00:00 Hello, I'm Sam Orton, reporter for Sussex World. I've just watched Brighton lose 2-1 against Liverpool at Anfield.
00:06 It was an entertaining game.
00:08 The Liverpool dominated for large periods and could have won by more goals, but equally Brighton were a threat,
00:14 especially in the first half with Simon Odinga,
00:16 particularly lively on the counter-attack.
00:19 Brighton took an early lead, obviously, in the first half through Danny Woelbeck.
00:23 It was within two minutes and it was a sensational goal.
00:27 It was a half-volley right into the top corner, but Liverpool responded so well and went 2-1 up.
00:32 Obviously, the second goal was after the break.
00:35 They could have scored more goals, but on another day Brighton could have nicked it.
00:38 The longer the game remained 2-1, Brighton were confident they could have got that goal towards the end.
00:43 But it unfortunately wasn't to be and it was a 2-1 defeat
00:46 that moves Liverpool back to the top of the Premier League.
00:49 Brighton are still within touching distance of the Europa League places,
00:53 but it's going to get tougher as the season gets on.
00:57 Really tough games for Brighton to deal with this season, with lots of injuries.
01:01 Jal Pedro, unfortunately, wasn't ready for today.
01:06 Hopefully, he'll be back soon.
01:07 Billy Gilmore, as well, was out today.
01:09 Key players missing.
01:10 Obviously, we know that Karim Atoma, Soddy March and Jack Hinchin will not return this season.
01:15 So, lots of problems injury-wise for Brighton, as they've had all season.
01:18 Hopefully, they can end the season on a high, despite that.
