04:34and then try and figure out
04:35what you got
04:36because the thing will be
04:36squirming all over the road
04:38you're not 100% sure
04:39of what's beneath you
04:40with the car
04:41but you've got to press on
04:42because millimetres
04:43are going to matter
04:43with the end result
04:44and he crosses the line
04:46with a 51.69
04:47with a margin of
04:485 one hundredths
04:50of a second
04:50to Cam Waters
04:51that was a pretty nice lap
04:53there's no obvious
04:54mistakes there
04:54nice level of commitment
04:56and the little slide
04:59that he had

05:57the least amount of work
05:58they've put them
05:59all round the car
06:00so a nice start
06:01to the lap
06:02just slightly down
06:03on his team mate
06:04at the second sector
06:05but finishing this lap off
06:06all important
06:07turn six
06:08and turn seven
06:09two big
06:10fast open radius corners
06:12two of the Premier Cars
06:13into the Boost Mobile
06:14top ten shootout
06:15where does this one
06:16jump into the queue
06:17and he sits there
06:18with a 51.7

06:47a bit more pace

07:15SCT logistics entry
07:17there he is on board
07:18career best performances
07:19with the 7th and an 8th
07:20thus far this weekend
07:21and great qualifying as
07:23well
07:23his second top 10
07:24shootout
07:25is sitting in the
07:26midfield as far as
07:27the championship's
07:27concerned
07:28bit of wheel spin
07:28through turn two there
07:29and now he makes his
07:30run with a little bit
07:31of tailwind down to the
07:32hairpin
07:3328 year old Kiwi's
07:34doing a very good job
07:35this weekend
07:36he's also gone with
07:37roaded tyres now
07:38so just to minimise
07:40the mistakes
07:40is very important
07:42for this lap
07:42and the rotor tyre
07:43definitely does that
07:44nice job pulling
07:45second gear
07:45before he got to the
07:46rib limit
07:47coming out of the
07:47hairpin
07:48and also
07:48not getting all the
07:50way to the end
07:50of the torque and
07:51rev cycle there
07:52to try and manage
07:53any wheel spin
07:53because the cars
07:54will burst into
07:55wheel spin in that
07:56location
07:56turn six
07:57the lap is over
07:58and done
07:59very very quickly
08:00finding that apex
08:01when he first turns in
08:02is so critical
08:03had to wait for a
08:05moment for it to
08:06settle when he
08:06picked up the
08:07throttle
08:07his sector splits
08:08are close
08:09again he's going to
08:10be right on the
08:11money but not quite
08:12there in the end
08:13with a 51.9
08:14but a great lap
08:15nonetheless

08:16cam waters is the
08:18real beneficiary so
08:19far as the first
08:20runner remember he
08:20was 10th coming in
08:21to the boost mobile
08:22top 10 shootout
08:23and this is the
08:24look of jackson
08:25over the rise
08:26trying to get this
08:27thing stopped over
08:28the rise and then
08:28pull it up on the
08:29right hand side of
08:30the road and then
08:30turn it to the left
08:31is so difficult
08:33the read of the grip
08:34is the all important
08:35part here and he
08:37just locked the
08:38left hand front
08:38and that's why that
08:39first sector was
08:40slightly down now
08:41so he lost most of
08:43the time in that
08:44first sector
08:45good to see him
08:47finding his form
08:47with these cars
08:48though he's been
08:49battling that for
08:49the last season or
08:50so and he certainly
08:52found his groove
08:52Ryan Wood is our
08:53next runner and
08:53how cool was it to
08:54see him on the
08:55podium in New
08:55Zealand the last
08:56time out he's just
08:5721 years of age
08:59and he is a terrier
09:00pretty huge effort
09:01into his physical
09:01preparedness coming
09:02into the 25 Repco
09:03Supercars
09:04Championship he did
09:05a 50.97 so far
09:08it's been a 6th and
09:09an 11th this weekend
09:10he's sitting just
09:11outside the top 10
09:12in the championship
09:13picked the throttle up
09:14very early in the
09:16hairpin at the
09:16left hander and the
09:17aim of the game
09:18there is to try and
09:18find a way to
09:19lengthen that back
09:20straight and he's
09:21the pioneer because
09:22he's gone with four
09:23green tyres he's the
09:24first one of the lot
09:25to have done and
09:26he's got a yield so
09:27far it's a nice lap
09:28so far best numbers
09:30that we've seen in
09:31the first sector and
09:32right on par in the
09:33mid sector this is
09:34going to threaten
09:34Cam Waters he'll be
09:36right there in the
09:37mobile one truck
09:37assist entry out of
09:38the final quarter he's
09:39got a little bit of a
09:40slight go no
09:41millimetres to the
09:41right of the car
09:42Sam Wood he gets to
09:43the top on a 51.57
09:45by the tiniest of
09:47margins and it is
09:49six one hundredths of
09:50a second to Waters
09:51who as Mark pointed
09:52out has been a giant
09:54beneficiary considering
09:55that he got in here
09:56just with the 10th
09:57now that was a
09:58pressure lap from
09:59Ryan Wood he's
10:01listening and nice
10:02work mate Neil here

10:59in a little bit more
11:00conservative Cooper
11:01Murray now that first
11:03sector number is about
11:04the same as Jackson
11:07Evans a little bit of
11:08wheel spin battle to get
11:10the car off turn four
11:12there give me the next
11:13sector now little brake
11:15bias adjustment runs the
11:18inside line to shorten
11:19the track distance gets it
11:23stopped those wavy bumps
11:25down there unsettle the car
11:26on the turn in for turn six
11:27gets it to the apex nicely
11:29lights the throttle up third
11:32to fourth gear and uses
11:34all the rain he had a
11:35monstrous moment there
11:36qualifying yesterday and
11:39a 51.99 currently sixth
11:43position for Cooper Murray
11:44but good for him to be in
11:47the top 10 Neil that's a
11:48really nice job for the
11:49weekend to be in contention
11:51straight away that there no
11:53margin and that was the
11:54spot that was a scary
11:56moment yesterday when he
11:57made the wet grass out
11:58there that was as wild as it
12:00gets now watch this this is
12:01again very close to that
12:03guardrail we've seen some
12:04drivers over the course of
12:06the weekend particularly
12:07Cam Waters a couple of
12:08times Nick Perkett just
12:10bumping that guardrail on
12:11the way out of turn three
12:12I wonder how much
12:13compromise there is on
12:14that dirt that we can see
12:15on the exit of turn seven
12:16down there as well because
12:17that compromises the
12:18commencement of the lap
12:19together with the
12:20completion of the lap
12:21here's our order thus far
12:22and these are the drivers
12:25to come we've got deep
12:25Pascuali Randall Feeney and
12:27Brown and our order is
12:28Wood Waters and Golding
12:30Anthony Pascuali is the
12:31next player in the game
12:3229 years of age from
12:33Werribee in the DeWalt
12:34racing Charlie
12:36Quirkolt Camaro
12:38Team 18 the new GM
12:40homologation team big
12:41effort big investment a lot
12:43of energy going into this
12:44outfit he did a 50.9631 to
12:47be in this shootout and he
12:48will want to capitalise
12:49he was strong in
12:51qualifying in New Zealand
12:52that got away from him on
12:53the Sunday Adrian Burgess
12:55team principal down there
12:56and the squad from the
12:58technical group just
12:58watching runs a very high
13:00line oh it's sat on the
13:04second to third gear it's
13:06sat on the regular
13:06gear he's been having
13:09yeah he said a bad time
13:10for the shift cut not to
13:11work so he's been having
13:13problems with that all
13:14when he had started in
13:15practice one and you
13:16could vividly pick it up
13:17in the background when it
13:19was jammed in second gear
13:20when he was trying to
13:20flat shift through to third
13:22in the final corner for
13:23him now and we'll see
13:25what this looks like as
13:26he gets to the line
13:27we're not seeing numbers
13:32pop up here on our
13:35timing computer
13:36so I can't honestly tell
13:39you where he's dropped
13:40into proceedings unless I
13:41am missing something
13:42we're not missing
13:43something he used the
13:44rotor tyre there used a
13:46lot of that inside kerb
13:47hey Anton used a lot of
13:49that inside kerb and then
13:50had a little drama
13:51coming out of turn
13:52three it might have
13:53given the guard rider a
13:54rub

13:57that well but having
13:58some shifting dramas
13:59still stuck on the
14:00limiter out of the
14:01hairpin so yeah it was
14:03never going to be good
14:04feels too tight to have
14:05that so anyway in the
14:07tent we'll have a race

14:24well I was missing in
14:25action for a moment

14:29fans of team 18
14:31Thomas Randall
14:31has got great form at
14:33this location
14:34he's had a couple of
14:36polls including yesterday
14:37the Castrol car's been
14:38hooked up here as well in
14:39the game last year he's
14:40been well in the game
14:41this weekend as we jump
14:42on board and we're in
14:43the driver's seat down
14:44at the hairpin feeds
14:45at first gear runs it
14:47up at about the three
14:47quarter mark around the
14:48bowl there at turn four
14:50and out the other side
14:50and unlike poor old
14:52Anton that couldn't get
14:52it out of second gear
14:53down there nice clean
14:55shifts and he's
14:55watching those shift
14:56lights very carefully
14:57right at the top of the
14:58dashboard nice job
15:00through there come off
15:01the hairpin really well
15:03and he's just back
15:05need to pull it up down
15:06there cars wriggle
15:07around under brakes
15:09got to the apex
15:11nicely and then
15:12got a lot of lateral
15:13grip through this part
15:14of the racetrack and
15:15as Neil said before
15:15there's a lot of
15:16debris on the outside
15:17of the road
15:18and 51.95
15:21so that's P6
15:24so he's gone backwards
15:26and Cam Waters has
15:27come forwards
15:28that's the story for
15:29the Tickford cars
15:30lots of dirt and
15:33garbage on the outside
15:34of the road there
