Transcript
00:00Hello, I'm Sam Morton, reporter for Sussex World.
00:03I've just watched Brighton beat Liverpool 3-2 in a brilliant Premier League match.
00:07It really was entertaining stuff.
00:09A bit topsy-turvy with Liverpool taking an early lead through Harvey Elliott.
00:14Brighton responded really well.
00:16They grabbed an equaliser through Yassi Niyari after a lovely team move.
00:20But they gave the lead away in a really sloppy way,
00:23which was like somehow finding the net from a tight angle after a free kick which played short.
00:29But Barth van Bruggen didn't cover himself in glory in that moment.
00:32But you felt Brighton was still well in the chance of getting a result today.
00:36And they came out firing in the second half, dominating possession.
00:39Brian Gruder was outstanding today.
00:43Got an assist and could have had another assist when he backheeled it to Welbeck.
00:47He had a shot saved.
00:48And yeah, just an excellent performance from Gruder.
00:50And really all round the team.
00:52But it was the substitutions that really made the difference.
00:54They got those spot on with Karim Matoma coming on and scoring within four minutes.
00:59Then there was another substitute, Jack Hinchwood, coming on in the 85th minute.
01:02Scored within about 30 seconds of coming onto the pitch.
01:05It was Matt O'Reilly, another substitute that set him up.
01:08And it was a superb introduction from Hinchwood and a much deserved win for Brighton.
01:14It keeps their faint hopes of a European place alive.
01:17A little bit complicated, but for all the permutations, play ratings and match reaction,
