01:05I'm sure you will all have excellent questions to ask me yourselves. So before
01:10we open it up to questions today I will give you a very short update on what the
01:14President is working on today. Earlier this morning President Trump traveled to
01:19Capitol Hill to meet with members of the House of Representatives to talk about
01:23the one big beautiful bill that we are trying to pass through Congress. The
01:29President is now back at the White House where he is taking meetings and
01:33later this afternoon he will be making an announcement from the Oval Office with
01:38our Secretary of Defense. He's in charge of our military Pete Hegseth. So I want to
01:43thank all of you for coming today. It's great to have you here at the People's House and you
01:48have some very special parents who perform a very special job. And we are here to
01:54make America great again and we live in the best country in the history of the
01:59world and we are all very blessed to be here. So with that thank you. I am happy to
02:05take some of your questions. And why don't you start us off beautiful little girl. Go ahead.
02:12She wants to know if Donald Trump likes to give hugs. Oh does he like to give hugs? You know I think he does. I have seen him give many hugs to children and his family and our beautiful first lady. So yes.
02:21I do think he likes to give hugs. You're welcome. Emily would you like to ask a question?
02:28What is the funnest part about your job and the hardest part about your job?
02:33Wow. Well that is definitely a very good question. I think the most fun part about my job is doing things like this with all of you.
02:35I think he does. I think he does. I have seen him give many hugs. I have seen him give many hugs to children and his family and our beautiful first lady. So yes. I do think he likes to give hugs.
02:41You're welcome. Emily would you like to ask a question?
02:44What is the funnest part about your job and the hardest part about your job?
02:51Well that is definitely a very good question. I think the most fun part about my job is doing things like this with all of you in the briefing room and answering so many great questions.
03:01I think the hardest part of my job is also doing things like this in the briefing room and answering all of these questions and reading the news is a big part of my job every day.
03:12I wake up and read the newspaper and watch the news and listen to all of the things that your parents are reporting on in the news and that's a big part of my job every day.
03:21Frankie, go ahead.
03:27What is President Trump's favorite food?
03:30Well, President Trump loves a lot of different foods but I think his favorite is probably steak.
03:36I've had steak with him on many occasions and he likes to eat a big beautiful steak.
03:43Do you like steak, Frankie?
03:46Yes? Okay.
03:48Jack, nice to see you.
03:50I like your hat.
03:51You're welcome. Would you like to ask a question?
03:54What's the state of the border?
03:56What's the state of the border?
03:58I can assure you the border is the most secure it has ever been in the history of our country.
04:03And I think your dad works for the Homeland Security Council so that's a very apropos question and your dad's doing a great job securing the border.
04:12Hazel Jane, what a beautiful name.
04:15Would you like to ask a question?
04:18Okay.
04:19Actually, can you come back to me?
04:21Sure.
04:22I can come back to you.
04:24I'd be happy to.
04:25Bobby Lynn?
04:26How many people has he fired?
04:36How many people has he fired?
04:40Thus far, actually, we have not had anyone fired with the exception of one individual who did leave their job.
04:49But we have a great team here so far, so good.
04:53Thank you for the question.
04:55Yes, little man?
04:57Is that your mommy?
04:59Your mommy is a great journalist.
05:02What's your question?
05:04What's Donald Trump's favorite ice cream?
05:10He wants to know.
05:11Ooh.
05:12I have seen the president eat ice cream sundaes before with chocolate sauce and some toppings,
05:21too.
05:22Raise your hand if you like ice cream sundaes.
05:24It's a very popular policy position to have.
05:27Yes, very good.
05:30Dario, would you like to go?
05:32If the president had a superpower, what would it be?
05:39Wow.
05:40If the president could have a superpower, what would it be?
05:44That is a very good question.
05:45I think if he had a superpower, it would be to just snap his fingers and solve all of our
05:51country's problems just like that, because he likes to get things done very quickly.
05:55But sometimes it takes a little bit longer.
05:57Like today, he had to go to Capitol Hill to convince people to vote for his one big beautiful
06:03bill.
06:04I bet if he had a superpower, he would snap his fingers and get it passed immediately.
06:07But life doesn't work that way, unfortunately.
06:10Go ahead, buddy.
06:12What is Donald Trump's favorite soccer player?
06:16Favorite soccer player?
06:18Hmm.
06:19You know, I don't know the answer to that.
06:21It's a very good question.
06:22I will check in with the president and get back to you.
06:25How's that sound?
06:26But I know he likes soccer and he likes all sports.
06:29Yeah.
06:30Go ahead.
06:31Does Tom leave the country like each week?
06:34Does he leave the country each week?
06:36No, he doesn't.
06:37We left the country last week and we went on a long trip to the Middle East, very far away.
06:44But we have some plans to leave the country later this year.
06:47But most weeks, he's right here at the White House working very hard.
06:51Nora, go ahead.
06:52Which is Donald Trump's favorite president besides himself?
06:57That's a good question.
07:01Because it would be probably himself.
07:04No, I think that perhaps he would say George Washington.
07:11I know he speaks very highly of George Washington, who was, of course, the first president of our great country.
07:17And he has his big, beautiful portrait hanging in the Oval Office above the fireplace.
07:22Good question.
07:23Go ahead.
07:24You look very professional and beautiful.
07:26Thank you so much.
07:27You're welcome.
07:28I have a question for you.
07:29What is it like balancing a baby and your job as the press secretary as your age?
07:38Sure.
07:39It's a very good question.
07:40And my baby is here with my mother.
07:42As you can see, he does not know what's going on.
07:45But it is a challenge every day.
07:48But it's also a blessing to have this opportunity and to be a mom.
07:52So you have to learn to prioritize your time and lean on your support system, which is my mother and my husband and my family and friends.
08:02And you can do it.
08:03You just have to work very hard.
08:05Yes.
08:06Hi.
08:07My name is Harsely Victoria.
08:08My mom is Soriana Ferris.
08:09Nice to meet you.
08:10My question is, as press secretary, as the youngest press secretary, what advice would you give to young girls like me who want to achieve their dreams?
08:22It's a great question.
08:24And you're so beautiful.
08:26My best advice would be to work as hard as you possibly can and just pursue every opportunity that opens up and is given to you.
08:34And just work, work, work as hard as you can.
08:37Thank you so much.
08:38You're welcome.
08:39Behind you.
08:40Yeah.
08:41What is Donald Trump going to do about climate change?
08:43What is Donald Trump going to do about climate change?
08:46Well, that is a very good question.
08:49The president cares very much about our environment.
08:52He says all the time he wants to have the cleanest air, the cleanest water, the cleanest environment for the world.
08:59He also cares very much about our energy independence and ensuring that we can keep the lights on in our homes at a very cheap rate.
09:06So we want to make energy here in the United States because we do it cleaner and better than everyone.
09:11So I think that's how the president would answer that question.
09:14You're welcome.
09:15Go ahead.
09:16What is your favorite country that you've been to before?
09:19What is my favorite country I've been to before?
09:22Oh, wow.
09:23That's a very good question.
09:24Well, I've been to many countries.
09:27I lived in Italy for a few months to study, but I very much enjoyed our trip last week to the Middle East where the president went to Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.
09:38And they were three beautiful countries.
09:41We'll take a couple more questions to the back of that beautiful high hand.
09:45Go ahead.
09:46What pets did Donald Trump have when he grow up and also right now?
09:52What was that, buddy?
09:53What pets did Donald Trump have when he grow up and also right now?
10:01Well, he doesn't have any pets right now.
10:03I don't know if he had any pets when he was growing up.
10:06I'll have to check with him and ask, but there's no pets at the White House right now except for our great canine secret service dog friends that are here to protect us.
10:15Hazel Jan, did you remember your question?
10:17Yeah.
10:18Okay, let's hear it.
10:19What's the president's religion?
10:20What's the president's religion?
10:22The president is a Christian and he believes in Jesus.
10:25Yes?
10:26In the back?
10:28What did the president do today?
10:33What did the president do today?
10:35The president was very busy today.
10:37He went to Capitol Hill earlier today and then he's here back at the White House and he's doing meetings.
10:44And then he's going to do a big announcement at 3 o'clock where all of your moms and dads will be able to ask him questions directly.
10:50Go ahead, buddy.
10:53How much candy does he eat today?
11:00What was that, buddy?
11:02How much candy does he eat today?
11:07How much candy does he eat today?
11:10A good amount.
11:11A good amount of candy, yes.
11:13He likes pink Starburst and Tootsie Rolls.
11:16Yes, buddy.
11:17Go ahead.
11:18We'll take two more.
11:19What's the president's favorite order at McDonald's?
11:23The president's favorite order at McDonald's.
11:26He loves McDonald's hamburgers and french fries.
11:29Who doesn't?
11:30They're good.
11:31In the back.
11:32Go ahead, bud.
11:33What's your least favorite news outlet?
11:35My least favorite what?
11:37News outlet.
11:38I can tell you're a staff kid, not a journalist kid.
11:45Did someone say ABC?
11:49Honestly, it depends on the day.
11:53Go ahead, honey.
11:55What is his favorite room in the White House?
12:01Favorite room in the White House?
12:03I think his favorite room in the White House is definitely the Oval Office.
12:07Because it's so beautiful and he has decked it out in gold.
12:10It's now MAGA gold in there.
12:14Yes, go ahead.
12:15One more.
12:16What's his favorite child?
12:21That is a very controversial question and I am not going to answer it.
12:27I know he loves all of his children very much and they're all great kids.
12:31Some of them were here yesterday.
12:33We'll do one more to the little girl in the back behind you.
12:36Yes.
12:37Who's your favorite president?
12:39Who's my favorite president?
12:41Well, that's a good question to answer.
12:43Donald Trump.
12:44Thank you guys so very much.
12:46It's good to see all of you.
12:48Thank you for coming.
12:49We'll see you later.
12:50You're welcome.
12:52Happy National...
