00:30I was happy I could perform well from the first until the last point.
00:46It's been a good clay court season for you. How did you feel coming in here? You must be carrying a lot of confidence.
00:57I definitely had good tournaments leading up to Roland Garros. Of course, winning the 2015 round was a good tournament for me.
01:10Playing well in Madrid, Rome as well, I feel like I was finding my game in different conditions.
01:17That's what brought me a lot of confidence. I'm trying to work on a few things here on the day off that I'm going to have.
01:30I'll work on a few things that I have to improve and just try to bring my best game for the next round.
01:38Do you think you're a better player now than you were when you were number three in the world?
01:45Well, of course, I have all the experience from previous years. I feel like I'm striking the ball bigger.
01:54I feel that my serve is working pretty well as well. But at that time, I feel like physically I was really, really tough.
02:02Now I feel I have bigger strokes. So a little bit of everything, but the most important that I have and I feel like a good thing that I have is all the experience from previous years being on the top of women's game.
02:20And right now I feel like I'm not so far from top ten. So that's my goal for this season to really be good with the be good with my tennis and of course ranking wise.
02:34Is it still complicated for you to be on tournament with Russian players and we are three years after the sanction and we it seems like the war in Ukraine is being secondary.
02:57How do you deal with it? And do you speak about what happened in Ukraine a lot or it's like it has become the norm?
03:09Well, of course, for many people, it might be a secondary, but for me, it's always the first thing that I have on my mind when I wake up.
03:20Just, you know, just yesterday, there was a massive attack in Kiev. I mean, it was everywhere also in news here. So it's I feel complicated for all the Ukrainians that are on tour still to have to have this situation.
03:38And of course, for me personally, it's very difficult. I had to really work really hard with my psychologist with the people in my team to to find the ways to feel comfortable, you know, in a way.
03:56But of course, it's it's complicated because every single day there is rockets landing in Ukraine. And I know each time I speak to to my parents or my grandmother that are in Ukraine, always bad news.
04:14So yeah, of course, it's it's it's very heavy still for for all of us, all Ukrainians to to have this.
