00:00What made you want to come back after all these years and how did it feel the same and maybe
00:04obviously feel different? After the show ended, I don't think we necessarily thought we were going
00:08to do this again. We were like, that was fun. It was amazing. It was a good run,
00:12but didn't know that we'd ever be doing this again. And then kept having people kind of knock
00:16on our door, say, Hey, do y'all want to come back? And, um, the timing just felt right this time. Our
00:21kids had all kind of like gone away to college or to chase a dream and moved back home and started
00:27having grandbabies. So we're in a very different life phase right now. And it's a lot of fun. I
00:32think people, um, you know, it's fun to bring people into the kind of this next generation,
00:36the next part of our, um, our family's life. Not literally on our doors, by the way,
00:43um, not literally, but yeah, everybody kept knocking on our doors and please do another
00:49television. I'm just saying we had been asked a couple of times. We're very young when the first
00:55show is airing, but what, what, what kind of enticed you to kind of do this again?
00:59Yeah. I was so young when we first did this, I was like between ages eight and 12 or 13. So super
01:06young, but I always had the best experience, honestly, like growing up, getting to do that
01:11with my family was just like the best memories ever. And I just always loved that time getting to
01:18be with my family every day. And so the thought of getting to do that again and just spend time with
01:23everybody was, uh, immediate. Yes. Obviously it came to some nervous things with just being public
01:31again or that public again. But honestly, it was a yes. I mean, we're so excited just to get to spend
01:38time with family and do something together. Jacob, how did you feel about kind of joining the reality
01:42TV fray? Just along for the ride. If we, we all agreed to do this as a family. So, I mean,
01:50it's a long, having a good time, just figuring it out. So that's fun. So it was literally the day
01:56after you started filming is when you found out. Oh man. How did that change the course of filming
02:02for you? How were you feeling? Were you really sick the whole time? I know that you were kind of
02:06like a little nervous to even tell your family at first too. Yes. It definitely changed some things
02:10because yeah, you know, you have this year planned out and then you're like, Oh, nevermind. I'm
02:15going to be having a baby in August. And so that's my year, which, you know, it doesn't,
02:19it didn't change anything necessarily because we had already committed to so much. We'd already
02:23started filming, but I do have pretty sick pregnancies. So I was like throwing up so much
02:28and showing up and I was just saying, okay, we're just going to have to make this a part
02:32of the show because it's, it's my life, you know? Um, but it was really sweet. I was nervous
02:37to tell the family because I found out the day after we started filming and it was just
02:41such a new season for all of us. And then on top of like everything feeling so new and
02:45crazy to be like, Hey, and by the way, I'm also having a baby. And dude, two weeks before
02:52the conference at host every year in Louisiana, 4,000 girls come all over the world. So the
02:57whole thing was just like, this is crazy, but it makes for a good TV.
03:02Well, you welcomed your third baby while filming the show too. Congratulations. Did that change
03:09things for you at all? Before you signed on, you're really like, Oh, I'm gonna have to deal
03:11with the newborn. Oh my goodness. You know, two other kids and filming a TV show.
03:15Oh my goodness. I was so nervous because literally when we've been talking about doing this show
03:20for a while. And so we, you know, a lot of pre-production stuff that was happening and
03:25I wasn't pregnant at all. I didn't know I was pregnant till like we were already signing
03:31on to do the show and we're like, Oh no, like this is not my plan, you know? And, um, but
03:37it's been so good. And surprisingly, I had a lot of reservation about just putting our
03:43kids on the show. And we're like, if they do not like it, they don't have to do it. You
03:49know, that's something that we sat on for, they didn't sign up for it, but they have been
03:54just loving it. And they just, they turns it on in front of the camera.
03:58I think maybe a lot of people are probably wondering why, when they tune in, why, why Texas,
04:02why you're there, how long you've been there. So if you want to just give us a little,
04:05a little brief debrief about why Texas.
04:08Yeah, we are in, we're in Dallas, Texas, and, uh, we were both working at a church over
04:13here in North Texas. Um, before we got married, I was recruited over here cause our, our lead
04:19pastor is very close with our family. Um, our families are really close family friends.
04:25And so it was just, uh, it was great. And I, uh, was here for a few months before we got
04:32married. And, um, whenever she moved over here with me, it's, it just all seemed in
04:37super well. And so we've been here for about two years and just love our jobs and love our
04:42community and just love the area that we're in.
04:44I love that so much. You know, a lot of people, you know, tune into the show because you all
04:48are so deep rooted in your faith. Did you ever, do you ever feel like you have to put boundaries
04:52when you talk about your faith or anything like that when it comes to the TV show? Or do you
04:56feel like the message that you spread is so positive and so, you know, family-based that,
05:01uh, you feel good about it.
05:02I feel like the Lord has given us this opportunity to share our faith. And if he's opened that
05:09door, then why not share it and why not, or why hold back in any capacity? So yeah, I don't,
05:15I don't think we're, we have any boundaries. Yeah. I really don't think we have any boundaries
05:18just to be honest and just be public about our faith just because, um, you know, we're so
05:25passionate for the Lord and we, we want to tell people that, and we want to share that
05:29with everyone. So, um, and if our lives can be an encouragement to others, then that is
05:35what we want.
