00:01The Press.
00:02Thank you, Caroline.
00:03Reuters was reporting that there is a letter
00:05that was meant to be sent to other countries
00:08which would give these countries a deadline of Wednesday
00:11to produce their best offer on the trade matter.
00:15Why does the administration feel the need to send this letter?
00:18And I have one more follow-up on trade.
00:20Ms. Sure.
00:21I can confirm the merits and the content of the letter.
00:23USTR sent this letter to all of our trading partners
00:26just to give them a friendly reminder
00:28that the deadline is coming up.
00:30And they are in talks, Ambassador Greer, Secretary Bessin,
00:33Secretary Lutnik are in talks with many of our key trading partners
00:36around the globe, as you know.
00:38Brian, I know the Wall Street Journal has covered this quite heavily.
00:41And they continue to be engaged in those discussions.
00:44And this letter was simply to remind these countries
00:46that the deadline is approaching and the President expects good deals.
00:49And we are on track for that, I will emphasize.
