00:00So, Tobias, in your opinion, is America not putting enough pressure on Israel at the moment?
00:07Not at all. I mean, it's the one country that Israel does listen to and can have an influence in the Middle East.
00:15But you've seen how Trump chose not even to visit Netanyahu, chose not even to go to Israel on his Middle East tour.
00:23Indeed, his interest, perhaps, was more in signing commercial deals than looking at the geopolitical challenges that the Middle East faces.
00:33And what is happening in Gaza, you know, the world is watching on.
00:37And it is coming to the point now where the word genocide is being associated with what's happening.
00:43That's a very strong word to use in relation to Israel.
00:48And I represented a big Jewish quarter in the UK.
00:54The Jewish people here in Britain are flabbergasted to see this being done by the Israel, by the Israel politicians.
01:03It's not what I don't think Israel wants to be seen to be doing.
01:07This is very much promoted by Netanyahu himself, facing his own internal difficulties.
01:14But the idea that somehow you're going to remove two million people, you're going to take over the Gaza Strip,
01:20it was never, ever part of Israel's long-term plan.
01:24And it's moved us so far away from a two-state solution.
01:28It's not surprising that Israel is losing the support of the international community.
01:33It's not surprising that Israel is losing the support of the international community.
