00:00What impression do you use now?
00:01Were you embarrassed?
00:02Those of Andy Harris said that you didn't adequately convince enough people to vote for the bill.
00:08The House Freedom Talk was here.
00:09You mean after this speech?
00:10After this speech.
00:10Well, what do we see at the notice?
00:13I think it was a great talk.
00:15It wasn't a speech.
00:16We talked about things.
00:17Who do you work for?
00:19Notice.
00:19Who?
00:20Notice.
00:21I don't even know what the hell that is.
00:23Get yourself a real deal.
00:26Let me tell you.
00:27Let me tell you.
00:28I think we have unbelievable unity.
00:32I think we're going to get everything we want.
00:35And I think we're going to have a great victory.
00:37And this man has done a great job.
00:39And I think this was a tremendous session.
00:41You may want to say something.
00:42Yeah, it was a great meeting.
00:44The party is unified.
00:45The House Republican Conference is excited.
00:48Multiple standing ovations.
00:49They love this president.
00:50The people back home love what he's doing.
00:51It's historic.
00:52And everybody understands the scope and the meaning of this.
00:55If we do not accomplish this mission, every one of you, all the American people, are going
00:59to have the highest tax increase that you've ever had.
01:01And among the debt ceiling cliff that's approaching and all the other problems, this is the bill
01:06to do it.
01:07I think we're going to get it done, Mr. President.
01:08The Democrats want to raise your taxes.
01:10If this doesn't work, if this doesn't get the numbers, if the Republicans want, and I think
01:15it does, I think it's all Republican votes, the Democrats are going to be raising your
01:19taxes by 68%.
01:21And they will not do the 60- we're going to have an 85% cut in drug costs.
01:2785% cut in drug costs.
01:32The Democrats, the drug prices are going to go up.
01:34I can't imagine a Democrat not voting for this.
01:38I think the Democrats, if they don't vote for it, that means they're voting for an increase
01:41in drug prices.
01:43Think of that.
01:43Versus an 80 to an 85, maybe 75, but could be an 85% cut in drug costs.
01:50Okay?
01:50Mr. President, will you need to reach out to individual members?
01:55Will you need to make a pitch to individual members?
01:57I don't think so.
01:57No, that's what I did today.
02:00That's really what we did today.
02:01I think it was a really great- that was a meeting of love.
02:04Let me tell you, that was love in that room.
02:06There was no shouting.
02:08I think it was a meeting of love.
02:10There were a couple of things that we talked about specifically where some people felt a
02:14little bit one way or the other, not a big deal.
02:16And I covered them.
02:17It wasn't so much a speech.
02:19I covered certain points.
02:21And I think there was- I'd be very surprised.
02:23You told them you were losing patients.
02:25No, I didn't tell them.
02:26Who told you I said I'm losing patients?
02:27That's what we heard inside the room.
02:28It's a lie.
02:29Wait a minute.
02:29Wait a minute.
02:30Who told you that?
02:31We heard from people inside the room.
02:33Oh, really?
02:34That's totally true.
02:35I never used the term.
02:36I didn't say losing- I didn't even talk about it.
02:38In fact, it's the opposite.
02:39I think we're going to get into that.
02:40I'm not losing patients.
02:41We're ahead of schedule.
02:43Anybody that told you that is a liar.
02:47Wait a minute.
02:48Wait a minute.
02:48Wait a minute.
02:49I never mentioned the word losing patients because I'm not losing patients.
02:52We're ahead of schedule.
02:53That's what I asked you.
02:54Why don't you go back to your source?
02:56I'm going to tell them they're liars if the source even exists.
02:58But Mr. President, thank you so much, President.
03:00Mr. President.
03:01The Pressure passes the House.
03:02The senators are already talking about making a number of changes.
03:05The President, is that okay?
03:07Yeah.
03:07Do you want them to swallow the fistfills?
03:08In some cases, they have things that I like even better.
03:11No, it always happens.
03:13There will be some changes.
03:14Mr. President.
03:15John Thune and Mike have been very closely aligned on this.
03:19They've been moving it up together.
03:20Mr. President, apparently you said don't act with Medicaid, apparently.
03:25There is some concern among some Republicans, including Senator Josh Hawley, that this could
03:32impact benefits and that it could be announced to avoid hidden tax on the working room.
03:36I didn't say it.
03:37Here's what I said.
03:38Here's what I said.
03:38Here's what I said.
03:39Here's what I said.
03:39What do you want to say?
03:40I said, waste, fraud, and abuse for Medicaid.
03:47If you find waste or fraud or abuse, we want to strengthen Medicaid.
03:52We want to strengthen Medicare.
03:54Waste, fraud, and abuse.
03:56The Democrats will let illegals be on.
03:59They'll destroy it.
04:00It will be destroyed.
04:01They want to have illegal immigrants be on.
04:04And if you do that, because it's not, it wasn't designed for that.
04:08Waste, fraud, and abuse.
04:09Can you guarantee that your voters, your supporters of the election, particularly working class voters,
04:14will not lose health insurance under this bill?
04:17Oh, they won't lose health insurance.
04:18Not only that, remember, I'm cutting drug prices by 85%.
04:23And right now, I'm saving it.
04:27I'm saving the whole thing, because I did something that nobody was willing to do.
04:31Other countries pay a tiny fraction what we do.
04:35And I instituted favored nations.
04:38We're now going to pay the lowest in the world.
04:40We're going to be the equivalent of the lowest country in the world.
04:44People go to London.
04:46They go to Canada.
04:47They go to other countries, many other countries, because they want to buy their pharmaceutical products.
04:53They're drugs at a fraction of the cost.
04:57Now, we're going to have the lowest cost anywhere in the world.
04:59And nobody else would do that but me.
05:01And that might be an election by itself.
05:04It might be election winning.
05:05Now, when you add that in, when you put that into Medicaid and Medicare,
05:10we've just strengthened Medicare and Medicaid.
05:12And the Democrats won't do that.
05:13You know why?
05:14Because they're taken care of by the drug companies.
05:17And the ones that are taken care of are hard-line.
05:19And some Republicans get money from drug companies.
05:23And that's okay, because they're okay with it.
05:26I talked about it.
05:27The drug companies take care of everybody.
05:30It's the biggest lobby, most powerful lobby in the world.
05:32There's no lobby like that.
05:34But the Republicans are okay with it.
05:36Not only okay with it, they love it.
05:38It was time.
05:39So we're going to cut drug prices by from 75 to 85.
05:44In some cases, even more than that.
05:46You know, I was telling the story that, and some of you were at that news conference.
05:50I gave a news conference where I was the first one in 18 years to cut drug costs for the year.
05:56And they were like a quarter of a point to half a point less.
05:59And I was very proud of that.
06:00Now I'm cutting them by 80, 85 percent because I stopped the scam.
06:07This was a scam between the middlemen and the drug companies.
06:11This was a giant scam.
06:13And, by the way, and other countries, because other countries fought for this.
06:17This was a giant scam, and we're not going to have it.
06:20So remember this.
06:21Go back and tell your people, if you'd like to, that the Republican Party is cutting the cost of drugs by as much as 85 percent.
06:31Not 8 percent, not 5 percent, not 1 percent.
06:3485 percent.
06:36And you're going to have the lowest drug prices anywhere in the world because I'm doing favored nations.
06:41And it's all done.
06:43I signed it.
06:44And the Democrats will unsign it.
06:46And the drug prices are going to go up.
06:48And I think on that issue alone, you can't lose an election.
06:51Mr. President, I'm going to have to wait for some reason to say that your DOJ is weaponizing with the arrest of a congresswoman, a Democratic congresswoman.
06:59Oh, give me a break.
07:00Did you see her?
07:00She was out of control.
07:02Did you address that?
07:02You know, those days are over.
07:03The days are woke.
07:04The days are woke.
07:06No, I didn't.
07:06The days of woke are over.
07:08That woman, I have no idea who she is.
07:11That woman was out of control.
07:13She was shoving federal agents.
07:15She was out of control.
07:16The days of that crap are over in this country.
07:19We're going to have law and order.
07:20Mr. President, thank you very much.
07:21You campaigned on lowering the price of groceries.
07:24How will you justify cutting food assistance in this bill?
07:28Let me just tell you, the cut is going to give everybody much more food because prices are coming way down.
07:33Groceries are down.
07:34Eggs.
07:34You told me about eggs.
07:35You asked me a question about eggs my first week.
07:37You said eggs.
07:39I said, I just got here.
07:40Tell me about eggs.
07:41And there's going through the roof.
07:42You know that eggs now are way down.
07:45Everybody's buying eggs.
07:46Groceries down.
07:47Energy is down.
07:49Gasoline is now buying.
07:51They're buying gasoline now for $1.99.
07:54What I, if you look back, you'll see $3.50, $4.
07:58This country, we're going to lose this country.
08:01Our country now is respected all over the world.
08:03All over the world we're respected.
08:05We were a laughing stock.
08:06The entire world was, we were a laughing stock.
08:09I went to the Middle East, and those rulers of those three countries are very powerful people,
08:14very big people, very rich people.
08:16They respect our country again.
08:18China was going to take them over.
08:19You know, China was going to get all of, they were going to get into the, if you look, Saudi Arabia,
08:25you take a, take a little look what was happening with Qatar, UAE.
08:31Great people, unbelievable people, unbelievable leaders, but they were abandoned by this country.
08:36And they're not going to China anymore.
08:40They love us.
08:40We love them.
08:41We're going to take care of them.
08:43And they're going to take care of us.
08:44We came back with $5.1 trillion.
08:47Trillion.
08:48Every other president would have come back having spent $5.1 trillion, as usual.
08:53And remember this, we were losing $5 billion a day under the past administration.
09:02I have to be a little careful the way I talk, because there's a lot of anger about that administration.
09:08And by the way, you ought to, the real question, who ran the auto pen?
09:12Okay?
09:12Who ran the auto pen?
09:13Because the things that were signed, were signed illegally, in my opinion.
09:19I think we've just proved that.
09:21But our country is respected again.
09:23All over the world were respected.
09:24We were laughed at seven months ago.
09:26Then you had November 5th.
09:28And our country is respected again.
09:32I'm sorry.
09:32I'm sorry.
09:33Over this bill.
10:05I can't get up there. It's all closed off.
10:35It's all closed off.
11:05It's all closed off.
11:35It's all closed off.
12:05It's all closed off.
12:35There's a lot of love in the room, and I think we're going to have a big victory.
12:38What do you have that Republicans who don't support the bill?
12:42I think anybody that didn't support it as a Republican, I would consider to be a fool.
12:49It's a great bill.
12:50It's a great bill for America, more importantly.
12:52Thank you very much.
12:53How involved are you going to be in terms of whipping up the vote?
12:58Are you going to be calling them?
12:59I think we're in good shape.
13:00I don't know.
13:01I can't tell you that.
13:02But this was a meeting of love.
13:03There's great unity in that room.
13:05And it's the biggest tax cut in American history.
13:10And if it doesn't pass, everybody is going to get a 68 percent tax increase.
13:16I don't know how you beat that.
13:18Also, one other thing.
13:19You're going to get an 85 percent reduction in drugs.
13:23Eighty-five percent reduction.
13:25Not one-quarter of a percent.
13:27Not an increase.
13:28The Democrats, you're going to pay 25 percent more for drugs.
13:32With me, because of what I've instituted in favored nations, the people of America,
13:37and it's about time, going to get an 85 percent reduction.
13:40They're going to be paying the lowest price in the world.
13:43How important is this for your agenda?
13:45You've been able to do a lot through executive action.
13:48How important is it to have this piece of legislation for your agenda and your legacy?
13:52It's very important.
13:53It's important for the country.
13:55It's not important for me.
13:56It's important for the country.
13:58This is the greatest bill that will ever — I think it's the most important bill this country just about has ever done.
14:05In terms of size and scope, that's why we call it the great, big, beautiful deal.
14:09I mean, it really is.
14:10The bill is — I think it's going to be one of the most important.
14:14It's the biggest tax reduction in history.
14:17Biggest regulation reduction in history.
14:20Incredible for Medicaid, Medicare.
14:23The only thing — we're going to leave it exactly as it was, other than for, obviously, waste fraud and abuse.
14:29We're strengthening it.
14:30We're going to make these things even stronger.
14:32The Democrats are going to destroy Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.
14:39And we're going to keep them, but even make them stronger.
14:42How are the talks — how are the talks going?
14:44Say it?
14:45Are those new sanctions on Russia like the EU is?
14:47Well, we're looking at a lot of things, but we'll see.
14:49I had a very good talk yesterday with President Putin.
14:52We'll see how that comes out.
14:53They're talking — they're talking right now.
14:55We'll see how —
14:56Are you planning to meet —
14:57Are you going to meet —
14:58Are you going to meet —
14:59Say it?
15:00What about Pope Leo?
15:01Why the Vatican served for the negotiation?
15:03Why you suggested that?
15:04No, Pope Leo suggested it.
15:06And if he'd like to have the talks at the Vatican, I can't think of a better place.
15:11I like —
15:12This is a pretty good place, too, come to think of it.
15:14Do you like these American popes?
15:15But I think — I like them, yeah.
15:16I like the pope, and I like the pope's brother.
15:18You know, the — one of the pope's brothers — actually, both of them.
15:21But one in particular is a major MAGA fan.
15:23Did you know that?
15:24He lives in Florida.
15:25He's got MAGA.
15:26He's got Trump.
15:27And I look forward to getting him to the White House.
15:29I want to shake his hand.
15:30I want to give him a big hug.
15:31Thank you very much, everybody.
15:33Thank you, Mr. President.
15:34How is Speaker Johnson doing?
