00:01Thank you, Madam Deputy Speaker.

00:03Peterborough is a generous and a warm place,

00:06and our city and public services have been made richer

00:09because of the peoples who have come and made their home and communities

00:12alongside myself and others.

00:15But for too many people, too many working-class families,

00:19they often feel the system is rigged against them

00:22when it comes to skills and wages.

00:25So can I ask my right honourable friend

00:27to tell us a bit more about the work that the White Paper will do

00:30with Skills England, the Department for Education and others,

00:33to ensure we boost apprenticeships?

00:35And can I just ask her if she will keep high on her mind

00:38and reiterate to this House the desire to tackle illegal immigration as well

00:42and to ensure that hotels like the Dragonfly and my hotel

00:45are stood down as soon as possible?

00:48We do need to increase apprenticeships and training.

00:51That's why we're supporting 60,000 more construction workers

00:57to be able to go through training to be able to support our economy

01:00alongside, as he rightly says, plans to make sure

01:04that we can end asylum hotels.
