00:00okay thank you everybody for being here I want to thank Senator Coons Baldwin
00:06and Warnock for joining me today so this morning President Trump came to the
00:12Capitol to push for their one big beautiful bill it's not beautiful it's
00:17ugly it's nothing short of one big grift on the American people we have some
00:25quiet please okay she's very nice I like her Trump can meet with House
00:38Republicans as many times as he likes but it doesn't change the facts this bill
00:44kills jobs explodes the deficit and overwhelmingly helps the rich their
00:50plan is simple billionaires win American families lose on jobs Trump and the
00:57Republicans want to pay for billionaire tax cuts but killing critical clean
01:02energy projects throughout the country under Trump Chinese government Chinese
01:09industry is far outpacing the United States on clean energy he's literally
01:14ceding our leadership to Chinese companies in 10 years from now because clean
01:19energy is the future it's cheaper and better it's going to hurt our country
01:24our families our children in so many ways this ideological obsession that the hard
01:31right led by the oil gas and coal industry have against clean energy is going
01:35to be very harmful it's going to be one of the worst there are many one of the
01:39worst things that this administration is doing in history will show it and then of
01:45course the tax giveaways to the budget proposal that would add 52 trillion
01:49dollars to the national debt over the next 30 years despite claiming to be the
01:55party of fiscal responsibility this administration Trump and the Republicans
02:00would add 50 trillion dollars 50 trillion dollars to the debt this plan
02:07isn't for all Americans it's not even for most Americans according to a study by
02:11Wharton under the Republicans plan the top 10 percent of Americans get 65 percent of
02:17the benefit of the tax breaks and many Americans making less than 51 thousand
02:22dollars a year would actually see their incomes go down go down and despite
02:29campaigning on it Trump just this morning completely backed down from his
02:34promises on state and local tax deduction he came to Long Island he campaigned he
02:39said he wants to help the policemen and the firemen and the teachers of small
02:44business folks by getting by making sure that that cap is raised and he just did
02:49180 degree reversal pulling the rug out from under the New York and New Jersey and
02:55California Congress members who said that Republican Congress members said they
03:00needed this let's see if they stand strong they said they're going to do
03:04everything they can to get that salt cap up let's see where they are it was
03:09incredible I don't believe let's okay we'll leave it at that it was Donald Trump
03:14who created the disaster when he put the salt caps in during his first term it's
03:20like the arsonist promising to put out the fire when he says now he wants to
03:24change it so Senate Democrats will fight all of these cuts and their utter cruelty of
03:31this legislation Senator Coons thank you
