00:00You know, I wanted to ask about your parents.
00:02Obviously, they're not in the best of health,
00:03so I just wanted to see, you know, how they're doing.
00:06I know your dad's battling Alzheimer's.
00:08Your mom's not doing too good, even though we see her on the show.
00:10So I just wanted to see how they were doing.
00:13Yeah, yeah, dad's not doing well at all,
00:16and so it's definitely progressing.
00:18And mom has shown the same type symptoms,
00:22so Alzheimer's or dementia.
00:25And so, yeah, it's kind of, it's just part of life, you know,
00:29and, you know, mom has her good days.
00:32Mom was on the show, which is great,
00:34and so I don't think at this point she's probably not going to be able
00:38to do that in the future.
00:41And so she also has more health problems as well.
00:43But we're there, you know, we spend time together,
00:47and, you know, but they lived a, you know, great journey
00:52and taught us a lot.
00:53And so I was, Corey and I are very appreciative
00:55of what we were able to do on Duck Dynasty,
00:58to be able to see that.
01:00Because, you know, I think people don't realize
01:02the show started for them and Uncle Si.
01:05They were all in their mid-60s,
01:06and so they were retired and, like, too much done.
01:09They thought they'd done everything in life.
01:11And so for them to have that last push
01:14and be on television and, you know,
01:16I'm just glad that people got to see them
01:18and enjoy that, you know, when we had that time.
01:21And so, yeah, it's just very special.
01:23We have that, those moments and those memories
01:26for our kids that are captured on television
01:28that they'll have forever.
01:30So that's really sweet.
01:31But definitely, you know, I'll say it's been sweet
01:35from my perspective to see how well Willie's
01:38taken care of his parents
01:39because it has been a hard time.
01:40This past year has been really difficult,
01:42and their health decline has just been more rapid
01:46than I think any of us would have imagined.
01:49But one of the sweet things about this moment
01:52is just seeing how well Willie has cared
01:54for his parents and all his brothers
01:56and his sister, they've just come together
01:59and just really, it's brought the family together
02:03in a way, and I know sometimes that can be something
02:05that tears families apart,
02:07but for our family, everyone's just come around
02:11and brought them together.
02:13Yesterday was Mother's Day, so it was fun.
02:15There were several of us up there.
02:16Everybody kept, yeah.
02:17Together, yeah, to be with them.
02:18We didn't plan on who was going when,
02:21and then it was just like one was there,
02:23and then we showed up,
02:23and then someone else showed up,
02:25and then someone else was coming for dinner,
02:26and it's just sweet.
02:28Yeah, it was fun for us.
02:29Yeah, definitely.
02:29See, I'm not sure I was going to take care of you
02:31when you get old now.
02:32Yeah, I know.
02:33See, now I'll be there.
02:34They say, you know, watch how a son treats his mom,
02:39and so I think I'm going to be well taken care of.
02:40Yeah.
