Chris Brown has confirmed his Breezy Bowl tour is back on track after being released on bail from a London court. The 36-year-old R&B star was seen leaving Forest Bank Prison in a Mercedes minivan alongside his girlfriend, following charges related to an alleged unprovoked assault in 2023. Brown had previously been denied bail and was being held until his original court date, set for June 13, just five days after his tour was due to start.

The alleged assault, which took place at London’s TAPE nightclub, led to Brown being charged with "grievous bodily harm" by Manchester police in May 2025. Despite criticism online, the singer posted “From the cage to the stage!!! Breezybowl” on Instagram, signaling his intent to move forward with the tour. The alleged victim, music producer Abe Diaw, claims Brown struck him with a tequila bottle and continued the attack while he was unconscious. Diaw filed a $16 million lawsuit in October 2023, which remains ongoing after a judge denied Brown’s attempt to dismiss parts of the case.

Public reaction has been split, some fans are celebrating his return to the stage, while others question the support for a figure with such a controversial history. With another court date scheduled for June 20, Brown’s legal troubles are far from over, even as the show goes on.
