00I'm thrilled by other aspects of it.
13:01That's the way they go.
13:02It's very big.
13:03It's the big, beautiful bill.
13:05But the beautiful is because of all of the
13:07things we have, the biggest thing being, I
13:09would say, the level of tax cutting that we're
13:14going to be doing.
13:15We're going to make people really be able to —
13:17we'll have one of the — we'll have the lowest tax
13:19rate we've ever had in the history of our country,
13:22and tremendous amounts of benefit are going to the
13:24middle-income people of our country — low- and
13:26middle-income people of our country.
13:30So we're going to see what happens, because the
13:31Senate, as you know, is negotiating with us, and
13:34they have to then go back to the House.
13:35And, you know, it's got a way to go.
13:37But I have to say, Speaker Johnson and Thune have
13:42done an incredible job.
13:43John Thune has done a fantastic — Leader
13:45Thune — a fantastic job.
13:48And they're working together with me and
13:50others.
13:51And I think we have an amazing — if we pull
13:53this off — remember, we have zero Democrat votes
13:55because they're bad people.
13:56There's something wrong with them.
13:58You know, they're — they'll let people pour
14:00into our country.
14:01Single biggest problem is we had 21 million people
14:04pour into our country.
14:05Probably higher than that.
14:07And they're people that weren't supposed to be
14:09here.
14:10And many of those people are bad — murderers, drug
14:13dealers, the mentally insane.
14:16They were closing mental institutions all over the
14:18world — not South America, all over the world.
14:20They're coming into our country, and we're getting
14:22them out.
14:22And we're having a hard time because some judges
14:25aren't making it very easy for us, and it's tough
14:27enough.
14:28They approved that.
14:29They allowed that to happen to our country.
14:31We don't have one Democrat vote.
14:33And if I were a Democrat, I'd be voting for this
14:36bill, and I'd get elected to any position I want as
14:39a Democrat.
14:40They're crazy.
14:41They're voting for a 65 percent tax increase.
14:44And they're only doing it for hatred.
14:46They're not doing it for any reason.
14:48They know it's terrible.
14:49Terrible politics, in my opinion.
14:51But — so we have no Democrat votes.
14:53That means we have to get almost all Republican
14:55votes.
14:56And I think we're very close to doing that.
14:58I think it'll be very successful.
14:59Yeah, please.
15:00The Press.
15:00Mr. President, Wall Street analysts have coined a
15:02new term called the taco trade.
15:03They're saying Trump always chickens out on
15:06new tariff threats, and that's why markets are
15:07higher this week.
15:08What's your response to that?
15:10I kick out?
15:10Chicken out.
15:11Oh, and then I chicken out.
15:14I've never heard that.
15:15You mean because I reduced China from 145 percent
15:19that I set down to 100, and then down to another
15:22number?
15:22And I said, you have to open up your whole
15:24country.
15:25And because I gave the European Union a 50
15:30percent tax tariff, and they called up and they
15:34said, please, let's meet right now.
15:36Please, let's meet right now.
15:38And I said, okay, I'll give you until July 9th.
15:41I actually asked them.
15:42I said, what's the date?
15:43Because they weren't willing to meet.
15:45And after I did what I did, they said, we'll
15:48meet anytime you want.
15:50And we have an end date of July 9th.
15:53You call that chickening out?
15:55Because we have $14 trillion now invested,
15:59committed to investing.
16:00When Biden didn't have practically anything,
16:03Biden, this country was dying.
16:05You know, we have the hottest country anywhere
16:06in the world.
16:07I went to Saudi Arabia.
16:08The king told me.
16:10He said, you got the hottest come.
16:11We have the hottest country in the world
16:13right now.
16:14Six months ago, this country was stone cold
16:17dead.
16:18We had a dead country.
16:19We had a country.
16:20People didn't think it was going to survive.
16:21And you ask a nasty question like that.
16:25It's called negotiation.
16:26You set a number.
16:27And if you go down, you know, if I set a number
16:29at a ridiculous high number and I go down a
16:32little bit, you know, a little bit, they want me
16:34to hold that number 145 percent tariff.
16:38Even I said, man, that really got up.
16:40You know how it got?
16:41Because of fentanyl and many other things.
16:44And you added it up.
16:45I said, where are we now?
16:47We're at 145 percent.
16:48I said, whoa, that's high.
16:50That's high.
16:51They were doing no business whatsoever.
16:53And they were having a lot of problems.
16:54We were very nice to China.
16:55I don't know if they're going to be nice to us,
16:57but we were very nice to China.
16:59And in many ways, I think we really helped China
17:01tremendously because, you know, they were having
17:03great difficulty because we were basically going
17:06cold turkey with China.
17:08We were doing no business because of the tariff,
17:10because it was so high.
17:12But I knew that.
17:13But don't ever say what you said.
17:16That's a nasty question.
17:17Go ahead.
17:17To me, that's the nastiest question.
17:19Wait a minute.
17:21Wait.
17:22Go ahead, please.
17:23Go ahead.
17:23The Press President Zelensky says he's ready
17:25to sit down with you and Vladimir Putin in Geneva.
17:28And it sounds like General Kellogg is working
17:31on preparations for that.
17:32Are you planning to sit down with the two of them?
17:34Well, I will if it's necessary.
17:36You know, it takes — we have to — I think I'm —
17:40at this point — I wish it would have been that way
17:42a couple of months ago.
17:44But at this point, we're working on President Putin.
17:48And we'll see where we are.
17:50I think we're doing fine, but we'll see.
17:51I don't like what's happening.
17:52That's one thing I'll say.
17:53I don't like — when I see rockets being shot
17:56into cities, that's no good.
17:58We're not going to allow it.
17:59You've always said that the war never would have started
18:01if you were President.
18:02Would have never happened.
18:03And it didn't happen.
18:04And yet, he doesn't seem willing to do anything
18:05that you want him to do.
18:07Do you still believe that, that he wouldn't
18:08have launched a war?
18:09No, no.
18:10We would have never had a war.
18:12We would have never had a war.
18:13If I were President, if the election weren't rigged,
18:16you wouldn't have had the war.
18:17You wouldn't have had the war.
18:18You wouldn't have had inflation.
18:20You wouldn't have had October 7th.
18:22That would have never happened because Iran
18:24was stone-cold broke.
18:25They didn't have any money to give to Hamas or Hezbollah.
18:29You wouldn't have had that Afghanistan
18:31most embarrassing moment in the history of our country.
18:33You wouldn't have had any of it.
18:35You wouldn't have had inflation because energy costs.
18:37Look what happened.
18:39I brought inflation down to practically zero.
18:42And all of the groceries and all of the eggs
18:44and all of the things that you've been hearing about,
18:47they're back down.
18:48They're way down from where they were.
18:50I did something in four months that nobody's seen.
18:53I have to say, in four months — and I said it before,
18:55and everyone is talking about it all over the world —
18:57we've got the hottest country anywhere in the world right now.
19:01We're the only country anybody is even talking about.
19:03All right. Please, go ahead.
19:04The Press What stopped you from imposing
19:06new sanctions on Russia?
19:08The President Only the fact that,
19:09if I think I'm close to getting a deal,
19:11I don't want to screw it up by doing that.
19:14Let me tell you, I'm a lot tougher
19:15than the people you're talking about.
19:17But you have to know when to use that.
19:20If I think it's going to hurt a deal — this isn't my war.
19:23This is Biden's war, Zelensky's war, and Putin's war.
19:27This isn't Trump's war.
19:28I'm only here for one thing, to see if I can end it.
19:30To save 5,000 lives a week and a lot of money.
19:35The money being much less important.
19:36Because I made that money — I went to Saudi Arabia,
19:40Qatar, and UAE, and we brought back $5.1 trillion.
19:46So, I made that money in about two hours.
19:48The money that we're talking about.
19:49But it's still — think of it — $300 billion we've spent.
19:54With no checks, no balances.
19:56They just send cash.
19:58You can imagine what's happened to that money.
20:01I never saw anything like it in my life.
20:03But I'm more interested because I picked up $5.1 trillion.
20:08And, by the way, got a beautiful, big,
20:11magnificent free airplane for the United States Air Force.
20:15Okay? Very proud of that, too.
20:17They tried to say, oh, it's Trump's airplane.
20:19Oh, yeah, sure. It's too big.
20:21It's — frankly, it's too big. Much too big.
20:27Well, it's here already.
20:28It's in the country. It's being refitted for military standard.
20:33Oh, I don't know. Whatever it is.
20:35A hell of a lot less than building a new one.
20:37We're waiting too long from Boeing.
20:39Boeing has got to get its act together.
20:40Yeah.
20:43Yeah.
20:48Nothing to do with TikTok.
20:50Totally different kind of a deal.
20:52We'll have to get — you know, to do it properly,
20:54we'll probably have to get China's approval.
20:56China is never easy. China is never easy.
20:59But I think — yeah, I think we'll be able to save TikTok.
21:01I'd like to save TikTok.
21:03I mean, TikTok was very good to me.
21:05I won the young people by 37 percent.
21:08No Republicans ever won.
21:10And I won by 37 percent.
21:13And Charlie Kirk will tell you, TikTok helped.
21:17But Charlie Kirk helped also.
21:18Oh, he just happens to be here. Look at him.
21:22He loves that we mentioned that name.
21:24Right, Charlie? He's done great.
21:26And I appreciate all the help. But with young people,
21:28we won by 37 percent, Charlie.
21:30And you helped, but TikTok was amazing.
21:33And he was the first one. He said, get on TikTok.
21:35So I have a little bit of a warm spot.
21:37I know I shouldn't — they'll say,
21:38quid pro quo.
21:40Put him in jail for the rest of his life.
21:42Quid pro quo.
21:43No, TikTok was very good to me. I won young people.
21:46I don't know if it was because of TikTok,
21:49but it was — something happened.
21:52No Republican has ever won — they call them young people.
21:56Young people, you can define it a lot of different ways.
21:58But I won every age group in young people.
22:02And it never happened. And won by 37 percent.
22:05That's a lot. Yeah.
22:07Back on — back on Iran.
22:08Did you warn Prime Minister Netanyahu
22:10against taking some sort of actions
22:12that could disrupt the talks there in a phone call last week?
22:16Well, I'd like to be honest. Yes, I did.
22:20Next question, please.
22:22Mr. President, did you call sanctions?
22:23I did. Yeah, I did.
22:24Did Senate Republicans want to push for —
22:26It's not a warning. I said, I don't think it's appropriate.
22:29What exactly did you tell him? Did you caution him?
22:30I just said, I don't think it's appropriate.
22:32We're talking — we're having very good discussions with him.
22:34And I said, I don't think it's appropriate right now.
22:37Because if we can settle it with a very strong document —
22:40very strong — with inspections and — no trust.
22:45I don't trust anybody. I don't trust anybody.
22:49So, no trust. I want it very strong,
22:51where we can go in with inspectors.
22:53We can take whatever we want.
22:54We can blow up whatever we want, but nobody getting killed.
22:58We can blow up a lab, but nobody is going to be in the lab
23:00as opposed to everybody being in the lab
23:02and blowing it up. Right? Two ways of doing it.
23:06Yeah, I told him this would be inappropriate to do right now
23:08because we're very close to a solution.
23:10Now, that could change at any moment.
23:13It could change with a phone call.
23:15But right now, I think they want to make a deal.
23:17And if we can make a deal, it'll save a lot of lives.
23:20When do you think a deal could happen on Iran?
23:26On which?
23:28A deal with Iran could happen. When do you think?
23:30Oh, I don't know. I think over the next couple of weeks,
23:32if it happens. Yeah?
23:33On the — when could the administration
23:36resume the interviews for foreign students' visas?
23:39When do you think your administration
23:41could resume these interviews for —
23:43On what?
23:43For the foreign students' visas. Yesterday, there was —
23:46For the French visas?
23:47For the foreign — French too, but all the foreign students.
23:50Oh, for the foreign visas?
23:52What are you referring — foreign visas for what?
23:55Are you talking about for colleges?
23:56Yes, college students.
23:57Okay, so you're off of Israel.
23:58Now you're talking about colleges, right?
23:59Yes, now.
24:01Well, we're going to see — look, Harvard has been a disaster.
24:05They've taken five-plus, by the way.
24:08Five billion dollars-plus. Five billion.
24:11Nobody knew that they were making this kind —
24:12if we didn't do this, nobody would have —
24:14we would have never found this out, Pam.
24:16They're taking five billion dollars.
24:20And I'd rather see that money go to trade schools.
24:22And by the way, they're totally anti-Semitic at Harvard,
24:25as you know, and some other colleges too,
24:27in all fairness to them.
24:29And it's been exposed — very exposed.
24:31And I think they're dealing very badly.
24:33Every time they fight, they lose another $250 million.
24:37Yesterday, we found another $100 million.
24:41And they have — you know, they have a fund —
24:4252 — an endowment — $52 billion.
24:47All right? They get a lot of that from the United States.
24:51And I think it's ridiculous. I think this —
24:54everyone is coming up to me saying,
24:57we love the idea of trade schools.
24:59With that kind of money — and money from others,
25:01but money from them —
25:03you can have the best trade schools anywhere in the world.
25:06You give them to Iowa, Indiana —
25:09lots of good states, well-run states.
25:12And you give them the money,
25:13they can only be used for trade schools.
25:15And they'll teach people how to build motors and cars and AI.
25:20You know, the AI — we're building plants.
25:22We're building hundreds of billions of dollars
25:26worth of AI plants. Already started, many of them.
25:29We've never had a boom like we're having now.
25:31You're going to see it. There's never been anything like it.
25:34So we're up to about $14 trillion in investments.
25:38There's never been anything even close.
25:40You look at Biden.
25:41This guy, they had people leaving as opposed to investing.
25:45And they're doing it because of November —
25:47really, November 5th.
25:48And they're doing it because of the tariffs.
25:51The tariffs have been tremendous.
25:53Well, I can promise you —
25:56and I have great respect for the people at the European Union —
26:00they wouldn't be over here today negotiating
26:02if I didn't put a 50 percent tariff on.
26:06The sad thing is, now when I make a deal with them,
26:08it's something much more reasonable.
26:10They'll say, oh, he was chicken.
26:12He was chicken. That's so unbelievable.
26:16I usually have the opposite problem.
26:19They say, you're too tough.
26:21Mr. President, on Harvard,
26:22there were some Jewish students protesting on campus yesterday.
26:26They said they don't want you making these huge cuts,
26:30cutting off student visas to Harvard in their name
26:33because they feel like it's a target.
26:35Okay, Harvard has to show us their lists.
26:38They have foreign students.
26:39About 31 percent of their students are foreign-based.
26:43Almost 31 percent.
26:46We want to know where those students come.
26:47Are they troublemakers? What countries do they come?
26:50And we're not going to — if somebody is coming
26:52from a certain country and they're 100 percent fine,
26:55which I hope most of them are, but many of them won't be,
26:58you're going to see some very radical people.
27:00They're taking people from areas of the world
27:02that are very radicalized.
27:04And we don't want them making trouble in our country.
27:07So, I saw yesterday that in the middle of the UK,
27:13there was a nice young man.
27:15He wants to go back to school at Harvard.
27:17And he looked good to me, but I want to check his pass.
27:19But we want to be able to see.
27:22Why — you know, these countries aren't helping us.
27:24They're not investing in Harvard and all of our — we are.
27:28So, why would 31 percent — why would a number so big —
27:31I think a — number one, I think they should have a cap
27:33of maybe around 15 percent, not 31 percent.
27:38We have people want to go to Harvard and other schools
27:40they can't get in
27:41because we have foreign students there.
27:43But I want to make sure that the foreign students
27:45are people that can love our country.
27:48We don't want to see shopping centers exploding.
27:50We don't want to see the kind of riots that you had.
27:53And I'll tell you what, many of those students
27:54didn't go anywhere. Many of those students
27:56were troublemakers caused by the radical
27:58left lunatics in this country.
28:00All right, one more question.
28:01Go ahead, please.
28:03Will you pardon the people who are accused of conspiring
28:06to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer?
28:08I'm going to look at it. I will take a look at it.
28:11It's been brought to my attention.
28:12I did watch the trial.
28:14It looked to me like somewhat of a railroad job.
28:17I'll be honest with you, it looked to me
28:18like some people said some stupid things.
28:20You know, they were drinking, and I think they said stupid things.
28:24But I'll take a look at that.
28:25And a lot of people are asking me that question
28:27from both sides, actually.
28:29A lot of people think they got railroaded.
28:32A lot of people think they got railroaded.
28:35And probably some people don't.
28:37One more. Go ahead.
28:39Yeah, go ahead.
28:40How will the confrontation with Harvard end?
28:42Do you foresee —
28:43I don't know. I don't know.
28:44Harvard has got to behave themselves.
28:46Harvard is treating our country with great disrespect,
28:49and all they're doing is getting in deeper and deeper and deeper.
28:53They've got to behave themselves.
28:54You know, I'm looking out for the country and for Harvard.
28:57I want Harvard to do well. I want Harvard to be great again,
29:01probably, because how could it be great?
29:03How could it be great when you have Harvard
29:05announce two weeks ago
29:08that they are going to teach remedial mathematics —
29:11remedial meaning they're going to teach low-grade mathematics
29:15like 2 plus 2 is 4?
29:18How did these people get into Harvard
29:20if they can't do basic mathematics?
29:24How did they do it? I mean, people with 1,600
29:27on their boards don't get in.
29:28And they're letting people in, and they're bragging
29:31about how they're teaching them basic mathematics.
29:33Where do these people come from?
29:35So we have to look at the list.
29:37And Harvard has to understand,
29:39the last thing I want to do is hurt them.
29:41They're hurting themselves. They're fighting.
29:44You know, Columbia has been really —
29:46and they were very, very bad what they've done.
29:48They're very anti-Semitic and lots of other things.
29:52But they're working with us on finding a solution.
29:55And, you know, they're taking off that hot seat.
29:58But Harvard wants to fight.
29:59They want to show how smart they are.
30:01And they're getting their ass kicked.
30:03Thank you very much, everybody.
