Bhim Army protests in Gwalior over BR Ambedkar Statue, submits memorandum peacefully

Gwalior (MP) May 22, 2025 (ANI): Bhim Army in Gwalior protested over the BR Ambedkar statue issue, seeking permission to submit a memorandum at the Collectorate. The police denied permission but later allowed their state and district presidents to submit the memorandum to the SDM. The protest ended peacefully after barricades were set up, and the situation returned to normal with police deployed as a precaution.ASP Gwalior Niranjan Sharma says, "Bhim Army carried out a protest regarding the statue of BR Ambedkar. They sought permission to submit a memorandum at the Collectorate. Police administration did not give any permission regarding this. After their meeting and protest ended, they started proceeding towards the Collectorate and were stopped by the police by setting up barricades. Their state and district presidents handed over their memorandum to the SDM and peacefully went back. Police was deployed in the city as a precautionary measure... The situation is normal."
