Survivor of Liverpool car ramming talks of shock and panic

Merseyside Police said they were not treating the incident as terrorism and were not looking for other suspects. The force has not identified the arrested driver

00:00Police detectives were still at the scene of Monday's car ramming that left dozens injured.
00:07A 53-year-old man was taken into custody on suspicion of attempted murder.
00:12Police say Tuesday, survivor Jack Trotter escaped with an injured back and legs.
00:18I was taking videos with just random Liverpool fans.
00:21So I was, you know, just having a ball and singing away.
00:23And then I didn't know anything at all that was happening until Abby had started screaming my name, Jack.
00:28And then I sort of put the phone down and looked up.
00:31And then what basically what happened was the car just started ramming through people.
00:35He had hit me and then like when he had hit my legs, I just basically sort of span around.
00:39So I had just about dodged the middle of the bonnet.
00:41And then he clipped my legs to sort of the side of his bonnet.
00:43So I pushed off his bonnet and I couldn't find Jack.
00:47It was a good five minutes of looking for Jack.
00:50I was screaming, crying, absolutely traumatized.
00:53People were running everywhere, not knowing where anybody was.
00:57But he was.
00:58And all I heard, Jack was shouting, I'm here, I'm here.
01:00And we ran up and he hugged me.
01:02And next minute, obviously with the whole atmosphere, you don't know what's going on.
01:07And he just fell against the wall.
01:09And he says, my back, my leg, my back, my leg.
01:12The incident late Monday afternoon turned a jubilant parade into a tragedy that sent 50 people to hospitals for treatment of their injuries.
01:20Eleven remained hospitalized Tuesday in stable condition.
