JP runs through the second half of the Commanders schedule, coming to the conclusion Washington will need to be playing its best football at the most important time of the season.

00:31I mean, that's the bright, bright lights right there.

00:34Denver's a playoff team last year.

00:36For all the talk of Jaden's possible regression,

00:40I would cast an eye towards the mountains, towards the Rockies,

00:44and wonder what Bo Nix is going to do.

00:47Although Nix was impressive down the stretch for Denver,

00:50and he's got good wheels.

00:52I'm not anti-Bo Nix.

00:53I just think Sean Payton really schemed a lot of stuff for him,

00:57and I'm curious if that will continue or if he gets asked to do more.

01:03Whereas we saw Jaden's progression last year, like in very real time.

01:11Denver's tough.

01:12Then you're going on the road to Minnesota.

01:13And I think it'd be easy to say, man, I just don't know.

01:18They're starting a rookie quarterback.

01:20I guess he's not a rookie.

01:21A second-year quarterback in J.J. McCarthy.

01:24I just don't know what Minnesota's going to have.

01:26Here's what I can tell you last year.

01:29Minnesota had Sam Darnall, who had stunk everywhere, forever,

01:33and he balled out.

01:34I believe in Kevin O'Connell.

01:38I believe in what the Vikings have put together.

01:41And if you go back in time, J.J. McCarthy was probably third on my quarterback depth chart.

01:50I really liked McCarthy.

01:52I thought it wouldn't have been nuts if he went three over Drake May.

01:59I like Penix, too, but I think McCarthy's going to be really good.

02:04And if Sam Darnall was really good, I don't think the Vikings are going to fall apart

02:08with McCarthy at the helm.

02:10So you've got back-to-back roadies here.

02:12Denver Sunday night at Minnesota, at New York.

02:41I mean, the amount of quarterback turnover in the NFL,

02:43regardless of the chaotic situation the Giants have.

02:48So coming out of the bye, you've got Denver at Minnesota,

02:52at the Meadowlands, Philly at home on a Saturday,

02:56Dallas at home on Christmas Day, which apparently is controversial for some,

03:02and then they finish at Philly.

03:04Two of your last three games against the defending Super Bowl champions.

03:08Your last four games are all division round games.

03:11You've got a short week thrown in there for bad measure.

03:14Now, for the short week crowd, two things.

03:17Last year, the Christmas games were Saturday to Wednesday.

03:21This year, Washington gets Saturday to Thursday.

03:23That is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday.

03:26That's not an abnormal turnaround.

03:28In fact, in week one, going into week two,

03:32when they play on Thursday, they have less rest.
