00:00Hi everyone, this is Z Rollup Day, and I have Chi with me from the Quark Chain, and they're
00:09building a fantastic super world computer using a Web3 rollup on top of zero knowledge proof.
00:16So Chi, why don't you talk about what you're building?
00:18Yeah, sure. So we are building a super world computer. We're reaching the future of Ethereum
00:25with it's going to be a roadmap, that's a rollup century roadmap to scale Ethereum. However,
00:30even though the transaction cost is gradually reduced to subsets these days, however, there
00:37are still a lot of missing pieces that we have to finish in the future of Web3. For example,
00:43the storage capacity of Net 2 is still limited by its single node capacity, which is about
00:49a couple of terabytes or tens of terabytes. And so we are working with Ether storage, actually
00:54also a founder of Ether storage. So we are able to scale this storage in 100x that is talking
01:01for terabytes. With that, we are able to support a lot of new Web3 applications. Imagine we are
01:09able to develop Web3 version fully decentralized Twitter right now, which generates about 12 terabytes
01:16of data per day. With our solutions, now we are able to have all this data that is able to store
01:24a popular store on top of our super world computer. Wow, wonderful. That is fantastic indeed. And
01:31you know, you're building it on top of a rollup, zero knowledge based rollup. So what is the inspiration
01:35about using zero knowledge? Yeah, so zero knowledge is a really advanced technology and popular these days
01:41is to be able to be able to verify off-chain data, off-chain computation and with on-chain verification.
01:50However, so we found a couple of issues with ZKs. And so what's the first thing is like proving the ZK
01:58prover is super expensive. And second thing is that proving the ZK, especially ZK EVM is very unfriendly for the future.
02:09Ethereum upgrade, that's called EIPs. Ethereum performance proposals, because we need to re-implement
02:14all the circuits. We have to re-audit the code. So one direction that we are pushing forward is to
02:21combine power of ZK together with the block proof. So for example, we're working on for the ZKVM,
02:29so that now we are able to verify long code that is compiled into the Watson, collaborate with the
02:35definition step. And then we're also working with the multi-session for our crew, so that we are able
02:41to publish not just a single result, but multiple intermediate results using DAs, so that we can
02:47enjoy almost free DA block costs while able to improve the DA ZK prover bandwidth to 100, 1000 times.
02:57So there are a lot of innovations, exciting innovations that are happening in the future.
03:03No, I think this is going to be a fantastic innovation in the ZK space, specifically when
03:07the ZK world is emerging to its full essence. And I think, you know, we can see a lot coming out
03:15from Quackchain in the near future. So thank you for being at the roll up there, and thank you for this
03:20quick chat. Yeah, thank you for the questions.
