00:00Well that was a huge blow for Aberdeen, as they edge towards the half-time interval.
00:07And the frustration will be that once again Carter-Bickers is the man in the box causing the mayhem.
00:13They've done so in that League Cup semi.
00:17They made Deline and Peter Lieven there try and plot a way back into this.
00:22And Lieven was interim manager for Aberdeen in that 3-3 semi last season.
00:31No changes for either team at the half-time interval for the start of the second half, which Engels kicks off.
00:38Celtic shoot towards the east end of the stadium.
00:43And the half-time possession statistic there was Celtic 84.1, Aberdeen 15.9.
00:52Seven corners for Celtic, none for the Dons.
00:59The thing is, there's been no shots on target officially. Celtic have scored, it's an OG though.
01:07And everyone will be hoping for better fare in this second half.
01:15Can Aberdeen stay in the game? Stay in the tie?
01:21Get themselves into positions where they can hurt Celtic. It didn't look likely in that first half.
01:34We've got a free kick here in Leighton Clarkson. It's pretty handy in this kind of situation.
01:39It's Shinnie who takes this one. Milne going for it, so too is Dorrington.
01:45And it comes to nothing.
01:47And here goes Ademida. Maida Herdevam.
01:54They both seem to be caught in two minds there, Maida and Jenson. It's in for Kuhn.
02:02Holds on comfortably in the end, but that's how quickly they can slice you open.
02:06Yeah, I don't think Jenson knew whether to stick or twist, to be honest, over on that far side.
02:11When you understand the threat that Maida carries, and how quickly, as you say, Celtic can go from one end of the pitch to the other.
02:18But the end product this afternoon has been the issue.
02:21From both sides, certainly, when you look at the deliveries into the box, the type of runs.
02:25An easy one for a meet-off in the end.
02:27What do you think Tilleen has said to his players at the break, James?
02:32I think continue in the way that they've defended.
02:36Try and use the ball a bit better.
02:38You know, the flashpoint between Carter-Vickers and Schinney.
02:42When the ball comes to Leite-Clarkson, you've got a simple pass.
02:44He's just playing it up the line for Keskinen, who'd made the run.
02:47It goes for the diagonal, which plays into the hands of Celtic.
02:50Put it in behind that back line.
02:52Give Keskinen something to chase.
02:54At the worst case, then, you're maybe even getting a throw-in.
02:56But you're getting your team up the pitch. You're taking the pressure off.
02:58So use the ball a bit better.
03:00You mentioned the possession stats.
03:02It's not good enough.
03:04It's certainly against the ball.
03:06They have looked good, Aberdeen.
03:21Taylor for McGregor.
03:23And now Johnston.
03:26For Nicolas Kuhn.
03:29Nicolas trying to get him back there.
03:31He's more defended by Nisbet.
03:33And Schinney.
03:36He was waiting for the ball to reach him,
03:38and nearly paid a price there.
03:41Palaversa, a haul to the ground by Taylor.
03:46Once cost Manchester City £6m,
03:48Andy Palaversa.
03:51Dreadful injury problems.
03:54Injury problems.
03:57Seasons before arriving at Aberdeen.
04:04French second tier with Troyes.
04:06A little bit of pressure from the Aberdeen front players on the Celtic defence,
04:27and it's got them up the pitch, ultimately.
04:30Yeah, I mean, that's been a difference.
04:32Because in the first half, they'd retreated into their shape,
04:34allowed Celtic to go and build an attack.
04:36Nicky Devlin's the one that goes and leads it,
04:38and forces Celtic on the mistake,
04:40and they have a ball on the edge of the box.
04:43Palaversa, and a goal.
04:45And he's been fouled by Mairis, he's Don Robertson.
04:49And Aberdeen have a free kick,
04:50and a very nice position as a result.
04:57Well, it was an ambitious effort in the first instance.
05:01Palaversa, he gets himself back into an area.
05:05Not too much intention from Maida,
05:07but he certainly looks to come down the back of his Achilles.
05:14It's this type of moment that could change the game for Aberdeen.
05:17It's the type of moments that you need to make the most of,
05:19you've got to capitalise.
05:21It's the reason why you look to have a bit more attention to detail
05:24in training moments, when you look at set-piece opportunities,
05:27and how you work it, how you try to be creative.
05:32How you try to break down,
05:33which is a very good defensive wall in Celtic.
05:41Just a touch over 25 yards from goal,
05:43just to the right of centre.
05:47No Clarkson's capable.
05:50It's been a wonderful free kick against Rangers,
05:53in a recent league match.
05:58Aberdeen need something magical
06:01to try and turn the tie.
06:07It is Clarkson,
06:08and it's a comfortable take for Kasper Schmeichel.
06:11Yeah, it's tame, it's tame.
06:13I think that letting Clarkson would have been practising
06:16free kicks all week,
06:17and probably from that position it's ideal for him.
06:21But he just doesn't get the power on it.
06:23Kasper Schmeichel, I always look at the goalkeeper in that situation,
06:26he stands in the middle, which makes it very difficult
06:29when you're taking the free kick,
06:31but it means that you feel that you need to go for a bit more power.
06:34If you're standing at one side,
06:36you can maybe get it up and over,
06:38and it can be precise without the power,
06:40because the goalkeeper needs to scramble.
06:42But it was really comfortable in the end for Kasper Schmeichel,
06:44and we expect so much more from Leighton Clarkson,
06:46because we know he's more than capable.
06:48He tested Schmeichel in that situation,
06:51but an easy, comfortable one for Schmeichel in the end.

09:26couldn't
09:29Jack Mill's played well so far
09:36give her Johnston
09:40free kick
09:52defensively I've been across the team across the entire unit have been very
09:56good certainly nullified Celtic as much as they possibly can
10:03goal threat but it's the in possession element has to be better the decision
10:07making even case get in a moment or so ago looking to try and play on the spin
10:12he's got to hold the ball up better he needs to bring his teammates and to play
10:17you might have seen copy gay getting ready for Aberdeen to lean making an
10:24early second half change to try and shake things up here
10:31regular starter recently
10:35there's that tenacity from guys in my da there for all to see again fired
10:42forward for data
10:49Taylor
10:56very productive season for Celtic for their third trophy but they made inroads
11:03in the Champions League as well and pushed Bayern Munich all the way in the
11:07knockout playoff round in February
11:12you
11:32Celtic players are like Pistons
11:36proving trying to find a way through popping the ball around yeah but look at
11:43you know Aberdeen are comfortable in their shape and there's a lot of passing and
11:46movement you look at someone that James Forrest who's much spoken about
11:50Yang someone that will go and commit and try and you know maybe you know take
11:54someone out of the game and for someone else to go move out of position to try
11:59and create space for others
12:03handball not sure there's much gonna do gonna done about that there's a corner
12:07though can you still was a little bit lucky because for a moment there look
12:12like he was gonna bring down in the box so Keskinen is being hooked here
12:23it's not really been in the game but it's a good out ball for Aberdeen are you
12:26surprised at this change yeah I think that exactly for that reason I mean he
12:32is and it can be a good out ball I suppose to support the manager's
12:36decision he hasn't been they haven't been able to find them but he hasn't
12:39made the right ones Papagei coming in allows Aberdeen to go a bit more direct
12:44there has been an intent when the ball goes forward from the midfielders the
12:47wing-backs to get higher up the pitch so I can kind of understand it but it is
12:50still surprising it's Keskinen coming off a boo from the Celtic fans given he
12:54put Hattati out of this final and it comes from Kuhn
13:00back in by Bernardo
13:03position there but it's
13:10he was fouled by Maida and the ref agrees
13:14it's just gives you no time it reminds you of a wasp when you're trying to
13:28enjoy a barbecue out in the back garden dies in Maida
13:34I mean he does actually try he looks like he's trying to get out the way
13:37even though he was initially in the way he never looks fazed to be fair
13:41no he doesn't I think he knows what he's doing
13:46well I think he runs back in a straight line he's well aware of where Mitov is
13:49and I know Mitov's looking for that near the
13:52car but I don't think he goes into his path he's just running
13:55back to get into position
13:58better from Aberdeen way out to Jenson it's not a great ball though
14:04he can get into the mixer here
14:13having to go all the way back again but Papaguay has a chance to shoot from
14:1720 yards he overhits the pass wide and Aberdeen need to go all the way back to
14:21start it again well defended well by scales
14:27flags up
14:29I know he's just on Gabe I can't believe he's refused that shot there
14:39you know and probably for you know a bit of encouragement for
14:43Aberdeen that's Devlin that's offside so they are going to commit
14:47I wondered whether it'd be a case of just try and keep it tight and
14:50and almost even get closer to the end of the game before you then go for it
14:54there certainly has been more of a an intent to commit bodies forward from
14:58Aberdeen
15:04despite recent sobering experiences against Celtic Aberdeen
15:07did come from two nil down at Celtic Park back in October
15:13in a draw Celtic took their anger at dropping two points at home
15:19out in the dawns and the semi-final of the League Cup here just a
15:23couple of weeks later
15:28behind Devlin for Johnston
15:33it's understanding between Canusta and Clarkson
15:40angles
15:48on the hour mark here
15:51still just that scrappy own goal separating the teams
16:00a lot of slack passing from from both teams I mean it's I suppose it's going
16:04to happen by the law of averages for Celtic because they're seeing so much of
16:08it but that's another example there of just
16:10that quality in the attacking third not quite being there
16:13yeah I think the quality all over the pitch their points has been very
16:17very slack too many mistakes too many unforced errors
16:20and especially Aberdeen in your own defensive third when you regain
16:24possession you've got to take care of it you need to use that as an opportunity
16:27to build your way up the pitch equally Celtic have been just as poor
16:31at points
16:35wrote his own chapter in Celtic's history last season's final
16:39late winner against Rangers
16:43so
16:47James Forrest will be one of three new players coming on for Celtic shortly
16:57where's he going yeah I get your point but what he's doing
17:02is driving his team up the pitch you don't always need to go past someone
17:05it gets you a break it gets you higher up the pitch and you can build your
17:08attack from a better position he's back on it here
17:13and he's got a steamy free kick
17:18this is where Aberdeen are going to have to try and profit absolutely
17:21and James is spot on I think in this type of game when you're
17:24going to be up against it you're going to be without the ball
17:27huge spells you've got to be smart and how you gain territory and you get into
17:30these types of areas as I say set pieces you can never you
17:35rule them out I think they're such an advantage
17:43certainly when you've got those fans behind you willing the ball into the
17:46back of the net as well
17:53and Aberdeen rattle the Celtic cage here
17:58this bit claims corner he's not getting one though I think he's
18:01he's got a shout I wonder if that comes off Alistair Johnston
18:05great delivery into that near post area it looks like flicks it on maybe onto
18:08Johnston I'm not sure I thought he just flicked
18:12it onto the the head of Alistair Johnston but I don't
18:15think that is the case
18:18I think it actually comes off his shoulder doesn't it
18:22it's an opportunity because it's a good area he gets in in front of Johnston
18:26he just needs to get his head on it that's where Kevin Nisbet wants to be
18:31right there
18:38this time Celtic have a free kick
18:43looks like McCowan and Yang will be on for Celtic along with Forrest shortly
18:49there they are
18:54triple sub is imminent now
19:01Talon McGregor looking to win this tournament for the seventh
19:04time
19:13Goon's away from Devlin, Bernardo
19:19Engles smacks the woodwork
19:25it's good effort
19:29looks like he managed to find that bottom corner
19:33it's Maida and it's straight at Mito there's two chances for Celtic in one
19:37fell swoop well it's better from Celtic in the way
19:41they're moving the ball the intricacy of the passing the speed
19:43of play the one and two touch play in and around the box and then the shot
19:46from Engles it's what you need to do when you've got
19:49that defensive structure in front of you at that point you need to work the ball
19:52you need to manipulate the defense catches it really well in terms of just
19:56digging it out from under his feet
20:03right so Goon will be coming off Ida is also being withdrawn
20:16it might be Matarna Engles last act to hit the post there
20:25no cup final goal for Ida this year
20:3225 of the 90 to play on comes Luke McCowan who made that move
20:37from Dundee it's before the summer window closed
20:42last year Yang has scored three goals against
20:46Aberdeen in his Celtic career including
20:5110 days ago to Todry
21:02it's a changing profile as I mentioned 10 minutes or so ago where
21:05Forrest will get on the ball he'll drive he'll want to commit Nicky Devlin take
21:09him on likewise Yang with Jenson on the other side
21:12and I think that you see James Forrest impact he's had since
21:15you know coming back from injury his performance levels have been of the
21:19highest standard absolutely
21:27Clarkson with it
21:3218-yard line Bernardo gets rid of it what a great ball by Jenson first touch
21:39for Yang
21:43in South Korean
21:50McGregor
21:54Shinnie sticks with him
22:19McCowan was also a scorer in that match
22:24in Granite City
22:28Forrest
22:32McCowan trying to work it back to James Forrest of course the most decorated
22:37player in Celtic's history nowadays
22:41there goes Kevin Nisbet for the dons
22:45Jenson scales
22:51Aberdeen's first corner arrives after 67 minutes
22:56much much better from Aberdeen real composure playing out of their own
23:00defensive third Kevin Nisbet does really well
23:03breaks that line makes a good decision as well to drive allow the game to open
23:07up find the right decision the right pass
23:11and the delivery just forces Liam Scales to put it into his own net
23:16speaking of delivery Leighton Clarkson's will have to be on point here
23:27Scales trying to get rid of it Canusta can't keep it alive
23:33McCowan looking for Forrest
23:37look at the run from Yang ahead of him Forrest's going to find him
23:42McCowan's there too it's Yang and he just delayed it too long
23:50second Celtic goal he just can't see Aberdeen coming back from that
23:55no and you know you look at the two subs combining there I thought Yang was
23:59just going to lay into the path of Maida who was bursting to get it in the box
24:03it just shows you know bringing that freshness to players that are willing to
24:06go and run and take players on
24:15McGregor Maida puts to Johnston blocked by Canusta
24:24it was Forrest again he got that late equaliser against St Mirren last week
24:28which meant he scored in each of the 16 seasons he has
24:32been in the Celtic senior team for
24:38some achievement that
24:52you think back to that semi-final last season Aberdeen
24:55scored late in normal time and late in extra time
24:59to equalise on both occasions to get the penalties
25:04I'm sure Brendan Rodgers will be wary of that which is why he will be very keen
25:09that his team gets another from an insurance policy
25:13it's not a great goal by Paolo Bernardo
25:20well it wasn't now Aberdeen are very much in the game
25:23you know the next goal is so so important especially as the time
25:28ticks on I think Aberdeen have looked better certainly in the second half
25:32carrying more of a threat in terms of getting numbers higher up the pitch
25:37just a delivery from Bernardo doesn't quite get his foot around it
25:41and it's a different challenge now for the defensive three if Aberdeen in terms
25:44of that back line Dorrington Canusta and Milne up against Maida
25:49different profile altogether than Adam Ida much more difficult I think to
25:53understand his movement and how quick
25:56maybe the end of the game for Milne
25:58yeah it doesn't look good does it
26:01Christijs Tovers who is the Latvia international captain
26:06would be the logical replacement unless Tullin wants to change the system
26:14I would imagine he'll keep the system the same if he's forced into this change
26:19because they have been more positive and when they've won the ball back and
26:26tried to cause problems it's given them a good platform to go and try and build
26:31those counters so I'd be surprised if he changed now
26:35to a back four having played with the back three five
26:39at what point do you start being more expansive though because as it stands
26:43you're losing the scottish cup final well I think I think they have been
26:47there's been more emphasis on them trying to get more players forward and
26:51be attacking but I mean if you go and you just run forward
26:56and tell players to get forward at will you're leaving yourself
27:00massively exposed at the back and I understand it's a final but you don't
27:03want to lose it now there's still time in the game where
27:06first and foremost they have to make sure they don't concede
27:08and I think you know we've seen Papaguay running up the
27:11the line getting throw-ins players getting three kicks Nisbet doing well
27:15playing it wide and crosses into the box
27:17I don't think there's a situation certainly right now
27:20where you say right just throw more bodies forward and hope you can get
27:24yourself back into the game I think they're eight or nine minutes away from
27:26really opening up I think there's a chance potentially for
27:30clarks and they're just nicked away from him at the last
27:33and Johnston clears
27:51Johnston followed by Clarkson
27:54Taken it quickly here it's Forrest and Luke McCowan blocked by Canustar
28:08and then it was Taylor's effort deflected over
28:13and you look at Taylor's face that's how close he thought it was
28:18it's relentless from Celtic Alistair Johnston still on the grass
28:22from the initial free kick
28:29Dorrington is it again hitting it over yeah he gets a flick
28:32he might get a glance but it comes because the ball's out to James Forrest
28:36quick and he whips it meaning the Aberdeen defenders need to
28:39run back the way and cover that space which leaves space at the edge of the
28:42box so I know they get the block on it eventually but it's just something
28:45different again from Celtic
28:50Dorrington's struggling now he might get a shoulder problem in the
28:54first half towards the end of it
28:59Jack Milne's giving it another goal but it's the second time Dorrington's been
29:03down he's going to continue for the moment
29:07it'll be a Luke McCowan corner
29:13stabbed away by Dorrington
29:19it's really slack
29:26McCowan though he's reacted well
29:31to his error and he's apologizing
29:36so
29:47Celtic just over 15 minutes away from their latest
29:50treble
29:53will be their sixth last nine seasons probably only won three of them
30:00before that
30:06so
30:23Tobers is coming on he's on the right Dante Palvara on the left
30:29so
30:35Brendan Rodgers domestic cup record as Celtic manager's frightening
30:40this is tie number 43 he's won 41 out of 42
30:48he's won all previous 21 Scottish cup ties as Celtic manager
30:55all 14 of his visits to Hampden
31:09sloppy this time from the holders there's Clarkson but McGregor's there of course
31:15he is
31:17so
31:21wrong side of 30 now Callum McGregor but he's not slowing down
31:24no it's just the number centrally that Celtic have
31:27you know I thought he could have played the forward pass a bit quicker broke the
31:30line in the first instance he waits he takes a touch then he tries
31:34to play but that thing Celtic recover they're so fit they've got such an
31:37engine room in the middle of the pitch I mentioned it earlier on they
31:40suffocate you if you do not move them all quick enough
31:43they literally just take it back off you Callum McGregor is a prime example of
31:47that it's the encouragement you give them I
31:49think when the ball gets played into Nisbet
31:51Clarkson turned his back he's given up on it he lays it in the first time but
31:54he's not aware which allows Celtic to then recover
31:57and you can't give them any encouragement because because of the
32:01way they play the game
32:05McCowan for Johnston here's Forrest
32:11puts it on his right side plummet towards Maida at the back post
32:17it's yet another corner kick for Celtic from this point
32:21for me for Celtic as you keep feeding the ball to James Forrest because
32:25he will come inside and play but he will take defenders on
32:28the shift that the Aberdeen back line have put in
32:32has been monumental in terms of their effort now
32:35the last thing you need is someone dribbling at you that can go either way
32:39more often than not has an end product
32:46Bernardo having a go this time
32:53Forrest back out to Bernardo little reverse from Forrest for McGregor
32:59those two have been front and centre of this chapter in Celtic's history
33:08so
33:22another bite of the cherry here for Bernardo
33:29I hope that's just enough
33:31we saw Christos Tobers getting ready for Aberdeen but he seems to have sat back
33:35down in the semi-final hero on the left there
33:38Odi Dabag will come on
33:42Palaversa off to be replaced by Dante Palvara
33:48Palavara's had some success here before he set up Bojan Mijovski
33:51with the ball and he's got it
33:55Palavara's had some success here before he set up Bojan Mijovski for the League Cup
34:00semi-final winner over Heads last season Clarkson's afternoon's
34:05over as well
34:08and this is an out ball coming on for Aberdeen and Shaden Morris
34:14in this bit replaced by Dabag despite the fact Aberdeen
34:19are in desperate need of a goal heading towards the final 10 minutes
34:25and I'm not sure if Dorrington thought he was being replaced
34:29certainly looks like he's struggling there might be a
34:32a bit of a mix-up with that one yep Dorrington it is
34:40so it's an attacking move by Emet-Elaine because as you saw Tobers was getting
34:45ready to come on but maybe he's looked at the clock and
34:47thought it might well be getting close to caution to the win time
34:52yeah I think the fact that Dorrington looks like he'd run his race as well
34:57he's probably forced the change as well
35:01but it's never never isn't it for Aberdeen
35:0511 minutes left
35:11well it looked like Palaversa was coming off
35:14initially
35:17it seems to be some confusion as to everything that went on there
35:30Callum McGregor's asking what's going on
35:38yes Palaversa continues
35:43we saw clearly we saw Nisbet Clarkson and Dorrington come off there
35:49so Aberdeen put three on and took four off essentially that's what went on
35:54there
35:58how does that happen well you're asking the wrong person
36:04if anyone's going to know out of us I think it's you or Leanne
36:10right James will be the one that knows yeah I've not got a clue
36:16it's final 10 minutes I guess when it comes to cup finals
36:20the one thing you don't want is any regrets
36:26can Aberdeen trouble Kasper Schmeichel between now
36:30and full time
36:33which one from Maida the other thing for Aberdeen is you know they've hung in
36:37the game and kept it one now that they're losing anyway so now is the
36:42time to go for it I don't think obviously you don't want
36:45to end a heavy scoreline but you want to be
36:48coming away from here no matter what happens you know preferably for Jimmy
36:51Tulane as a winner but no matter what happens knowing that
36:54you've given it a go you've given yourself a chance to
36:57to get back into the cup final well there's been no lack of effort from
37:01Aberdeen they've defended very well would you consider
37:04the number of goals they've conceded against Celtic this season and that's
37:07another loose one
37:10it was Papi Gay can he conjure up here if anything
37:14can I go over the line let's play on the bag couldn't get on to it
37:19Jensen for Morris
37:22nice little shuffle that from Polvara it wasn't so good
37:36he's stuck
37:39he's done quite well since coming on
37:42it's no surprise Liam he's not particularly had a
37:46a brilliant time of it of late that's why
37:50as Morris fires it in and it's an equaliser
38:04and it's all about Sheedan Morris who's just on
38:12and that will send the cat amongst the pigeons for sure
38:17well initially it's all about Papi Gay he spoke about his influence since
38:21coming on he does really really well Celtic in the last couple of minutes
38:26the way they move the ball horizontal passes they're the easiest ones to go
38:30and cut out in football in Aberdeen have been all over it
38:35but Sheedan Morris does absolutely everything right in that right hand
38:39side he holds his width initially he isolates
38:42he gives Taylor a decision do you go and press do you tuck in and
38:46such a dangerous area the worst area no man's land
38:53Schmeichel he'll be really disappointed when he sees it back
38:56but it's all about the delivery because he feels compelled to go and deal with
38:59it and he gets it all wrong it's a huge
39:03mistake from Kasper Schmeichel so reliable this season for Celtic
39:07you're right you put the ball in there you ask the
39:10question he's trying to slap it away i think he'd come and gather it
39:15it is a massive error from a man that has been so reliable so consistent
39:20for Celtic this season and Aberdeen have rolled the dice and they've got the
39:26reward for it
39:29and Italian's changes some of the desired effect
39:35and the Scottish Cup final is all square
39:41you've got the club's player of the year Sheedan Morris
39:45he's only started not even double figures
39:48league matches this term Morris such a good impact player
39:52for Aberdeen and he's proven to be again there
39:56absolutely and there's been moments you wonder why
39:59you don't see more of him because he does have that impact
40:02he's got the ability to run at clears he's got the ability to cause problems
40:07his delivery his pace so direct and it's the first time this afternoon Celtic
40:12have really been asked to go and defend their own six yard box and they get it
40:16wrong but that's why it's so important that
40:19you probe and you ask these questions and that you do
40:22allow players to get higher up the pitch and carry that attacking threat
40:25and Jimmy to lean spot on because now is the right time in the game to do that
40:30well this isn't a lengthy VAR check they are
40:33and then a message up on the big screens the police are asking supporters to
40:37return to their seats and the game does restart
40:44now Aberdeen back in the tie with five of the 90 to go
40:53it's game on again
40:59interesting to see whether Aberdeen maintain you know the
41:02intent did they go and try and win it
41:17yes Michael will be furious with himself
41:24when you see it again he's got to go with two hands he goes down with the one
41:28arm the right arm and look to try and almost just block it i think he can go
41:32down and really smother it and get on top of the ball
41:39is this final going to extra time
41:45yang for Celtic
41:49so it's flowing
41:54yang asking for a corner
42:11Micky Devlin's gone down out of your picture with a bit of cramp
42:15hasn't been starting too often recently in a terrific first
42:20third of the campaign that's on capped a couple of times by Scotland
42:33i'm gonna shake some life into that left leg
42:37you can try and you can keep trying i think when it gets to that stage of tiredness
42:42there's only so much you can do just another look at that goal James
42:46yeah i wonder if he feels that scales is going to get a clearance on it
42:50and then it's a reaction to skills not letting it go but going beyond
42:55skills nonetheless i think that he'll be extremely disappointed
42:59and i'm surprised because of the levels that he's shown
43:02this season throughout his career but particularly this season
43:06so the Aberdeen chairman there Celtic goalkeeper's father
43:10such a glittering career Peter Schmeichel
43:14we're hoping that that error doesn't cost his son's team the cup at some point
43:21either in the next few minutes or
43:25another half hour on top of it
43:28it's the Aberdeen fans who are making the noise here
43:31Celtic looks shaken by what's just happened yeah i mean it's been tough because of it so
43:36much control in the game i think they've made positive changes and still you know
43:41look looked a threat but Aberdeen have just gone for it you know that
43:45Shedden Morris coming on there back up alongside Papagate
43:49totally transforming their front line gives a different dynamic to them
43:53offensively and defensively you know it's it's a it's a it's a it's a
43:58gives a different dynamic to them offensively and Celtic the way the players they adjust to
44:05you know what's happening and still look and probe for those spaces but the difference being
44:09Aberdeen have been able to carry a threat now they've been able to get up the pitch
44:13and get some control in the game yeah
44:17the rot crashing to the ground by Jenson and Celtic have a free kick
44:22and we're getting towards Tom Rogic time
44:272017 final Rogic struck early in the stoppage time period to win the first treble for Brendan Rogers
44:38i'm sure that's on the minds of any supporter of either of these teams
44:45it's a real waste isn't it when you look at the area actually thought Celtic could have worked it
45:12Callum McGregor was on at the edge of the box
45:17Jack McKenzie will come on for Devlin
45:21he's putting some shift and not on his natural side of the pitch either
45:26left is Jack McKenzie's natural side this looks like being his last appearance for Aberdeen and
45:34what a moment it would be if he could help the club to the cup seven minutes of stoppage time
45:40have been added at the end here you can see McKenzie above his left eye there
45:45signs of those disgraceful scenes at Tanadise last Saturday
45:50when a fan threw a chair or a part of a chair onto the pitch and it smacked Jack McKenzie on the face
46:00yeah disgraceful as you say Liam and just great that he's actually able to play in the game
46:06he's recovered and well to go and take plays part in but it's a huge huge moment for him
46:12huge occasion an inch further down yeah it's disgraceful yeah an absolute disgrace
46:19James says it's great to see him out on the pitch so quickly after it all happened
46:25given their seven minutes of stoppages there's still plenty of time for
46:28one of these teams to win it and it's Celtic trying to do just that with McGregor
46:36Scales for Yang
46:42Ball for Bernardo, McCowan, Forrest
46:48that's brilliantly defended again combination of McKenzie and Canusta Celtic keeping the pressure
46:55on here another corner the one thing from James Forrest is his decision making he always wins
47:02something or provides something and assess that corner an opportunity
47:08scored in that 3-3 here in the semis last season Johnston showed too much to Paffey Gay
47:15he's gonna let it trickle behind for a goal kick Celtic fans felt Johnston was fouled there
47:22I didn't I don't think Johnston did either going by his reaction
47:26obviously the Celtic fans are going to claim for it it's hopeful from Johnston
47:38I think it's a type of challenge that Alistair Johnson enjoys when he's defending that type of
47:43area of the pitch as well that physicality
47:46Tullin didn't change the shape despite the fact he
47:52to take Dorrington off he's just put Polvara back in to the back line
47:59that favours Maida and Maida's through with a chance to win the cup for Celtic but Mitov
48:06makes the block big moments in big games and that is one of them
48:17and Dyzen Maida he's been player of the season across the board
48:22so the whites of Mitov's eyes and the chance to seal a treble it's a big big save from Mitov
48:28and I know it's an easy thing to say at this stage in a cup final but when you've got Dyzen Maida
48:34bearing down on you almost 1v1 he does really well stays composed keeps himself as big for as
48:43he possibly can in great contact with the feet superb save from Mitov he's just all balanced
48:53slightly when he runs through but how many times I've seen him particularly this season slot that
48:58away fantastic goalkeeping closes the angle and a huge moment to keep his side alive in this cup
49:06bag for Aberdeen up the other end
49:10Palaversa Jensen
49:14and to Morris here he goes that's what he does
49:19and Aberdeen have a corner and we're more than halfway through stoppage time
49:27it's a belief that Aberdeen needs at this stage in the game the bag does really well
49:32shows real composure it would be easy to feel compelled and rush towards goal
49:37checks back out feeds the ball out to that right hand side and again Celtic are forced to defend
49:41something that they didn't need to do for huge parts of this game
49:49you score now you win the Scottish Cup
49:50and from Palaversa can you start
50:10still he goes still they go
50:13oh
50:15forest and it's too close to meet up
50:19now Brendan Rodgers has got his arms out stretched down below us well they tried everything to stop
50:25him it must be the most fouls against the player without him being able to go for him to keep going
50:32the thing is the game's not stopped though so there's nothing really that Don Robertson can
50:35do unless he brings back play Morris Jensen corner again
50:45claims for a handball over in that far side against Greg Taylor
50:51well there's a card coming for somebody here and it's Matt's can you start
51:06we were claiming for a possible penalty here Aberdeen
51:13see Greg Taylor's got his hands in close to his body
51:22and swinger from Palaversa we're moving towards the final minute of stoppage time
51:32back in it comes can you start oh what a chance for Jack Melvin that the flag will spare his blushes
51:43what an opportunity we got a chance to see here
51:47Mr I think stays in yeah he's off I mean initially I couldn't believe he said that
51:53I thought he was going to just touch and hit himself McKenzie's clearance goes straight to
51:57McCowan, Maida, Bernardo is there one last chance for the holders here Forrest
52:08Celtic have a penchant for a late goal looking for one here it's McGregor and blocked by Milne
52:15Jan goes down well cleanly one sees Don Robertson Morris he's overhit that for Gay
52:28and this final looks like going to extra time yeah I mean and I say I forgot to tell whether
52:34it's a foul or not but I've no idea why Shade Morris with the pace and you know the attributes
52:38it has is trying to play a diagram behind for Papagena against him outside him just keep
52:43running commit someone well it is full time after 97 minutes in the end and Shaden Morris's
52:52cameo from the bench and the mistake from Kasper Schmeichel
52:56have forced this extra 30 minutes that after Dorrington's own goal and given Celtic the lead
53:05six minutes before the interval it's an own goal from Schmeichel seven minutes from the end of 90.
53:13It has reignited Aberdeen's belief that they can end this 35-year wait for the Scottish Cup
53:22Celtic's hopes of the treble are back on ice for now it finishes after regulation time Aberdeen 1
53:30Celtic 1
