Description: Vijayawada (Andhra Pradesh), May 20, 2025 (ANI): Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan took tough stand on Internal security challenges arising from illegal immigration of Rohingyas.Speaking to media, DCM Pawan Kalyan said, "...Another area of concern is the influx of Rohingyas. Between 2017 and 2018, I received several complaints, particularly from the goldsmith community, about individuals coming to Andhra Pradesh from Bengal and taking up jobs. There is a belief that many of these people are from Myanmar. The concern is not just about employment being taken away from locals, but also about national security. How are they receiving Aadhaar cards and ration cards? There must be local networks facilitating their stay. I have communicated this to the concerned authorities... Employment opportunities in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh should be prioritised for locals. I believe it is a shared concern across communities. We are already facing challenges in creating enough employment for our own people; we cannot allow illegal entrants to take those limited opportunities..."

00:00My concern regarding especially internal security when country center is
00:08waging a war with you know enforcing the borders to be safe and everything but
00:13also state should take a very active participation in being vigilant in the
00:18within the internal about internal security and my concern is always about
00:23this is Andhra Pradesh and the south is a very soft target we could previously we
00:28had seen in Coimbatu bomb blast had happened and in Gokul chart and all I'm quite
00:33concerned about it especially in Kakinada port also I have the whatever inputs I
00:40had based on that I think I have spoken especially when a particular person
00:46called me who been apprehended by joint operation by both Tilangana and AP
00:52police I think that's a issue of concern for all of us and I want to make sure
00:57that state police should be vigilant about it that is one thing and also state has
01:03a fundamental responsibility to make sure internal security is being taken care of
01:10that is a one concern I have I think that's what I had expressed and also about
01:15regarding Rohingyas the last few years I'm saying I can say from 2017 to 2018 I had
01:24been noticing and people been complaining to me when I when we are when we're in opposition 2017-2018
01:32especially in certain parts of AP a lot of people are coming from Bingo and they're taking
01:39our jobs and we are losing the our employment and this is this came from goldsmith this came
01:45from especially I heard it more from a goldsmith sector I said where these guys are coming from
01:52these guys are coming from Calcutta I said in all these decades now Calcutta been is a part of it
01:59West Bengal is a part of how come sudden influx of migration from then we understood that it is
02:04from Rohingya by people whatever Myanmar and the problem is in Telangana or Andhra Pradesh the main
02:16concern is the job should get for locals only and even the previous government also said major
02:24percentage should the job should go to only for locals I think everyone's concern is that to give
02:29and if you don't give provide a local employment that's that would be an issue even if you have if
02:33you look at Telangana statehood also it is based on one primary one of the three main objective one
02:39objective is about having employment for the local for the native group so imagine people we are struggling
02:46within the in interstate issues and on the top of it if you come migration from another country
02:51they're there they're not able to keep up their borders safe they are secure and the influx of all
02:57these Rohingyas coming here and taking the jobs and that is a matter of concern it's not just about
03:02mere employment it is also about who is getting giving them other cards who is giving them ration cards
03:08and who is behind it there must be a group of people locally should be supporting you I think
03:13that's what I conveyed to DGP to look into it I think that's one point
