Sydney's Vivid light show kicked off with a bang last night, transforming the city into a hub of art and culture. At Circular Quay there are various events the famous harbour has to offer.
00:00Vivid will be on for the next 22 nights until June the 14th.
00:08The theme this year is dream and dream people will do.
00:13Everything from whimsical art to maybe a little bit of nightmares and everything up to dreaming of the future and what that might hold.
00:24As you can see the sales behind me are lit up.
00:26That's David McDermott's artwork and he is dreaming of a better future.
00:31If you head to Martin Place this year there is an interactive art display where you can take your own photo and have it projected with an AI dream interpretation onto the walls around the city.
00:44So there really is something for everyone.
00:48What you won't see this year is the drone show.
00:51That is notably missing due to safety concerns.
00:55Last year there were crowd issues getting everybody out of the city after one of those shows.
01:02So this year event organisers have decided to cancel that event.
01:08But there is so many other amazing things.
01:1144 installations across the city.
01:13It's on from 6 till 11pm every single night.
01:18So come on down, enjoy, bring your family.
01:21You can have some food at the culinary delights that will be provided or you can watch and listen to some of the beautiful musical performances.
01:31Everything from young to old there is something for everyone.
