00:00It had been months before Suzanne or her family and the other members of the group who were
00:07admitted after the incident at the Warwick, it had been months before they had heard from
00:11anyone, including Fijian authorities, about what was the cause of their illness.
00:15But in early March, Prime Minister Sitiveni Rumbuka spoke to the ABC and in the interview
00:21said that he wanted to get to the bottom of what happened during that suspected poisoning
00:27incident and it was that interview that prompted Suzanne to reach out to the ABC.
00:32It has been very difficult over the last two to three weeks to get Fijian authorities to
00:36talk to us about some of the allegations that Suzanne had made.
00:40And the most important of these allegations was, in fact, supported by evidence cited by
00:45the ABC that, in actual fact, independent testing of both Suzanne's blood and urine samples as
00:53well as samples taken from the resort had not been sent to New Zealand scientific research
01:00institutions as had been said by Fijian authorities.
01:03Well, what we understand now from having spoken to the Prime Minister is that he will instigate
01:08a government agency and he would like all of the government departments to be sharing information
01:13with each other and to the public and the press about what actually happened immediately after
01:18that incident and about what the results of independent as well as local police investigations have
01:25turned out.
01:26And we will keep you updated as to the progress of those investigations.
