00:00He was found out in the open, lying on the ground, in an urban area.
00:05He was the smallest bush baby I've ever seen.
00:08He only weighed 9 grams when he came in.
00:11Initially, I was quite concerned because he was so small.
00:15After about a week or two, he started growing really nicely.
00:19He almost doubled in weight and he was drinking really well
00:22and looking strong and moving around.
00:24So by that point, I felt a lot more optimistic that he was going to make it.
00:27He was alone for quite a while, which is unfortunate for them because they are fairly social
00:31and it's really good for them to have siblings to grow up with.
00:34Around two to three weeks old, he started getting more adventurous and exploring a bit more.
00:43Because they're primates, they have hands that look very similar to ours,
00:46but they've got very powerful hind legs.
00:48They can jump very far distances, especially for their small size.
00:52I'd already had Pebble for about three months when he went to his soft release.
00:58They need time to adjust and learn skills like hunting insects before they can actually be fully released.
01:05So we put them up in a big enclosure outside in the bush.
01:10He is now in a group of five and they're all getting on very well.
01:19They all sleep together in a tiny little house during the day,
01:22even though they have lots of sleeping options.
01:24Once they go off in spring, they should form a little family group
01:28and they should start breeding.
