01:06and economic development.
01:08The people of Gujarat are very excited about Prime Minister Modi's visit to Gujarat.
01:19People are ready to welcome him.
01:50Gujj and Ahmedabad.
01:51His journey will begin with a roadshow in Vadodara at 9.45 am, followed by the unveiling
01:57of a locomotive plant in Dhakhor.
02:00Prime Minister Modi will be unveiling a slew of projects in Gujarat during his two-day
02:05visit worth Rs 82,000 crore.
02:10My colleague Piyush Mishra is joining us live from Vadodara, where the Prime Minister will
02:15be landing any time from now.
02:17Piyush, what are the arrangements that have been made for Prime Minister's grand welcome?
02:21And he will also be holding a roadshow.
02:23Give us more details.
02:34Alright, Piyush is with us.
02:36Piyush, a very good morning to you.
02:38Tell us about the arrangements that have been made for Prime Minister's grand welcome in
02:42Vadodara, where he will also be holding a roadshow.
02:48Well, certainly, Anjali, there are multiple programs which Prime Minister Narendra Modi
02:53is going to attend in Gujarat.
02:56It's his two-day visit and he's first coming to Vadodara here in Gujarat.
03:01I would ask my videographer to pan his camera and show you the visuals as to how more than
03:0630,000 women from across Gujarat have come here to welcome Prime Minister and they are
03:12here to congratulate him, to welcome him after the success of Operation Sindoor.
03:18The moment he lands here, in a few minutes from now, he will address the gathering.
03:24He's also going to do a roadshow and after that he will go to different parts of Gujarat
03:29and will take part in various developmental projects.
03:32But before that, we are seeing a sense of excitement where people have come here, especially
03:38women from across Gujarat to welcome Prime Minister and they are holding the tricolour
03:42in their hand.
03:43Also, we have a former MP from Baroda, she's also here to welcome Prime Minister.
03:50Let me try to understand from her, you know, the kind of programs that are going to take
03:56place throughout the day.
04:39Alright, so that was my colleague Piyush Mishra getting us all those updates right from the
04:44ground in Vadodara where the Prime Minister will be arriving anytime from now.
04:49India is ramping up its diplomatic offensive to expose Pakistan's role in cross-border
05:12terrorism and is also gathering significant international support in its global fight
05:16against terror.
05:17Led by senior political leaders, Indian delegations are engaging with global counterparts to raise
05:22awareness about the persistent threat of Pakistan-sponsored terrorism.
05:26AIMIM chief Hasuddin Owaisi, part of one such delegation, launched a blistering attack on
05:31Pakistan, calling it an aggressor and not a victim.
05:35Earlier, NCP MP Supriya Sule led a delegation that met with Qatar's Shura Council, underlining
05:41India's unwavering commitment to fighting terror.
05:44She also said that India is receiving widespread international support in this effort.
05:49Another all-party delegation, headed by JDU MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, met with India's ambassador
05:54in South Korea to discuss regional security and bolster global counter-terrorism cooperation.
06:00DMK MP Kanimori, who led a delegation to Russia, described the visit as positive, noting that
06:06Russian lawmakers and opinion makers were receptive to India's viewpoint.
06:14I was extremely grateful for the warm welcome extended by the Prime Minister, who hosted
06:18us to dinner on this old sugar plantation, right near where the Independence Day celebrations
06:24are taking place.
06:25We recognize it's a very busy time for the government of Guyana.
06:29They have, as you know, their big 59th Independence Day coming up.
06:34Their ceremonies are at night, culminating in a flag hoisting at midnight.
06:38That's their tradition.
06:40So, we were very touched when the Prime Minister insisted we come for dinner.
06:45Beforehand, many members of the cabinet were present.
06:48Finance Minister, Health Minister, Agriculture Minister, various other ministers were present.
06:53And we had some very good conversations.
06:55Members of the delegation talked to the other ministers.
06:58I mentioned, of course, the issue of terrorism.
07:00We have been communicating our objectives.
07:05War with Pakistan is right now in cessation.
07:09But the next part is that we must ensure that this doesn't happen again.
07:14And the terrorism that Pakistan has indulged in, we have highlighted and given facts and
07:20figures to our friends here in Bahrain.
07:23There is no tolerance for terrorism anywhere.
07:26And that is a good message that we are hearing everywhere.
07:31So, the outcome of these discussions are something that we are hopeful about.
07:36I think it will lead to a situation where Pakistan will increasingly realize they cannot keep
07:42doing what they have been doing.
08:00The responsibility of being a nation that is admired in the world and a nation that
08:27is sending out a message to say, we want to lead the world.
08:31We want to be Vishwa Guru.
08:34We want to be Vishwa Mitra.
08:36That's a huge responsibility.
08:38If you were just in a small, irresponsible state, you could do anything you like and
08:43then hope for the best.
08:45But we have an enormous responsibility.
08:47And therefore, restraint, responsibility is very, very important.
08:52But not at the expense of the defense of our sovereignty and the defense of our people.
08:59There was a very good meeting in Doha.
09:01And we had a very senior and learned delegation with us.
09:04All of us are MPs.
09:06Everyone told us about the truth of India and the attack on India.
09:14They gave a very good response.
09:17Russia has always been a very important partner and they respect us.
09:23Our Prime Minister and our External Affairs Minister have spoken to the leaders there
09:33and the President and the Foreign Minister about what happened in Pahalgam.
09:39And they've explained our stand to them already.
09:43Russia, the lawmakers there, the opinion makers there, were very receptive.
09:49They understood what we had come to communicate.
09:53And they promised to stand with us and to fight against terrorism.
09:59When we are here for a mission, we are united.
10:02And that reflects the syncretic culture of India, which has got rich diversity.
10:09Even now with the convergence here, I could find a Malayali here and a Sardarji here
10:14and somebody from Tamil Nadu.
10:16That is what is called India.
10:18And we have a constitution, which is a secular constitution, which is a democratic constitution,
10:23whereby Pakistan is a theocratic state, which is born out of religion,
10:28which thrives on hate and hatred, bigotry, whereas we have a different trajectory altogether.
10:35So our aspirations are entirely different from Pakistan.
10:38And we're now getting some breaking news.
10:46BJP MP's sensational charge on Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi.
10:51BJP MP Nishikant Dubey Bose classified US documents from 1963 and says
10:57Indira Gandhi wanted to give parts of Kashmir to Pakistan.
11:01He also claims that Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi were under US pressure
11:06to give parts of Kashmir to Pakistan.
11:09So sensational allegation coming to the fore from BJP MP Nishikant Dubey
11:14against Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi.
11:17BJP MP Nishikant Dubey has posted classified US documents from the year 1963
11:23saying that Indira Gandhi wanted to give parts of Kashmir to Pakistan.
11:27He also claims that Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi were under US pressure.
11:33My colleague Aishwarya Palliwal is now joining us with more details on this.
11:38Aishwarya, could you give us more context to the claims and serious allegations
11:42that have been made by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey against Jawaharlal Nehru and Indira Gandhi?
11:48Well, we are seeing, you know, both the Congress party as well as the BJP party
11:52clipping through the history pages there.
11:54Pointing fingers is something that we have seen taking place since the 22nd of April
11:58when the dastardly Telgaon terror attack took place.
12:00Nishikant Dubey now pointing fingers at Indira Gandhi and saying that they were the ones, actually,
12:05who used to sit with Dhrupad Ali Bhutto from 1962 to 1964.
12:09And what you are seeing, and he's even posted that letter,
12:12that under the influence of Pakistan and under the influence of Dhrupad Ali Bhutto,
12:17it was Indira Gandhi who used to make sure that India, and not just her,
12:20in fact, even pointing fingers at her father, the former Prime Minister,
12:24Patil Jawaharlal Nehru, and saying that they were the ones,
12:26it was the Congress party because of which we are in this mess.
12:29Pawan Khera from the Congress has responded to it and said
12:32that you should actually go through your history and see the way in which
12:35Mr. Advani and Mr. Jaspal Singh, they used to publicly praise Mr. Jinnah.
12:39So we are seeing a war of words between the Congress and the BJP.
12:42Alright, Aishwarya, thank you so much for getting us all those details and for that context.
12:46With that, we are now shifting our focus.
12:49As BJP leaders continue to draw fire over their controversial remarks,
12:53sources tell India Today that during a crucial NDA huddle,
12:56the Prime Minister gave a stern dressing down to BJP motor mouths for their reckless statements.
13:01Drawing a Lakshman Rekha, the Prime Minister urged restraint
13:04and also advised leaders to steer clear of unnecessary and provocative commentary.
13:09BJP MP Ramchandra Jangra triggered an outrage over his comments on the Pahalgam terror attack.
13:15Speaking at an event commemorating Devi Ahilyabai Holkar,
13:19Jangra claimed that the women who lost their husbands in the attack lacked courage and spirit.
13:24He also went a step further saying that had the women fought back
13:28instead of pleading with the terrorists, fewer lives might have been lost.
13:32And this wasn't a one-off. He repeated the statement.
13:35Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Minister Vijay Shah had also faced much criticism
13:39over his remark on Colonel Sophia Qureshi.
13:42However, after the backlash, he issued an apology, calling it a linguistic error.
13:48I agree that they should have fought back.
13:51If they had fought back, they would have lost their lives.
13:55They should have fought back.
13:57Who lets go of a hand in hand?
13:59They came to kill. They were terrorists.
14:02They were murderers. They had no mercy.
14:04They shouldn't have let go of their hands.
14:07If they had fought back, there would have been fewer casualties.
14:11The women who lost their husbands in the attack,
14:16if they had pleaded with Ahilyabai,
14:19they would have been killed.
14:25They lacked courage and spirit.
14:28They should have fought back.
14:31The women who destroyed our daughters' vermilion,
14:34we sent their sister to get her AC fixed.
14:41They took off our clothes and killed our Hindus.
14:44And Modi ji sent his sister to get her AC fixed.
14:54And even as India continues to roll post-operation sindoor,
14:58Pakistan is scrambling to gather international backing.
15:01In that effort, Turkish President Erdogan met with Pakistani Prime Minister
15:05Shehbaz Sharif in Istanbul, aiming to boost bilateral cooperation.
15:09At the same time, Pakistan's army chief was in talks with Turkey's defence minister.
15:14The agenda? Strengthening defence ties, expanding economic cooperation
15:18and also exploring tourism development.
15:21But this isn't the first show of support from Turkey.
15:24During the India-Pakistan conflict,
15:26Turkey reportedly supplied nearly 400 drones to Pakistan,
15:30including Bayraktar TB2s, YIHA and Songar units used in strikes on Indian military sites.
15:36Turkish military advisers were involved in planning those operations
15:40with reports of Turkish personnel killed in action.
15:43And when India responded, Erdogan dismissed the strikes as civilian martyrdom,
15:47doubling down on Turkey's unwavering support for Pakistan on Kashmir.
16:01And we're getting some breaking news.

22:25Revealing his 12 year long secret affairs with her.
22:29Despite being married to the granddaughter of a senior Bihar politician.
22:34And a messy divorce proceeding.
22:40The photos and viral videos of Tej Pratap and the woman jolted Bihar politics.
22:45Tej Pratap deleted the post and called it an AI generated image to malign him and his family.
22:52But the damage had already been done.
22:57His father and RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav had no option but to sack him from RJD.
23:03And disown him from the Yadav clan.
23:06Questioning his immoral action which Lalu said questions his values.
23:13The move was backed by Lalu's family.
23:15Who described Tej Pratap's actions as devoid of values inculcated in his upbringing.
23:21And inappropriate public behaviour.
23:45But Lalu's political force are unsparing.
23:48Terming Tej Pratap's sacking a political stunt timed with upcoming polls.
24:16Tej Pratap's estranged wife and her father have in the past vowed to fight politically and legally against the Lalu clan.
24:36His estranged wife claims Tej Pratap is prone to eccentric behaviour and possesses highly erratic traits.
24:43Will the fresh scandal involving Lalu Prasad's elder son impact the Bihar elections?
24:49With Rohit Singh in Patna, Bureau Report, India Today.
25:14Heavy rainfall warnings have been issued to Thane and Palghar districts as well.
25:28Heavy rains leave Mumbai waterlogged.
25:31IMD has issued heavy rains alert in Mumbai.
25:35The Mumbai civic body BMC is bracing for heavy rains.
25:40The warnings have also been issued to Thane and Palghar.
26:11Railway schedule is not disturbed yet because of the monsoon.
26:17But the government is keeping a close eye on the rain and the situation which will going to occur because of the rain.
26:24Because Mumbai is a low lying area.
26:27And due to many infrastructure projects going on.
26:31Government is on alert mode.
26:35And they are keeping an eye on every situation and every movement on the road.
26:41On the other hand, IMD has issued orange alert for Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri and other coastal areas.
26:51And also a yellow alert issued by IMD for Mumbai, Palghar and Thane.
26:56According to the IMD, monsoon will enter in the Maharashtra in coming 2-3 days.
27:02This is the time when monsoon is entering in the Maharashtra.
27:06Before it's a scheduled time.
27:08The monsoon was expected in the June in Maharashtra.
27:12But now it will be coming in the May end.
27:15With camera person Sahil Chavan, this is Dipesh Tripathi for India Today, Mumbai.
27:31Right now, we are at one of the highways of Mumbai.
27:38And right now, as you can see, the rain has been slowed down.
27:43But before this, there was a heavy rainfall.
27:51And due to which, there was a water logging in certain Mumbai's low lying areas.
27:56Which is Mumbai's King Circle, Hind Mata, Science Circle.
28:01These all are the low lying areas of Mumbai where water logging happened because of the heavy rainfall.
28:08But right now, the downpour has been slowed down.
28:12And IMD has issued a yellow alert for Mumbai.
28:17But they have said that if the heavy downpour continues for another few hours,
28:22then the alert may be changed and they have to see what the condition will be.
28:27As we spoke to the IMD officials, they said that this is still the pre-monsoon showers.
28:33Because it will take 2-3 days monsoon to enter in the Maharashtra.
28:37Alright, Dipesh. Thank you for getting us those details on the rainfall in Mumbai.
28:42And with that, we are now shifting focus. We are getting some breaking news.
28:53There's a twist in Karnataka Congress-BJP fake news war.
28:58The BJP has turned the table on Karnataka graft wars.
29:02Remember, the Congress launched 40% Sarkara drive but is now crying foul
29:07as the government panel found Congress 40% scam charge untrue.
29:12Siddharth Maya Sarkar gets a taste of his own medicine is the question.
29:17The 40% Sarkara push has backfired for the Congress as the government panel has found
29:22that the 40% scam charge against the BJP was untrue.
29:27My colleague Sagai Raj is now joining us with more details on this.
29:31Sagai, tell us more about what the government panel has found as far as the 40% scam charge is concerned.
29:48However, they have not ruled out that there was corruption charges in the previous BJP government.
29:54Now we are talking about the gag order which has been issued by Karnataka Congress government
29:58where they have stated that they will file a defamation case against the opposition party BJP and BJP leaders
30:04where they have alleged that they are spreading misinformation and trying to give fake advertisement
30:10to all electronic media where they have alleged that the government has not performed
30:16in the last few years and rather they have also underperformed.
30:19For an example, BJP has alleged that there are guarantees which have not been implemented
30:23but the government claims that all the guarantees are implemented, everything is on track
30:27and there is money which is flowing to them. However, the BJP claims otherwise.
30:31They have also alleged various scams under Karnataka Congress government.
30:35The government says that these are fake news and fake information
30:38and they will be filing a defamation case against the opposition party BJP in the state of Karnataka.
30:44Ujjain Prasad BJP President has tweeted about this saying that Karnataka Congress is playing vindictive politics
30:50and they are trying to target BJP whenever they are targeting the Karnataka Congress government
30:55on the lines of scams and misconduct.
30:59How has the BJP reacted to the government panel's findings?
31:29Also, Sagai, with these findings of the government panel,
31:54has the Sidharmaya government also lost some credibility?
31:58Sidharmaya government claims that they made allegations on the basis of the contractor association.
32:06It is the contractor association who has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi,
32:10President as well as the Governor, stating that there is an increasing corruption surges
32:15and the Congress claims that whatever the claims or allegations made by the contractor association,
32:22they used that as their campaign USP where they had attacked BJP
32:28and that has helped Congress to come back to power in the state of Karnataka.
32:34Congress is saying that they were trying to toe the lines of the contractors
32:39who have alleged that there is a 40% corruption and it is not the Congress government
32:43and they say that whatever the allegations were made, it was made by contractors.
32:47They had written a letter, there was a person who committed a suicide,
32:50claiming that there was large scale corruption
32:53and even then Minister K Sikarappa had tendered his resignation on the basis of corruption charges.
32:58So, they are pointing out Congress and the other agencies which have made allegations against the BJP.
33:04Alright Sagai, thank you for all those details and for that context.
33:08With that, we are now shifting focus.
33:10Just a day after Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin attended Neeti Aayog meeting in Delhi,
33:15TVK Chief Vijay hit out at Stalin.
33:18Vijay claimed that there was a covert alliance between Stalin and the BJP.
33:22He added that DMK has pledged Tamil Nadu's dignity
33:25and CM Stalin went to Delhi in the garb of Neeti Aayog meet
33:29so that he could meet PM Modi and shield the corrupt.
33:33AIDMK General Secretary has echoed a similar tone
33:36and said that Stalin approached BJP with a white umbrella fearing raids from agencies.
33:41EPS also alleged that Stalin was forced to attend the Neeti Aayog meeting.
33:45Meanwhile, M K Stalin hit back at AIDMK's Palani Swamy
33:49who vouched that his party would never form an alliance with the Saffron Party
33:53when running to it to make peace after a single raid by the ED.
33:57He also claimed that even AIDMK carder was not aware about the meeting between EPS
34:03and Home Minister Amit Shah in Delhi.
34:11So this Bhaktshahi Party.
34:16Bhaktshahi Party.
34:22After the successful Operation Sindhur,
34:24many make-in-India manufacturers are stepping into the limelight.
34:27One such company is Zupa Geo Navigation Technologies.
34:31This Chennai-based company's drones were used for early warning systems
34:35to monitor ground attacks and enemy troop movements during Operation Sindhur.
34:39They are the manufacturers of the Hawk, Scout and Eagle drones
34:43which were used by the Indian Defence Forces in the operation.
34:46My colleague Pramod Madhav brings us this report. Take a look.
34:51A couple of years ago, the Russia-Ukraine war showed the importance of drone.
34:55The recent way Indian Defence Forces used the drone technology
35:00actually showed the entire world raising a lot of questions about
35:04are the conventional weapons, when it comes to war, are they losing their effectiveness?
35:10However, we are at one workshop in Chennai where these drones,
35:15there are Scouts, Hawks and Eagles over here which were used in Operation Sindhur
35:21successfully to actually combat the enemy by providing surveillance
35:26and these are drones that are being produced in Chennai as well.
35:30These are designs that have been made.
35:32Let me just come back.
35:33You see over there and the thing I want to show you over there is like see how a screen,
35:37it has a point for the marked target and then you have the range from there.
35:41If I need to show this particular, this is the actual machine over here.
35:46It's not going to be beautiful.
35:47It's not going to be beautiful because it's a modular design.
35:51If something happens, they have to immediately repair the parts on the ground.
35:55So, it's made in such a manner that immediately they kind of be the propeller,
35:59be the arm or be the covering shell.
36:01Everything has to be done within like seconds because each and every second is very precious when it comes to war
36:07and that is why it has been designed in this manner and it has helped in by providing surveillance.
36:12Remember, climbing over a hill for one hour to go into an enemy territory during a period of attack or war zone,
36:19it's like definitely there will be like unfortunate loss of life or any kind of issues and from there,
36:24this just to surveil that area but this Hawk drone was able to do that from an altitude of 1.5 kilometers
36:32giving the latitude and the longitude of that particular area.
36:36If they are going to place any mortar shells over there for the attack or a kind of howitzer or something,
36:41everything was given.
36:43So, this machine was used.
36:45This drone was used as an early warning system during Operation Sindhu for any kind of ground attack
36:52and it has definitely played a very important role along with this company Zupa over here
36:57and they have done a commendable job.
36:59The nation thanks you.
37:00Thank you so much for having here with Daniel from Madh Madhav for interview.
37:04How did Zupa play a role when it comes to Operation Sindhu?
37:08So, we have been producing as well as rolling out these drones which are cyber secure
37:15and the electronics have been completely made by us over the last four to five years.
37:21We have been working with the defense forces from 2023 to roll out what we call as a
37:26ultra portable surveillance platform which is what we call as Scout and Hawk in our terminology.
37:32We have supplied over 150 units till now to various army commands and brigades all over India.
37:39They have been primarily, in Op Sindhu it has been primarily used as a over the hill surveillance tool
37:45where it has not been, it has not crossed the LOC per se.
37:49It has been within our side of the LOC but it has been able to look here close to about
37:55kilometer, two kilometers inside visually to see you know if mortars are being set up,
38:01if there is a LOC intrusion which is happening, if there is some type of artillery fire station
38:07which is being set up or LMGs, NIGs, any kind of troop movement on the enemy side.
38:13It is actually a force multiplier because it gives a bird's eye view perspective of the battlefield
38:19and more importantly it does not put any person's life per se at risk.
38:25They have been cyber secure rated and they are compliant to a standard called OWASP 4.0
38:33which ensures that under battlefield conditions they cannot be hacked.
38:38So you know it is counterintuitive if suppose we send a drone from our side
38:43and our enemy is able to obtain the base location as well as peer into our field
38:49then there is no point of having a drone actually going.
38:55Former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina launches a blistering attack on the UNISLEAD interim government

41:46Bureau report, India Today.
41:53India has become the fourth largest economy in the world overtaking Japan.
41:57At the Neeti Aayog meeting, CEO BVR Subramanian said
42:02But is India's GDP an accurate representation of its economic development?
42:06Here's a report.
42:21A massive milestone in India's economic march.
42:24India has become the world's fourth largest economy.
42:29India has become the world's fourth largest economy.
42:32Overtaking Japan, storming into the elite 4 trillion club.
42:37Neeti Aayog cited IMF data which shows India has edged past Japan.
42:59If we stick to what is being planned, what is being thought through,
43:03in a matter of another two, two and a half to three years,
43:05we would become the third largest economy.
43:10The Modi government is now aiming to overtake Germany
43:13and be the third largest economy in another three years.
43:17This will see it entering the super elite 5 trillion economy club.
43:22With India leaping over the 4 trillion dollar mark,
43:25the US, China and Germany are now the only three economies larger than India.
43:31The US boasts a 30.5 trillion dollar economy,
43:35followed by China at 19.23 trillion dollars
43:38and Germany sits just ahead of India at 4.7 trillion dollars.
43:42A gap that is rapidly shrinking.
43:47Prime Minister Narendra Modi has repeatedly vowed
43:50to take India to the number three position in the global fiscal ladder.
43:55Modi has given us the guarantee to make India the third largest economy in its third term.
44:09And the guarantee of Modi is the guarantee that the guarantee will be fulfilled.
44:27But the opposition claims that GDP is not the most accurate representation of India's economic rise.
44:33Hunger and poverty alleviation are crucial too.
44:38The common citizen understands the economic system better
44:42when progress and happiness reach every household.
44:46When you talk about the size of the GDP,
44:50the top five richest people can't confirm the ocean of inequality.
44:55What can we say about that?
44:57This is what we believe.
44:59We saw a brilliant development of the Reserve Bank of India
45:03giving a bonus to the government of India,
45:062.7 lakh crore rupees.
45:08That really is a very good indicator of how good and how healthy the economy is going.
45:13The government has managed to put food inflation under check.
45:17It has managed to reach out to the GDP levels on very healthy levels.
45:24While India has made rapid progresses,
45:27will the raging tariff wars and geopolitical flux make its onward journey more challenging?
45:33With Chetan Bhutani, Bureau Report, India Today.
