18:07an autoimmune disease without an autoimmune disease.
18:10But recently I've been working on finding my voice
18:12and learning how to express my feelings.
18:14And now my skin's been doing a lot better.
18:18It's hard because when my face is good,
18:19my body's bad and then it'll swap
18:22where my face is horrible and my body's great.
18:24So I just need to get my whole body in tune with each other.
18:28But Jace always knows too,
18:30like I can't really express my emotions
18:32unless it's like anger.
18:34Because I don't know how to validate people's feelings
18:35because we didn't get that growing up.
18:37And so when people are trying to validate their feelings,
18:39I'm just like in attack mode.
18:41And I feel like it's just from not expressing my emotions
18:44for however many years, 24 years.
18:47Especially you, like especially you.
18:51I feel like a lot of it is super related to like trauma
18:55and things that happen and just all of that.

19:08I was sexually abused for about like four or five years.

19:21So Halloween of 2015, I ended up going to my mom
19:26and I felt like she didn't believe me.
19:32I feel like that's when I stopped telling people.
19:41After that point, it was like,
19:43I was hesitant to say anything to anybody
19:46because I was like, well, no one's going to believe me.
19:49I think it just silenced me in a way.
19:53I think that was like the turning point
19:56where my body shifted and was like,
19:58every time I'm feeling something
19:59or feeling like anything hard, I can't even now.
20:04It's like, I can't express it.
20:07It's a tricky situation to navigate
20:09because it's like, I don't know where to go from here.
20:11But I think the most important thing is finding the people
20:14that you can trust and the people
20:15that you feel comfortable around.
20:17I just feel like on Halloween,
20:19that was like the last time that I was open about it.

20:37that I have a lot of fear of having to relive it
20:40and feel that all again.
