00:00Buckingham Palace has described this trip as impactful.
00:04This comes amid delicate relations between America and Canada.
00:09What are the main hopes and objectives for this visit?
00:15Well, hello to you, Leanne.
00:16This is a very short trip, just over 24 hours,
00:20but it is certainly going to pack a punch in terms of its significance and its symbolism.
00:25As we see King Charles, the King of Canada, jessing into the country,
00:31just as it is trying to fend off advances from the quasi-King of America, Donald Trump.
00:37Now, the King is going to have to employ all of those years of experience as a global statesman
00:43to walk the diplomatic tightrope,
00:47because he is being employed by Keir Starmer, the British Prime Minister,
00:51to try and ensure closer ties between Britain and the United States.
00:56At the same time as the new Canadian Prime Minister, Mark Carney,
01:01is calling on the King to bolster Canada's sovereignty
01:05and its resistance of Donald Trump's calls for Canada to become the 51st state.
