The iconic children's series has landed at a new streaming service after long negotiations.

00:00Can you tell me how to get to Sesame Street? After Max decided not to renew its contract with the
00:04classic children's show last year, Sesame Street, which has entertained and educated families since
00:101969, has found a new address in your Netflix queue. Now following long negotiations, Netflix
00:16will be releasing the series 56th season with fresh format changes as well as 90 hours of
00:22classic episodes as part of a new distribution deal. In a statement, Netflix called the show
00:26quote, the beloved cornerstone of children's media, enchanting young minds and nurturing a
00:31love of learning. The new season will also be available on PBS for free the same day they air
00:36for Netflix, a shift from its previous model where the episodes were released on public television
00:41months after airing on Max. This deal comes just a few weeks after President Trump signed an executive
00:46order that seeks to end federal funding for PBS and National Public Radio. That'll do it for your
