00:00Hi everyone. Thank you so much for this award. I feel hugely humbled, especially when you look at the names of the previous winners and of course receiving it along side Matt tonight.
00:10It's a huge honor to receive this award and I thank you very much for recognizing the work that myself and my family have done in raising vital funds for the cancer pathway in Wales.
00:19I'm sorry that I can't be with you this evening. I am taking part on our latest challenge. We're rowing from Temby to Cardiff for the PCR final.
00:25I should be somewhere between Swansea and Porthcourt as we speak, but I think I'd probably much rather be with yourselves this evening than stuck in the middle of the ocean, but we'll see how I get on.
00:35Rugby has meant a huge amount to me and my family. I started in 2003 at work experience at the Welsh Rugby Union, worked my way through to Commercial Director and then went across the Six Nations as Commercial Director in that area.
00:47Since my diagnosis in September 22, Rugby has done so much for me. There are so many people, a lot in that room there tonight, that have wrapped their arms around me and my family and given us all the support and care that we need to get through what has been our most difficult times.
01:03I can't thank the game enough, but more importantly, I can't thank the people that are in it.
01:08Rugby truly has the most amazing people and I am testament to the game's values and to how when people within Rugby need help, you all come running.
01:17I thank you very much for everything that you've done. I will continue while I can to keep on driving and helping other cancer patients and your support means a huge amount to us.
01:26Thank you so much. Have a great evening.
