“Mamata Banerjee, a complete failure” Union Min Sukanta Majumdar rakes up attack over gang rape case

Kolkata, June 29, 2025 (ANI): After being released from the Lalbazar Police Headquarters, Union Minister and West Bengal BJP President Sukanta Majumdar along with Union Education Minister Dharmendra pradhan attended the Distribution of footballs under Football for Schools programme on June 29. While talking to media on Kolkata alleged gang rape case, he said, "The law and order are in a grave situation. Mamata Banerjee is a complete failure and totally out of control. If Mamata Banerjee remains in her post, such situations will continue to recur against the women of West Bengal.”On further protest against the same, he said “... There will be a 'Mashal Juloos' tonight. Our workers will come out with torchlight and hold a protest… We will not spare this government… The government has turned a blind eye to this issue. We will go to jail as many times as needed for this. The fight will continue," he says on being released from Lalbazar Police Headquarters, where the police kept him after he was detained for protesting against the aforementioned incident.
