00:00The greatest upsets in sports history. On October 6th, 2007, Jim Harbaugh and the 1-3 Stanford Cardinals went down to Southern California to take on Pete Carroll and the 4-0 USC Trojans.
00:11For the past several seasons, USC had been one of the best teams in the country under Pete Carroll, and were currently sitting at No. 2 in the country.
00:18Stanford, though, was in the gutter, coming off a 1-11 season, causing them to bring in Harbaugh that offseason.
00:24This game already seemed like a blowout, but to make matters worse, in the week leading up to the game, Stanford starting quarterback T.C. Ostrander suffered a seizure while out to dinner.
00:35Ostrander would be okay, but he would miss that week's game, forcing Jim Harbaugh to start Tavita Pritchard, who had only attempted three passes in his whole collegiate career.
00:44And because of all these circumstances, Vegas had placed the betting odds at an obscene minus 41 in favor of USC.
00:51And through the first half of the game, it looked like it might be a blowout, although not as bad as Vegas thought.
00:57Pritchard struggled to pass the ball, only completing three in the entire half.
01:01But the Stanford defense was holding USC in check, keeping the score 9-0 at halftime.
01:06Then, just three minutes into the second half, Stanford safety Austin Yancey picked off John David Booty and took it back to the house, cutting the lead to just two.
01:15The Stanford defense would force turnovers on the next two USC drives, before giving up a 64-yard touchdown to Fred Davis.
01:21The Cardinals offense would respond with a touchdown of their own, but USC would get it right back with another big touchdown.
01:26A Stanford field goal to cut the Trojan lead down to six, with less than six minutes left in the game.
01:31USC would try to run out the clock, but on 3rd and 19, John David Booty would throw his third pick of the day.
01:37The game would come down to Tavita Pritchard in his first career start, pulling off a game-winning drive against the No. 2 team in the country.
01:43After getting a first down, Stanford would find themselves at 4th and 20, needing a miracle to keep the game going.
01:49Pritchard would throw a bullet over the middle to wide receiver Richard Sherman, getting just enough for the first down.
01:56After three stops by USC, Stanford would be at 4th and goal at the 10, needing one more miracle.
02:02And Pritchard would throw the fade up to Mark Bradford, who would hold on for the game-winning touchdown.
02:07John David Booty would throw his 4th interception in desperation, and the Stanford Cardinals would pull off, at the time, the largest upset in college football history.
