00:00After almost 7 years off, a major cycling event is set to return this coming August

00:05with the bigger, more challenging and exciting version of Larga, Pilipinas.

00:10Jamaica Bayaka has the details.

00:14We're just doing this all for the love of cycling.

00:17Kasi kung hindi ko namin gagawin ito,

00:19kung hindi ko namin ito i-encourage yung mas maraming mong taong sumuporta,

00:25hindi ko natin maipakitita yung puwensiho talaga ng cycling.

00:28So, kung may mga mapasok po mga sponsors, all the more na mas maganda po for us.

00:32Sana po ang headline yun yung huwag sa mga media man,

00:35Larga, Pilipinas, tuloy na! Sponsor, pasok na!

00:38Thousands of cyclists will gather again in the country

00:41for the return of the one of the most anticipated cycling events of the year,

00:45the 2025 Larga, Pilipinas, scheduled to start in Caminatuan City on August 2

00:50and will end in Baguio City on August 7.

00:53They aim to continue the good momentum

00:55recorded in the last edition of the Larga, Pilipinas

00:58and hope to exceed the 10,000 Filipino cyclists who participated in 2018.

01:03An approximately 10 professional cycling groups are expected

01:07to participate in the 809-kilometer cycling race

01:10including Go4Gold Standard Insurance,

01:14Excellent Moodles,

01:15the Arena Orion Summit,

01:16and Tuna Flow Zone Champion, MPT Drive Hub.

01:19At a press conference and official launch of the said tournament

01:22held in collaboration with Phil Cycling.

01:25The cycling groups were unveiled where 4 of the 6 stages

01:28will serve as the challenges due to the weather condition of the area.

01:32Nakakatuwa kong isipin na na mga kaibigan na

01:35from being an underweighted sport,

01:38cycling is now back to where it should be.
