01:05:13feed it up the inside here when they
01:05:15get to turn 6, he's having a look

01:08:07he's trying to perform an endurance

01:08:13so far with 2 victories is trying to make it
01:08:15a triple treat for himself in Tasmania
01:08:17and he's come into this race
01:08:19today with the points lead in the
01:08:21championship by 13 points and he is
01:08:23in max attack mode, he's got everything going
01:08:25for him, he's got a well trimmed car
01:08:27he's got fresh tyres and he's got
01:08:299 laps up his sleeve, what he doesn't
01:08:31have at the moment is track position
01:08:33yep, so 6 seconds
01:08:379 laps remaining
01:08:39and as I said
01:08:41I love it when the teams
01:08:43do something different
01:08:45and so many of those teams grab the opportunity
01:08:47to do the early stop and basically
01:08:49turn the race around
01:08:51in strategy land
01:08:53and even if it doesn't
01:08:55pay off, it's still gonna be a massive
01:08:57yield for Matt Payne and
01:08:59Will Brown, especially for Matt Payne
01:09:015.3 seconds
01:09:03is the gap between Payne
01:09:05and Feeney and you know that Brown's not gonna
01:09:07hold up Feeney so that's not really
01:09:09gonna be a factor in this
01:09:11discussion this afternoon, 8 remaining

01:09:15what happened between David Reynolds
01:09:17and Thomas Randall up on the exit

01:19:47unreal, the battle at the end
01:19:49once I got through the hip and I knew I could cover
01:19:51him down the back here, but still he put up a good
01:19:53fight and
01:19:55it's so good
01:19:57to win here because we've struggled here so
01:19:59much and it's definitely
01:20:01the hard work's paid off, talk to us about
01:20:03the strategy play today
01:20:05we knew coming in that we were
01:20:07going to do the double stop if there was a safety
01:20:09car and as soon as there was a safety car
01:20:11I knew that would be our play
01:20:13it was interesting
01:20:15I thought there would be some others doing it
01:20:17and I knew Will
01:20:19did it behind us, but
01:20:21the car just held on to its tyres really good
01:20:23and it's
01:20:25bloody hard to hold on to
01:20:27them around here when you need to use the rear so much
01:20:29but it was
01:20:31just really focusing every lap, just trying to
01:20:33eke every single little bit out of it
01:20:35and make no mistakes
01:20:37talk to us about some of the psychology
01:20:39in those closing laps, what was coming over
01:20:41the radio, what were you saying to yourself?
01:20:43I knew I could run high
01:20:4552's all day, so
01:20:47that was my pace and I knew that
01:20:49I was going to cover off Will if I
01:20:51was running those times, so I knew we were clear
01:20:53of him, but I didn't think Brock was going to
01:20:55come that hard at the end, I couldn't really
01:20:57see him for a while and then all of a sudden he was
01:20:59within 3 seconds, so
01:21:01it was seriously close, I was just trying
01:21:03to eke out, if I had a little bit more
01:21:05on the tyre, I was trying to eke it out, but
01:21:07the last lap is everything it had
01:21:09and I don't think it's got anything
01:21:11left on it now. We've been talking
01:21:13about how great
01:21:15the championship has been this year in terms
01:21:17of the battles, where does that
01:21:19one rate? I mean you look like you're having
01:21:21so much fun out there. Oh man, that's
01:21:23definitely got to be one of the best races I've
01:21:25done, like to do I don't know
01:21:2752 laps or something around there on the same set of
01:21:29tyres or 50 laps or whatever it was, it's
01:21:31unreal and
01:21:33I want to give credit to the guys who gave me a quick
01:21:35pen drive racing Ford Mustang,
01:21:37it's been tough
01:21:39this weekend to get it in the window, but
01:21:41I think we made some gains at this race
01:21:43and it was tough starting 11th, but
01:21:45we played our cards right
01:21:47that's for sure. Well you got a trophy
01:21:49for your mum for Mother's Day, she's
01:21:51here to celebrate too,
01:21:53what a moment,
01:21:55unbelievable to have so much support.
01:21:57Yeah, it's great to have my
01:21:59parents here and my girlfriend and
01:22:01it makes it all the better when you're sort of struggling
01:22:03in the weekend, but yeah to get a win here
01:22:05and this continues our
01:22:07build for the championship.

01:23:29yeah Matty did a great job, we sort of
01:23:31came across some traffic as well, but
01:23:33look, you can't really be
01:23:35too disappointed about it,
01:23:37still great points on the board, another fastest
01:23:39lap, would have loved to get the win and the sweep
01:23:41this weekend, but yeah
01:23:43we've certainly bounced back from New Zealand.
01:23:45How does it feel to be leaving this weekend
01:23:47with a 33 point lead in the championship?
01:23:49Yeah pretty stoked, I mean
01:23:51I said coming into this weekend I want to leave
01:23:53leading it, but to have that big
01:23:55of a swing in points this weekend is awesome
01:23:57and the best thing is just how fast
01:23:59we were, and I've been able to qualify up
01:24:01the front this year, but being able to race through like
01:24:03that in that race, some
01:24:05people say I haven't been aggressive enough, I think I've shown
01:24:07that I can get through the pack and do
01:24:09the job in the race too, so now I'm
01:24:11stoked, the hard work's paying off
01:24:13obviously lots of work going in behind the
01:24:15scenes, but also it's my engineer's
01:24:17100th race today, I missed one with him at the
01:24:19start, and 100 with my crew
01:24:21so a massive congrats to Marty, he's been
01:24:23doing a fantastic job, and yeah I can't

01:24:39podium. Talk us through the start of that race
01:24:41it was pretty frantic in the opening laps
01:24:43Yeah I just got a terrible start, just
01:24:45got the jump and then just got a massive amount of wheelspin
01:24:47and yeah we got flogged off
01:24:49at the start, and then down at the
01:24:51hairpin there, Cam just sort of gave me one and it moved
01:24:53me up the road and that happens
01:24:55and then I just got put on the outside everywhere
01:24:57so you know, it happens sometimes
01:24:59you sort of get a good first
01:25:01lap and sometimes you don't, so I got moved back
01:25:03and then pitting early didn't help us
01:25:05everyone got the free sort of jump on us with the
01:25:07safety car and the full course yellow
01:25:09but we opted for the other strategy which
01:25:11ended up working out well to get a podium
01:25:13at the end of this weekend, feels good
01:25:15and congratulations to Grove Racing, they did a
01:25:17good job and Maddy did a great job to hold Brock
01:25:19off at the end. You had a front row seat to
01:25:21that battle over the line, just tell us what
01:25:23it was like from your perspective. Yeah I could just
