00:00In a world where the it-thing is always changing, sometimes you need a tour guide or two to help you find your way to Pop Culture's Paradise.
00:07If you find yourself reminiscing or in need of a good recommendation, these two have you covered.
00:12And now, here's your hosts, Joey and Jeff!
00:20Welcome to Pop Culture Paradise, my name is Jeff.
00:23And I'm Joe, and today we are talking about Spring Break.
00:27Specifically, MTV Spring Break.
00:30Jeff, can you give the audience a little taste of what an MTV Spring Break was like?
00:35MTV Spring Break was where accidents went to happen.
00:40Well, since we're gonna find out a lot of these people that we're seeing in these clips went from hotties to hot moms,
00:47you just called some kid that they probably had on this trip an accident.
00:52Well, unfortunately, that's probably what they were.
00:55But MTV Spring Break, it made Spring Break seem way cooler than it actually was.
01:02It's all your favorite artists, all your favorite DJs, all your favorite personalities,
01:07all in under one place with just mass amounts of alcohol involved.
01:13Yeah, I think that description can tell you exactly what you can expect in today's episode.
01:19And the thing is, I was totally envious at the time.
01:21Because first of all, you want to know, how does this happen?
01:25How do I get there? I'm way too young, but I want to be there.
01:27I'm jealous of everything that's going on.
01:30But everyone I know is like, I wouldn't have the money to A, get down there.
01:35B, wouldn't be allowed to be down there.
01:38And C, my Spring Break is just gonna consist of me being home from school for like nine days and bored and cold.
01:47You'll be home for those nine days.
01:49You'll be cold and you'll be watching where you want to be.
01:53Boy, these people in these clips, I'm watching it.
01:55And I'm like, all right, they get to see on the same day.
01:59They get to go see NSYNC, 98 Degrees, Eminem and the band Lit.
02:06That's crazy. What a lineup, right?
02:09And then there's other ones and you just see it there and these people are raging.
02:14There's mosh pits breaking out.
02:15But then at other times it's like a bikini fashion show and then you get a talk show.
02:21So wait, what talk show would randomly go on the air during Spring Break?
02:26There was a bunch of them. We're going to see one where Jon Stewart, before he was on The Daily Show, hosts like a dating game.
02:34There was another one where Ed Lover, who was famous on MTV,
02:39hosted like a bikini walk-off kind of thing going on for both dudes and girls.
02:46And then your boy, Pauly Shore, shows up to host his show.
02:51What was his show called? Just The Pauly Shore Show?
02:54Totally Pauly. That's perfect.
02:57I'm excited to dive into these clips and just get a...
03:00I want to call it a blast from the past, but I wasn't there.
03:03But I remember seeing this on TV.
03:06It's like looking at somebody else's Facebook or TikTok posts and being like,
03:11well, I kind of feel like I was at that party, but I really wasn't.
03:15But I have all the memories because you recorded it.
03:18Right. I just want somebody to...
03:22One of the people that were there to come across this and be like,
03:25gosh, what was I wearing? What was I doing? I couldn't afford that trip.
03:30And you know what, Tommy? That's where I met your father.
03:35So if you guys weren't there, and I'm going to assume most of you weren't like us,
03:40this is what an MTV Spring Break party was like.
03:43You guys ready to party?
03:45Oh, dude.
03:49What? Slim Shady.
03:54About five bank accounts, three houses and two vehicles.
04:00Dude, this is so cool.
04:03And that atmosphere.
04:05Yeah, I would be losing my mind right now.
04:13Say 98.
04:17See, it was a very diverse kind of crowd going on here.
04:20Yo, Jay-Z, what?
04:22It looks like there's like a fashion show, bikini fashion show going on.
04:25There was a bikini fashion show going on at these things.
04:28So what would happen is you'll see models come out
04:32and demonstrate new clothes that you could buy.
04:37Aw, dude, I remember this track.
04:41JT, back up, bro.
04:44A little bit too close, dawg. Come on.
04:47But if he backed up, she'd back up even further.
04:50You ain't kidding. I thought that was Mario Lopez for a minute.
04:54I honestly did think that was Mario Lopez myself.
04:58Jeez, letting it all hang out.
05:01Not even good dancing either.
05:04Yo, so what I found out, too, is that those people would be at a taping for five to six hours.
05:10Holy cow.
05:17So this went on late into the 2000s.
05:20Dude, that's Paramore.
05:23Oh, yes.
05:25My favorite thing that I found out was how intense some of these people were in their routines.
05:30How do these frat bros all know the same dance?
05:37Oh, my God. Who is this?
05:40Oh, that's Limp Bizkit. Is that Limp Bizkit for real?
05:43That was Kid Rock.
05:45Dude, that would have been so sick.
05:48This is the America that we used to have, people.
05:52Aw, dude.
05:55See, the thing that I'm realizing most about this is you have great hip-hop, you have great pop music, and you have great rock.
06:03There's, like, literally there wasn't a band there that wasn't good.
06:07No, that is really the thing that people nowadays, it's like there's, I don't know if there's that blend or,
06:15and this feels of its time also, where, like, if you watch the Grammys now or some of these bigger shows,
06:21it's like they try to get everybody accounted for.
06:25And it's like, all right, sometimes if I'm tuning in, it's too young.
06:28Sometimes it's too old.
06:30And then sometimes it's just the same old artists.
06:32Here, it's just like, these are your guys.
06:34These are all your guys. Nobody's intruding on this.
06:37Right, and what's cool about this, it's like, I mean, working in radio, every show I do, the, you know, seven most, like, requested songs.
06:48And that's exactly what this concert is.
06:50It's the music that the audience calls in and asks for the most.
06:55And it's like, look, we're going to give them all to you on one stage.
06:59Grab your bikini, grab your sunblock, and let's go.
07:02I feel like they have more of a problem with grab your bikini, grab your shorts.
07:05In some of these, you'll see some man thongs going on.
07:09No!
07:10Could you imagine that now, though?
07:12Because you'd think, all right, you get the modern day equivalent.
07:15So Dua Lipa, which I think she'd fit right in with this type of atmosphere.
07:19She would fit in, Ava Max would fit in, absolutely.
07:22But then, I don't know, would you get Post Malone out there in his beach attire?
07:27He'd have something weird.
07:29Oh, he would be rocking a Dallas Cowboy Speedo, or like a Pikachu Speedo.
07:34So the next thing we look at here is, you know, these people, like you said earlier, the frat bros.
07:40They learned a routine, and it looked cool at the time, and they probably bragged about it.
07:45But could you imagine their kid, 20 years later, looking at this footage?
07:49And you know that whenever they get back together for whatever event it might be,
07:54they're like, bro, do you want to do the thing?
07:57Yeah, let's do it. Let's do the thing.
07:59Somebody sneaks over to the jukebox, and you just hear,
08:01No diggity.
08:03Back it up, and one guy just starts going over there.
08:06Yeah, and you hear, oh, this is our song!
08:11Yo, Mason Puffy, what?
08:16It's intense, but it's light at the same time.
08:20Oh, it's great, dude.
08:23Everyone has faceless expressions.
08:25Yeah, I love how the camera will show people that are like, I'm not going to be on camera.
08:30I'll just kind of pretend that I'm, you know, vibing.
08:34Look how ripped everybody is.
08:36Oh, dude, you know that if anybody tried to get in that didn't have like double Ds or a six-pack,
08:42they were turned away.
08:44Is that Young AJ Styles?
08:46It might be.
08:47So what would also happen in MTV was just unlimited dance parties.
08:53Dude, if you're not dancing, you're not having a good time. I'm with it.
09:00Now, I talked to you recently, and I said, what you should do is bring this back for Twitch.
09:06Dude, that would be crazy.
09:08Of course, I'd have to have all these clips sent over to me,
09:11because you can't have crowds like that nowadays.
09:14No, this is...
09:16Is that Pauly?
09:19And he's dancing next to some sort of dominatrix, I think.
09:22Dude, he was tearing it up.
09:24This was his moment, and he wasn't going to let it pass.
09:29My favorite thing also about all this stuff is I feel like everybody was very musically diverse.
09:35Like, all right, maybe they went there for the hip-hop songs,
09:39but fine, I'm here to dance, Eurodance, whatever, pop, I don't care.
09:43Rock, I'm down to go for it.
09:45You know what's crazy is all this music was out when we were really, really young,
09:50but as I've gotten older, I've grown to absolutely love 90s dance music.
09:56It's just, there's just an energy about it, and just great vocals,
10:01and that four-to-the-floor beat, you cannot beat that.
10:05Gwen Stefani, ladies and gentlemen.
10:08That'd be Gwen Stefani.
10:13Yo, this is her moment. She's going to seize it and hold it.
10:19You know what's funny about this also is sometimes it doesn't even look like everybody's dancing to the same song.
10:24Besides them all doing the same choreographed that they had planned for six months.
10:28Hey, guys, look, spring break, we're going to have all these dances down.
10:31We'll definitely get on TV.
10:33She just missed her volleyball toss.
10:35All right, this guy's doing straight-up athletic maneuvers.
10:37Is that the guy from Tekken?
10:40It's nice of Eddie Gordo to show up, yo.
10:46All right, who's the guy with the ball?
10:50Vin Diesel?
10:51Oh, yeah, dude. Definitely big Vin Diesel vibes right there.
10:55Look at this party, though. Look at the pool.
10:58Where's the DJ? That's what I want to know.
11:01And is he on the mic telling people just to lose their mind?
11:04All right, who let those guys in?
11:08All right, one of these things is not like the other. They do not fit in.
11:13Oh, my God.
11:14They knew somebody to be allowed in.
11:16That was amazing.
11:17No, stop that. Is that Zack the Black Ranger?
11:21This video has all the cameos.
11:23See, they're not all dancing to the same music.
11:26What is going on?
11:27No, they are really not.
11:28He's about to summon a fireball to shoot at somebody.
11:35You also have to love back then.
11:37All these songs had like 12-minute remixes.
11:40Oh, yeah, just like the intro and outros.
11:42They were all like 32 bars, 64 bars.
11:46Like you could literally take your sweet time mixing these tracks.
11:56Dude, I want to be there.
11:58I know we're supposed to riff and kind of poke fun, but this looks amazing.
12:02But then these three made it easier to riff again.
12:09Oh, my God.
12:10I love some of these people.
12:13Who's this guy with a straw hat?
12:17Yeah, Eddie Gordo here.
12:20You know what I like about that the most, though?
12:22Is everybody is there without a single care in the entire world.
12:26Literally like there's no bills to pay tomorrow.
12:30There's nowhere you have to be.
12:32Nobody you have to worry about.
12:34It's just let's have the time of our lives.
12:37What's cool about that time period is it seems like people lived every day like it was their last day.
12:43Like every day was their birthday.
12:45So our next clip is when your mom and aunt nowadays kids say that they used to be fun and they used to be with it.
12:53Oh, they were cool.
12:54And then there was that one time when your aunt Cheryl dared me to go on stage.
12:59Yeah.
13:00And I was like, I'll only do it if you come with me.
13:02And then there we were.
13:04We were both on MTV.
13:06Joey Fatone was so sweet in person.
13:11And then you have then you have this lingering thought.
13:13What else did she do with NSYNC?
13:16This is also your mom's friend.
13:18She's like, yeah, I was at the event, too.
13:20And I was really cool.
13:21But then you look at you like, well, she tried to be gangsta and just failed really hard at it.
13:26But we can file under mom.
13:29What were you up to back then?
13:31And your mom's like, you kids, you kids don't get it with your fortnight and your tablets.
13:35I really lived it.
13:38I was on a two piece.
13:39I was in a two piece strutting my stuff on that runway.
13:44I can't even remember what the band was, but they were great.
13:46And then you go a little further and you say, wait, was I a spring break baby?
13:51And you want to look at how your parents met.
13:54Well, I'm a junior at Babson College where I'm an accounting major.
13:57I like to drink tequila and party with the sisters of Kappa Kappa Gamma.
14:02Hello, Melissa.
14:04Hey, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Kappa Kappa Gamma.
14:08Typical coed behavior.
14:09There you go.
14:10Typical coed.
14:11All right.
14:12That was back when Jon Stewart would just insult your mom.
14:15Yeah, it was kind of like he was just kind of a jerk there.
14:18She's like, I'm just I'm just answering what you asked me.
14:22Typical coed.
14:24MTV's Blind Date, the show where MTV plays.
14:26Blind Date, I totally remember that show.
14:28We're setting up a lucky man on a blind date that just might change his life.
14:32I'm Jon Stewart.
14:33And with me, the irrepressible Melissa Rivers.
14:35Melissa Rivers.
14:36I don't remember her exactly.
14:38That's Joan Rivers' daughter.
14:39What do I know her from?
14:41She used to host all those different shows on E! with her mom.
14:44Right.
14:45OK.
14:46So she was like one of the fashion commentators, but she was also a comedian.
14:49I didn't know that.
14:50And I got to say, this is Jon Stewart's finest work.
14:53I don't care what this other stuff like The Daily Show.
14:56Him being on MTV is where I like him.
14:59From there, you got to see, well, what would attract you to this nice college girl?
15:05Would you be attracted to somebody whose greatest talent is being able to balance a tray on their head?
15:11All right.
15:12Let's take a look.
15:13It's on.
15:14Ladies and gentlemen, it's on.
15:15There's no Velcro.
15:16There's a wind factor.
15:17There's a big wind factor.
15:19Oh, the wind is going to be a nightmare, dude.
15:21Very nice.
15:22She's got it.
15:23Very nice.
15:24She's got it.
15:25And then there was that time your mother carried a tray on her head on national television.
15:29It's on YouTube.
15:30Look.
15:31Thank you so much.
15:32And at that moment, I realized she was the one.
15:34And then she drops down and still doesn't drop.
15:37Dude, that's a talent.
15:38That's talent right there.
15:39I don't care.
15:40So exactly how many dating shows were going on at the time in between the concerts?
15:45I think like half the program seemed to be dating shows.
15:48Even Pauly Shore had a dating show going on.
15:51What does he know about relationships?
15:54What is that for a grand prize?
15:56Congratulations.
15:57You get to date the weasel.
15:59Or he's going to just go with some random girl to her rural town and try to win her over.
16:06It's better than being a bum and trying to keep free rent at a hotel while you're on the jury.
16:12Or joining the army.
16:14Bachelorette number three.
16:17Sunday, I will sit on the throne of England.
16:20As my queen, what would you want to sit on?
16:23Oh my God, stop it.
16:26That's RuPaul.
16:28That is RuPaul.
16:30All right.
16:31But while you think Pauly Shore is the only one having all the women flock to him,
16:36are you prepared to meet the ultimate Chad?
16:39Oh yeah, I'm ready for it.
16:41This is who all the moms fell for back then.
16:48So we have ultimate Chad.
16:49Are you prepared to see who was rejected?
16:53Rejected? What do you mean?
16:55I mean, they went down with their beach bodies,
16:57but just don't come across with the same sex appeal as that last guy.
17:02They got turned away?
17:04I don't know.
17:05Watch these clips.
17:06Tell me if you'd recommend any of these guys for the ladies.
17:10From Warrington, Pennsylvania.
17:12He's in purple.
17:14Oh gosh.
17:16This week on 90 Day Fiancé.
17:19He doesn't treat women like sex objects.
17:22Oh, he doesn't? Because he totally looks like he does.
17:28Come on back here, boy.
17:29Is that Ed Lover?
17:31It is Ed Lover.
17:32Yeah, that's awesome.
17:34And then there's this guy who tried but failed.
17:37Look, he's just giving it his all, okay?
17:39This is his chance.
17:41Billy, yeah, dude, get out of here.
17:43Who are you?
17:44And then we have the pride of Texas.
17:46Oh my God.
17:47Don't mess with Texas and don't mess with these tights.
17:50One, two, three.
17:52Oh my goodness.
17:54Oh God, no.
17:56She loves it.
17:58He's humping the stage.
17:59I repeat, he's humping the stage.
18:02That's when you need to get a crew with the mop out there.
18:04You don't want to have any residue that that guy left over.
18:07Ladies and gentlemen, Alex Wright.
18:10Alex Wright if he was Ralph Macchio.
18:14Come on, dude.
18:15All right, you got on the muscle tank, but you got the jeans on.
18:18Like you're in Miami and it's the springtime.
18:22Like, come on.
18:23The overalls in the background are incredible.
18:26Is this Pauly Shore in drag?
18:27Because if it is, I'm out.
18:31Get out of here.
18:33Get out of here.
18:37Dude, if I could go back in time and be him during that era, I totally would.
18:43Pauly Shore is who you're destined to be.
18:45Dude, he was just on top of the world.
18:50So can you tell us a little about Pauly Shore to the people who are unfamiliar with him,
18:54considering that his drop-off happened about 20 years ago.
18:59And now at this point, he's in that solid C, D-list category.
19:02So you'll still see him if you look for him.
19:04But if you didn't know who he was, then he wouldn't be that special.
19:07No, Pauly Shore, I definitely was introduced to him on MTV for sure.
19:13And then it was his movies, right?
19:17And to me personally, and I think to you, he had a bunch of cool movies.
19:21And then all of a sudden, I think Pauly Shore was a comedian.
19:26He was an actor.
19:27He was a TV host.
19:28He was literally like an MTV pop culture 90s icon.
19:32Like that's how big Pauly Shore was.
19:34But I think you can only play to that high school and college demographic for so long
19:40before things start to kind of dwindle away.
19:43And I think that's probably what happened here.
19:46But dude, honestly, I would trade in a long career,
19:51a long mediocre career for the skyrocket career that he had throughout those several years.
19:59And this is the type of stimulating conversation you'd get when you watched Chilling with the Weez.
20:05Fabulous. What are you? You're transsexual?
20:08I am a drag queen. Can I get an amen in here?
20:12Amen.
20:13A lot of the guys are going, no, but I'd like to check, please.
20:16No, that's great.
20:17Oh, come on, Pauly.
20:18I look up to you a lot.
20:19You know, I do a chick once in a while on my show, but you've gone the distance, man.
20:23Don't you think she just went a little too far?
20:25But she doesn't, he doesn't care, right?
20:27I don't care. It's all about fun.
20:29Pauly's trying to get canceled and I'm canceled at the same time.
20:32RuPaul wouldn't care, but it's just people would nowadays would find it.
20:37They wouldn't have to look hard, obviously, but they would just find something to be so angry at.
20:41He's like, no, we're going back in time and we're canceling Pauly Shore.
20:45And he'd be like, bro, I was canceled years ago.
20:50Be like, canceled? When did I get resurrected?
20:52Right?
20:53They'd have to like make him a new career to then just end it again.
20:56So, you know, the old Chris Rock routine about how, you know, you failed as a parent.
21:02I think so.
21:03Oh, yeah.
21:04You have one job as a father to a daughter.
21:07Keep her off the pole.
21:10So would you call this a father's worst nightmare?
21:13All right. I guess I'll let you go down to spring break.
21:15And then he tunes in and sees his daughter dancing to this.
21:25Dude, this song is an absolute banger.
21:31There's my daughter dancing to Big Pimpin'.
21:33Well, you got to look at the positives.
21:35She was on stage with Jay-Z, one of the biggest rappers in the history of music.
21:39So that's kind of cool.
21:40Hello there.
21:42Miss America coming out here.
21:44Yeah, no.
21:45But I think I also loved it about all this stuff.
21:47Doesn't this feel like soft core looking back at it now?
21:50And this was airing at like 3 in the afternoon on a Saturday.
21:53I mean, for 3 o'clock in the afternoon on a Saturday.
21:56Yeah.
21:58But that was the time, man.
21:59Like things were so much more acceptable.
22:02People weren't mad about anything and everything.
22:05It's like that's I think that's why you, I know for sure.
22:09And myself as well.
22:10We look back on this decade as literally like the last great decade there's been.
22:15And we were only like little kids during it.
22:18But it's just things have just progressively gotten worse.
22:21It's like, why is it not okay?
22:24Everyone's having so much fun here.
22:26And like you see everything that they want.
22:29But at the same time, you're like, all right.
22:31Now it's so stiff and not fun.
22:33And MTV instead of, I don't know.
22:36They do like 5 hours of just random shows all taking place every day there.
22:40And they're not even random shows.
22:42It's either ridiculousness around the clock, which you can only watch so much of that.
22:46Or it's 16 and pregnant.
22:48But look back at this kind of like special feature stuff.
22:51Specifically made for spring break.
22:53Everybody there was having fun.
22:54They were having the time of their lives.
22:56They were so excited to be on TV.
22:58And they got to see all of their favorite comedians, artists, personalities, DJs.
23:03All in one place.
23:04Like, dude, if I could hop in the DeLorean and go back, I would totally do this.
23:10Well, the thing too is like when you're watching this.
23:13And why I have these memories.
23:14And why we're doing today's show is you remember.
23:17You feel like part of the crowd who's just watching this.
23:20Like it feels like your memory too.
23:21Like you're there.
23:22Yeah, as opposed to tuning into Ridiculous.
23:24And I'm just watching a show on a channel.
23:26This is why people cared about MTV.
23:29Is that this just felt like the big party that maybe I can't go to.
23:34Right.
23:35But I've been invited to.
23:36And maybe especially now in today's quarantine age.
23:40Where you have to live stream and check in from distance.
23:43It's almost like that.
23:44Like I'm just zooming in to see what's going on.
23:47Right.
23:48I get you.
23:49So this is, you know, part of that soft core that was going on back then.
23:53And then we got mall girls.
23:55Dude, I would have loved to host something like this.
23:59We like it.
24:02We love it.
24:04Zoom, zoom, zoom.
24:07Dude, this would have been so much fun to host.
24:11We got this girl in the middle of her Madonna phase in life.
24:14Oh, she is.
24:16No, look, she like signed up for this.
24:18This was her chance to show her ex what he's missing.
24:21Who's at home watching on TV.
24:23Except this is still going on in the year 2020.
24:27And she's on her third divorce.
24:29At this point, she's still listening to these songs.
24:32But it's in the club downtown specifically meant to only play these songs.
24:36I don't blame her.
24:37Up next, the co-ed bikini blowout.
24:39I can only imagine.
24:41That is the type of show we were watching.
24:43The co-ed bikini blowout.
24:45So in this little montage I put together,
24:47this is why I call it the party of the flesh.
24:51All right.
24:54Ladies and gentlemen, Yaga.
24:57Yaga.
24:58He'll drive you gaga.
25:02Dude.
25:05Great freaking music.
25:08Right?
25:09Holy bronze.
25:12He looks like a Ken doll with a lot of self-tanner.
25:19So Kid Rock brought his strippers with him.
25:21You know he did.
25:24Jeez.
25:27I think I'm in love with this girl.
25:31This is great, man.
25:34So could you just imagine like you get nice music.
25:37Is that LL Cool J, bro?
25:40That was more Dr. Dre.
25:42And then Carmen Electra shows up just to make this a super party.
25:48Yo, the lead singer of Lit has my all-time envy right now.
25:52Dude, that lucky son of a...
25:54You know what?
25:56He doesn't have to be his own worst enemy.
25:58I'll be his enemy.
25:59Carmen Electra, she was the one back then.
26:02And these shows were really just selling the fact that this is what you were tuning in for.
26:07Stay tuned for more Booty and the Bees.
26:11Booty and the Bees.
26:13I would have said that.
26:14Oh, gosh.
26:16Don't get Clark from accounting off the stage.
26:18He's there representing the company.
26:22Yeah, that's their accounting rap.
26:25I told him not to mix beer and liquor.
26:28You know, he's normal all week.
26:31And then we get a little booze at him.
26:33And he's up on stage.
26:35And he thinks he's Mark Wahlberg.
26:36And he told him not to interact with the acts.
26:37Yeah.
26:39Keeps asking if they want to see his funky bunch, and nobody does.
26:42Now, we don't want to just objectify all these people.
26:45They were actually some brilliant people in this audience, as you can see.
26:49Yeah?
26:50Yeah.
26:51All right.
26:52Specially Loud Spring Break is back.
26:54And I am in the Sandpit with Andrea.
26:56Nikki Taylor.
26:57Andrea, what college do you go to?
26:58I go to Miami of Ohio.
26:59Okay.
27:00All right.
27:02Are you having a good time?
27:03Oh, amazing time.
27:05It's awesome here.
27:06I'm great.
27:07All right.
27:08Now, they're going to ask Nikki a question.
27:10Do you think Nikki provides a really deep answer?
27:14Judging by what you're saying, I'm going to go with, yeah.
27:18She delivers a good speech here.
27:20Which do you prefer?
27:21I mean, what's the best thing about Fashionably Loud?
27:24Probably the guys.
27:25Insane.
27:2698 degrees.
27:27You know all of it.
27:28All right.
27:29That's great.
27:30You know all of it.
27:31Yeah.
27:32Well, who the heck is this?
27:34Okay.
27:35Hold on.
27:36This looks like the cast of, is it Airheads?
27:40It does look like the cast of Airheads.
27:43Lone Rangers.
27:44Spin our song.
27:45How could you be Lone Rangers if there's only three of you?
27:49I got one tape of it.
27:50It's in my girlfriend's car.
27:52She's hucking it out.
27:53Dude, what a great movie.
27:55Lone Rangers is a better name than this, which I consider hate speech.
27:58Look at that name.
27:59I hate it.
28:00Yeah.
28:01Kloss Elk what?
28:04Not the guy's name.
28:05The band's name.
28:06Ugly Kid Joe.
28:08There's a band named after you, bro?
28:10When did that happen?
28:11So hateful.
28:12So hateful.
28:13So, not only were the girls at this thing, maybe not the greatest thinkers.
28:18The bands might not have been either.
28:20What's going on?
28:21I want you people to get out of control when we hit the stage.
28:24They're out there already.
28:26Well, do you have any songs that we know?
28:28You guys are from a beautiful beach town, Santa Barbara.
28:29What do you think of Daytona?
28:30Um, it's all right.
28:33Gosh, dude, who invited them?
28:36You know what that was?
28:37That was, okay, we'll give you one of our major label acts.
28:41If you let one of our, you know, development acts come and perform too.
28:46That's exactly what that was.
28:48They did have a few hits.
28:50I think one of them was called I Hate Everything About You.
28:52It's not bad, but it is one of those things where if you look back,
28:56you're like iconic, iconic, iconic.
28:58Who the fuck is that guy?
28:59Well, I mean, when you go from Bye Bye Bye to Big Pimpin to Ugly Kid Joe,
29:04it's like what?
29:06Well, so there was another montage online.
29:08It's like 10 minutes of the complete history of everybody who performed at this thing.
29:11And that's kind of what happens.
29:13You're just like, oh, that's a great one.
29:15That's a great one.
29:16Who the hell is that?
29:17Yeah.
29:18So, you know, some of these things get lost in time.
29:21Sometimes things get lost within like three months, as you know, in radio.
29:24Right.
29:25Where you're like, oh, that was supposed to be the big name, right?
29:28Didn't we play their song a few times?
29:30And it's gone.
29:31You know what's fun?
29:33What we'll do at work is inside our music director's office,
29:38he has this special wall where you can write on it with chalk.
29:41Right.
29:42And like him and my boss and like other people, they'll predict.
29:47All right.
29:48This song is going to be top 30, 20, 10, top two.
29:51And they'll like place like bets.
29:54Like, hey, if I'm right, you have to buy lunch and this, this or that.
29:58And anytime there's a track from Dua or Ava Max or any of them,
30:04I'm like, yep, top 10.
30:06Let's go.
30:07You're just taking that cheap money.
30:09Yep.
30:10You're not making any long term like, all right,
30:12I know this guy is going to break through,
30:14even though he's never had a hit before.
30:16I want to take the big money.
30:17So our next clip proves that MTV kind of knew who its target audience was.
30:21This is one of the ads that aired during these programming blocks.
30:25Buddy seems so listless, doctor.
30:28Have you tried MTV?
30:30MTV?
30:31Isn't that for deviants?
30:32Not at all, Mrs. Nelson.
30:33MTV?
30:34For deviants?
30:35Yes.
30:36Absolutely.
30:37I love how, I love, yeah,
30:38I love how they're playing commercials for themselves.
30:40It's great.
30:41So yeah, MTV was airing their own ads.
30:43This is what would happen.
30:44It's the perfect source for added pep.
30:46Mix it with his chocolate milk and he won't even notice the taste.
30:51Oh my goodness.
30:52Let's try some MTV.
30:55This is like some creepy leave it to beaver stuff.
30:59Oh, yeah, he is.
31:01Oh, get out of here, doc.
31:04Damn, doc.
31:06Not only just for deviants.
31:09I think they also didn't have no idea who their target audience was
31:13because then this ad aired and I'm like, all right,
31:16nobody bumping the jams that I'm hearing was also buying this CD.
31:21Hey, Debbie, did I hear my favorite songs of all time coming from your apartment?
31:24Good ears, Dan.
31:25I just got easy 70s.
31:27Perfect collection.
31:28Great taste, girl.
31:30Great taste.
31:31Summer breeze after the loving.
31:34That's for the grown folk that are still watching the MTV spring breakout
31:41just to feel young.
31:42That's Taylor Swift's mom.
31:44Did I hear my favorite song of all time coming from your apartment?
31:46Taylor Swift and like the preppiest guy of all time.
31:49The perfect collection of mellow classics from the 70s Preservation Society.
31:52He looks like Eric's friend there from One Meets World.
31:57He does look like Jason Marsden.
31:59Yeah.
32:00Great taste.
32:02Great taste.
32:03He's like normally when you pick out CDs, they suck.
32:06But today, you know what?
32:07I thought this was off the jump.
32:09I thought this was an ad for like Columbia House where you would pay a penny
32:15and you would get, you know, 12 CDs sent to your door.
32:19Dude, he's laying it down.
32:21Olivia Newton-John.
32:22Nice.
32:24Yeah, this is what the MTV audience wanted.
32:29But you know what's funny now?
32:31If this commercial were to air today,
32:33it'd be all the music that's currently playing at MTV spring breakout.
32:38It'd be Eminem, Lit, Limp Bizkit, Jay-Z.
32:44You know what I mean?
32:45Aqua.
32:47Oh, look at the cassette.
32:49Wait, did these air like throughout the whole day?
32:51They filmed a bunch of these.
32:53Oh, I cut them up.
32:56Easy 70s.
32:58You know what they would call it now?
33:00The naughty 90s.
33:02Yeah, well, look how naughty this guy was ready to get.
33:11Dude, he's moving in.
33:13He's trying.
33:14He's trying.
33:15And from there, Taylor Swift was created.
33:17That's her parents.
33:18That's canon.
33:19All the boy bands.
33:21All of them on one stage?
33:23Well, not the Backstreet Boys, but they would be there if, you know,
33:26they probably went somewhere else.
33:28Wait, were they not part of the show?
33:30Not part of this show.
33:32Dude, they're like, you know what that probably was?
33:38It's like, okay, which boy band are you going to go with?
33:41Because if they're going to be there, then we are not going to be there.
33:44And I think this was right in that middle,
33:46if I remember the documentary about Lou Pearlman correctly,
33:48where he was feuding and sinking Backstreet against each other.
33:51What a creep that dude was, right?
33:53Huge creep.
33:55But it's nice to see that Nick Lachey and Justin Timberlake were bros.
33:58So MTV wasn't just a boy band place.
34:00We had other acts.
34:06Ladies and gentlemen, the Lone Rangers.
34:11Dude, I don't know them.
34:17Yo, is that Salt-N-Pepa?
34:19What?
34:21Oh, let's go.
34:23Yo, this song is still a banger.
34:28I don't care.
34:29I mean, MTV knows their audience.
34:35This is literally the perfect song for spring break.
34:39Because there's going to be a lot of mistakes made.
34:42There's going to be a lot of trips to the free clinic.
34:44And if they're listening, Salt-N-Pepa is still going through the song,
34:47giving warnings, basically.
34:50No, they are. They're great.
34:52Salt-N-Pepa, they're doing a public service right here.
34:59No cheating. Stay with one person and wear a condom.
35:02Hit the post into the chorus.
35:05No, who is this?
35:07My boys.
35:09My boys?
35:11Is this Right Said Fred?
35:13Oh, see, you acted like you didn't know who it was.
35:16But you knew exactly whose tush that was.
35:19I had a feeling that was Fred's tush.
35:24On the catwalk, yeah.
35:28Yeah, let's get the tushies going, guys.
35:31Yeah.
35:33Oh, my God.
35:34Vin Diesel's cousins were lit.
35:36Dude.
35:37Not only were they lit, they had a huge posse.
35:41Yeah, you ain't kidding.
35:43So, when the weather goes bad, do you think people leave Spring Break?
35:47No, they raged. They partied.
35:50They go even harder.
35:55Electrocution? No big deal.
35:58And, you know, the rain is just making this even more of an emotional experience.
36:03Everyone's out in that crowd thinking about,
36:06this is what I want to be when I grow up,
36:08and these are the dreams that I want to achieve.
36:10And in this moment, right here and right now,
36:12with Bush on the stage,
36:14I'm going to talk all these things into existence.
36:17Yeah, you know that, like, when you're out having so much fun,
36:20and then at a certain point, you're like,
36:21damn, the fun's going to end today.
36:23We've only got 25 minutes.
36:25Sunday blues, man.
36:27It's just never going to get as fun as it was the last few hours.
36:31You have that deep, reflective moment.
36:33Yeah, you're like, what a great weekend.
36:35But I've got to travel back tomorrow,
36:38and then it's back to work on Tuesday.
36:41And I was just on stage, grinding away with Right Said Fred.
36:46And this guy's just,
36:49and you're just like,
36:51it's just like hitting you in your insides.
36:54You're like, I know what you mean.
36:56I speak that language.
36:58Hitting you in all the feels.
37:00So people there were raging so hard
37:03that their shoes became untied.
37:06Throw them out.
37:07You don't even need shoes.
37:08MC Snow, you are kidding me.
37:10This is dope.
37:20What are you saying?
37:21I don't care.
37:22I'm into it.
37:23So he's performing on Pauly Shore's show.
37:25Yes.
37:26Chilling with the Weez.
37:27He is chilling with the Weez.
37:30Walter Jones?
37:36Understand what?
37:39Things they're what?
37:42Ask her.
37:43She knows.
37:44She knew every lyric.
37:45Dude, if you don't know every lyric to the song,
37:48do you even like music?
37:50No, I don't think you do.
37:51I think if you hate boy bands,
37:52you're just trying to hide something wrong about yourself.
37:56If you're a male,
37:58you've wanted to be in a boy band
38:00at some part in your life.
38:02Yes.
38:03Dead serious.
38:05Now, I think Orange Cassidy of AEW
38:07may have stole this next woman's look.
38:10Yeah?
38:11Yeah, I mean, look at this pose.
38:16Hands in the pockets.
38:18Might have.
38:19And then that move was later borrowed
38:21for Streets of Rage 4
38:23by the guys that look like the Young Bucks,
38:25Matt and Nick Jackson.
38:26Now, one of my favorite things
38:27about going down one of these deep dives
38:29is I start finding out music and artists
38:32and things that happened back then
38:33that even I don't remember.
38:35Do you remember an artist called Gillette?
38:38Gillette, like the razor?
38:39No.
38:40No, not the best the man can get.
38:42Gillette.
38:44The Gillette Atroplus system
38:46with a rubri-smooth strip
38:48is the best a man can get.
38:50The best a man can get.
38:52This girl I would call
38:54a combination of
38:5690s Kesha
38:58meets Rodney Dangerfield.
39:01And this is her song called
39:02Mr. Personality,
39:04which I've described as
39:06the prototypical cheerleader type jam.
39:10So you're telling me this girl gets no respect?
39:12Well, she's giving you no respect.
39:14But listen to these jokes.
39:21Hey Mickey, you're so fine, you're so fine
39:23you blow my mind.
39:27You're so fine, you blow my mind.
39:29Hey Mickey, that's what that was.
39:31It really was very close to it.
39:33Right?
39:34Like, can you just imagine
39:35going to those cheerleader meets
39:36which you would probably have to do
39:37back in the day for your sister
39:39and just hearing this bump out
39:40of somebody's speaker.
39:44Dude, I kind of don't hate it.
39:46I kind of loved it.
39:47I like the moves.
39:49The choreography's dope.
39:51And here is the part
39:52where I described her as
39:54well, she's got Kesha's personality
39:56with Rodney Dangerfield's jokes
39:58which is what you want in a woman, right?
40:00Uh, that's the dream woman.
40:02Especially when she's dressed
40:03like John Candy's character
40:04in Summer Rental.
40:06That went over my head.
40:14Oh, come on.
40:15That's the disrespect.
40:17Boy, that's the story of my life.
40:19No respect.
40:20I don't get no respect.
40:21Yeah, she kind of really hates you
40:23because her other big hit song
40:24from the time was a song called
40:25Short Dick Man.
40:27And the whole song was...
40:28Dude, I totally remember that song.
40:29I used to play that at the strip club
40:31all the time.
40:32So that's Gillette.
40:34I didn't know that.
40:35You know, you kind of listen to it
40:36and you're like,
40:37wow, she really kind of hates me as a man.
40:39She's just belittling me.
40:41But I'm kind of into it?
40:43Yeah, I think she kind of just
40:44hates all men.
40:45But dude, I used to spin that track
40:47all the time.
40:50Oh, come on.
40:52The disrespect.
40:53He's got a family.
40:54No respect.
40:55No respect at all.
40:57No.
40:58So she kind of leaves me feeling
41:00like George Costanza.
41:02This woman hates me so much.
41:05I'm starting to like her.
41:07Yeah, yeah.
41:08What?
41:09She just dislikes me so much.
41:11That...
41:12It's irresistible.
41:14It is.
41:15You can't help it.
41:17It is.
41:18You can't help it.
41:19That is how I feel about Gillette.
41:21You know what I love?
41:22How she's wearing the headset
41:25with the microphone,
41:27you know, for the mouth,
41:28the little headset.
41:29I love that.
41:30Yeah, you have to give the artists
41:32who do that a lot of props.
41:33Like when people would bust on Britney
41:34back in the day or NSYNC,
41:36it's like you do realize
41:37they're also doing really tough
41:39choreography at the same time.
41:41Oh, yeah.
41:42So if they're sort of somewhat
41:43yelling or screaming,
41:44it's a live performance.
41:46They're out of breath.
41:48Yeah.
41:49Give them a break.
41:50You try like dancing in place
41:51and then singing any song.
41:53You know what happens a lot now
41:55is they will record
41:58like live performance edits
42:02of the song.
42:03So they'll go back into the studio
42:06with similar gear that they would use
42:08live on stage
42:10and they'll cut it that way
42:12to kind of assist them
42:14in how they sound.
42:15Cheap.
42:16Cheap.
42:17Whatever it takes to put on a good show,
42:19I don't care
42:20because I'm there for the lights
42:21and the lasers anyway.
42:22If they have that technology to cheat,
42:23then go back to this MTV.
42:25Stop being lazy.
42:27Right.
42:29Dude, look at that.
42:38What is he saying, Joe?
42:42He sounds like an auctioneer.
42:46Jeez.
42:48Dude, I love this track.
42:50As soon as we're done today,
42:51I'm bumping the hell out of this song.
42:55Yes, there he is.
42:56He's back.
42:57Hey, everybody.
42:58All right.
42:59Dude, how 90s is this shot right here?
43:02Rupali.
43:03You got Rupali?
43:04Rupali.
43:05Rupali.
43:06We're kind of like the
43:07sunniest chair of the 90s.
43:08Yeah.
43:09You look fierce.
43:10Your outfit is gorgeous.
43:11Give a big round of applause
43:12for the outfit.
43:13Yeah.
43:14It's like you're saying.
43:15He's out there.
43:16He's making jokes
43:18that could be interpreted
43:19as picking on Rupali.
43:20But then Rupali's like,
43:21who cares?
43:22This is funny.
43:23Yeah, Rupali.
43:25And he's just as much
43:26equally making fun of himself.
43:28Which is something.
43:29Which is a lot of the charm
43:31of Pauly Shore.
43:32Yeah, Pauly Shore never came off
43:34as the hippest guy in the room.
43:40Get off of me.
43:41Get off of me.
43:42Get off of me.
43:43I'm sick of Hawaiian Tropic girls.
43:44Get away.
43:45Give chase.
43:46Get away.
43:47Get away.
43:48I'm sick of Hawaiian Tropic girls.
43:53No, not Pauly.
43:54See, that's self-deprecating humor.
43:56That's great.
44:02Is that a lamp?
44:03Yeah, that's how the next sequel
44:04of Aladdin's going to start off.
44:06Dude, if we get a Pauly Shore
44:08version of Aladdin,
44:09I am in.
44:10Aladdin.
44:11Aladdin.
44:13Oh, yeah.
44:14To make money,
44:15they totally were selling
44:16stealth ads.
44:17So you could get cut
44:18to commercial,
44:19but you were getting commercials
44:20all through the entire
44:21programming block.
44:23Are you ready for the best
44:24of American Eagle fashion?
44:26No, I'm not ready.
44:27What's going to happen with Pauly?
44:29He died.
44:30I don't know.
44:31I didn't pull more of the clips.
44:32Oh, come on.
44:33I would have loved to see him
44:34like a genie come up
44:35and grant him a wish.
44:36You know what?
44:37He does.
44:38He gets, uh,
44:39he's wishing to no longer
44:40be famous
44:41so he doesn't get hounded
44:42while it's spring break.
44:44And then he gets his wish
44:45and realizes that wasn't
44:46what he wanted at all.
44:48Yeah, he certainly did.
44:50Yeah, he got his wish now.
44:51Where do you think this guy
44:52got his cool clothes?
44:54What expensive brand?
44:55I'm going to say,
44:56I'm going to say Kohl's.
45:02Utility by Target,
45:03of course.
45:05It's affordable for that bro.
45:08Oh, not this guy again.
45:10Why does his hat say,
45:11gotcha?
45:12I don't know who this is.
45:13Who is this?
45:14That is the lead singer
45:15of Primus,
45:16who is from,
45:17you know the South Park
45:18theme song?
45:19Yeah.
45:20Yeah, that's the guy
45:21who does the South Park
45:22theme song.
45:23And they had all their
45:24hits in the 90s.
45:25They were kind of a popular
45:26cult kind of act
45:27for their style.
45:28Wow, I didn't know that.
45:29But the reason I pulled it
45:30is I really like how they
45:31had a stealth Pringles
45:33advertisement going on
45:34during the show.
45:36Did you see that
45:37Pringles balloon?
45:38Yep, there it is.
45:39The blimp,
45:40the Pringles blimp
45:41in the background.
45:42Oh, Slim Shady,
45:43let's go.
45:44And this was probably
45:45one of my favorite transitions
45:47from fashion show
45:48to what the music
45:49actually is.
45:51So this guy is like,
45:52I don't know,
45:53he feels way out of place
45:54from what's going on.
46:00Yeah.
46:01Yeah, Zac Efron,
46:02ladies and gentlemen.
46:03It's like,
46:04well, what are you doing?
46:05I'm dancing to this song.
46:06It's pretty vulgar.
46:07Oh, yeah.
46:08What are you?
46:09What's it about?
46:10Well, I'm pretty sure
46:11in this next clip,
46:12he's singing about
46:13attempted murder.
46:14Right.
46:18I'll show you
46:19where the ocean is.
46:20And I appreciate the offer.
46:24I'm a set her off
46:25in the front seat
46:26to put sunglasses on
46:27and cruise around
46:28with over seven hours
46:29in California
46:30and have her waving at people.
46:31Such a good track.
46:32Such a good track, dude.
46:39Is that your trainer?
46:41Yup.
46:43He's like, J.R.,
46:44I saw you buying
46:45a frozen pizza
46:46and Dr. Pepper
46:47at the grocery store
46:48after the gym.
46:49What the hell are you doing?
46:52It wasn't for me.
46:53It was for Joe.
46:54Doesn't he live in Maine?
46:55Yeah, but he wanted me
46:56to do it for him.
46:58What do you have down here
46:59that he doesn't have up there?
47:02I'm lying.
47:04The ruse is over.
47:06I gotta go to work.
47:08Now, can you imagine
47:09having this dream job?
47:16Oh, yeah.
47:17And what was he filming?
47:18Well, more of that
47:19Pauly Shore RuPaul segment,
47:20of course.
47:21I dressed up
47:22when I was a young kid,
47:23I swear to God,
47:24as a girl,
47:25and my dad spanked me
47:26and I liked it.
47:27Oh, you liked the spank?
47:28Wait, what?
47:29Spank me, come on, baby.
47:30Oh, yeah, oh, yeah.
47:32Oh, my God.
47:33And you know that scene
47:34is exactly when
47:35your parents would walk
47:36into the room being like,
47:37what did you just watch?
47:39Oh, I'm watching the drag queen
47:40spank Pauly Shore.
47:43I can only imagine
47:44what your father would say
47:45if he walked into your room
47:47on a Saturday afternoon
47:49at 3.30 and we were
47:50watching that together.
47:55Cable's gone for the month.
47:57It's gone, yep.
47:59So in the true love story
48:00of how your parents
48:01want to create cringe
48:02before you were born,
48:03could you imagine
48:04this is the clip
48:05that you stumbled upon?
48:09Yeah, they're taking their time.
48:10What exactly is going on here?
48:14Are they giving this guy,
48:15this is a stage party.
48:16This is a lap dance.
48:22No, we're going for it.
48:31What a great, what a great song
48:32for that, for that bit.
48:34And I think they picked
48:35some of those girls out
48:36from this crowd of,
48:37well, mall girls.
48:46Dude, they're losing it.
48:47I would have been
48:48losing it right here.
48:50I would too.
48:51And you know what?
48:52The thing was,
48:53I think these bands
48:54were totally down
48:55to have a little fun.
48:56If you watch Paramore
48:57in this clip,
48:58somebody kicks the beach ball up.
48:59They kick it back out
49:00in the crowd.
49:02Just having a grand old time.
49:12Yes.
49:14Look how,
49:15what a great voice she has, dude.
49:16Even, even right there.
49:18And finally,
49:19JC Shazay of NSYNC
49:21throws a water bottle
49:22in the crowd.
49:23Why is this a clip I pulled?
49:25Because it reminds me
49:26of the time I went to
49:27the Bamboozle Roadshow.
49:28Can I tell you
49:29what happened there, Jeff?
49:30Please do.
49:32So we have all these
49:33side acts,
49:34smaller stage.
49:36And there's this band
49:37that's a little kid
49:39and his sister performing.
49:40And they're doing
49:41a couple of wheezers,
49:42I want you,
49:43I'm wondering if you want me,
49:44I want you too.
49:45Right.
49:46So in the middle of it,
49:47they go chucking
49:48a full water bottle
49:49out into the crowd.
49:50All right,
49:51so there you were
49:52enjoying yourself
49:53and you see a water bottle
49:54just flying at your face.
49:55Oh yeah,
49:56and you know me.
49:57I see everything
49:58kind of going around me.
49:59I'm like a nervous cat
50:00at these kind of places.
50:01I just expect
50:02something's going to go wrong.
50:03And this time,
50:04I'm totally right.
50:05This thing's flying
50:06right towards us
50:07and Alex isn't
50:08paying attention at all.
50:09So what do you think
50:10happens to that guy?
50:11So I think you pull
50:12one of the
50:13and dodge out of the way
50:14and he just takes it
50:15right to the face.
50:17Boom!
50:18Hits him right in the glasses.
50:20Rest of the day,
50:21I'm like,
50:22little kid bands
50:23hate you, bro.
50:25Because he's looking like,
50:26wow,
50:27this ruined my day
50:28a little bit.
50:29Did he have like
50:30a black eye or anything?
50:32No,
50:33but that would've been great.
50:35That would've made it
50:36even better, right?
50:37Yeah, that would've been
50:38just looking at the ride home
50:39and being like,
50:40how was the concert?
50:41Did you get beat up?
50:42No.
50:43Did you get into
50:44like a mosh pit?
50:45So that's what reminds me
50:46of this clip
50:47of NSYNC here.
50:48Hopefully, Alex,
50:49if you're watching,
50:50you don't get PTSD
50:51from this.
50:54Well, at least
50:55he's kind enough
50:56to have, you know,
50:57have the bottle
50:58of water open.
50:59It's just water
51:00hitting the crowd,
51:01not a full bottle.
51:02What did you do
51:03right there, huh?
51:04You don't know
51:05what Lance Bass
51:06did with that bottle
51:07after that shot?
51:08You know,
51:09we don't know.
51:10So that was MTV Spring Break.
51:11Did this hit you
51:12in the nostalgia?
51:13You know what?
51:14It kind of did.
51:15Not in the sense
51:16that I was there
51:17and I was able
51:18to relive it,
51:19but it just kind of
51:20takes you back
51:21to that time period
51:22where everything
51:23was simpler.
51:24It was more fun.
51:25You didn't have to worry
51:26about stuff as much.
51:27Not like adult stuff
51:28to worry about
51:29like bills and mortgages
51:30and all that,
51:31but you didn't have to worry
51:32about offending anybody.
51:33You just went there
51:34with your best friends
51:35and tried to have
51:36the best time possible,
51:37and I think that's one
51:38of the things
51:39that I miss most
51:40about the 90s.
51:41Maybe you should be
51:42the one to bring this back.
51:43Maybe they need to have
51:44an all-day Spring Break-a-thon,
51:46and you could host it on Twitch.
51:48You could get MTV involved,
51:49and you could get 5AXE.
51:51You being the music guy
51:52in radio.
51:53Who are the 5AXE
51:54that you're getting the kids
51:55to the new MTV Spring Break?
51:57All right.
51:58Right off the top of my head,
51:59I'm going to go
52:00number one, Dua Lipa.
52:02Number two,
52:03I'm going to go Ava Max.
52:04Number three,
52:05I'm going to go Post Malone.
52:06You cannot have
52:07a Spring Break concert
52:09or gala event
52:10without Post Malone.
52:11You can't even have
52:12a Pokemon event
52:13without Post Malone.
52:14No, and then I'm going
52:15to go with DaBaby,
52:17and then I think
52:18my last one, gosh,
52:20who is that going to be?
52:23I mean, Justin Bieber
52:24already kind of looks like
52:25a lot of those frat bros
52:26we saw earlier.
52:27Justin Bieber.
52:28Boom.
52:29That's my five.
52:31Think about that lineup, though.
52:32How crazy that is.
52:34Oh, you'd get all the kids
52:35at the beach
52:36looking forward to that event.
52:37But see,
52:38I would want to DJ
52:40before and in between the acts.
52:42That would be
52:43so freaking cool, man.
52:45That would be like,
52:46gosh, that'd be so dope.
52:48And would you be prepared
52:49for a six-hour dance session?
52:51Oh, yeah.
52:52You know why?
52:53Because I'd literally
52:54just repeat the,
52:55I'd repeat a one-hour mix
52:57over and over again.
53:00I guess you get
53:01those mixes going
53:02and you can leave
53:03and they still got to be
53:04in the shot just.
53:05Yeah, and then
53:06anytime the camera
53:07wants to come back over to me,
53:08I'll just run behind the decks
53:09and pretend that
53:10I'm doing something.
53:11Isn't that what they say
53:12Paris Hilton does?
53:13No, she actually plays,
53:14but it's all,
53:15it's all theater of the mind.
53:18Just like radio.
53:19For Joe, I'm Jeff.
53:20Thank you so much
53:21for watching
