Series 6, Week 3, Day 1

Every day this week, celebrity contestants Charlie Baker, Val McDermid, Martin Offiah and Rebecca Lucy Taylor take on a series of quiz rounds selected by the host, quiz legend Richard Osman.

A daily winner is declared following a quickfire round at the end of each show, and the scores are tallied across the week, resulting in an overall champion being crowned on Friday.

Will the winning stars opt for the much-coveted House of Games decanter, or will they be tempted with the House of Games fondue set?

00:00Hello, everybody. Welcome to a brand new week on House of Games. Four famous faces battled it out for one appalling trophy.
00:17Listen, I'm not saying it's textbook House of Games this week, but we have a rugby player, a pop star, a crime writer and a stand-up comedian.
00:24I mean, sounds about right, doesn't it? Shall we meet them? They are Martin Afaya.
00:30Rebecca Lucy-Taylor, Val McDermott and Charlie Baker.
00:36Hi, everyone.
00:37This is like a good line-up, Martin. I think you picked a bad week.
00:40Look, looks like some good quizzers there, doesn't it?
00:42I'm thinking that I wished I watched more movies and read more books. It was too late.
00:46Are you a good quizzer? You're competitive, of course.
00:48I'm competitive at things I think I can win at.
00:51Uh-oh.
00:53But you're the only person here with a statue, I think.
00:55Yes.
00:56So, come on. Rebecca, you'll have a statue one day, I'm sure.
00:59You used to say to me, when will I be famous enough to be on House of Games?
01:02I said, when you got nominated for a Brit.
01:04Yeah.
01:04And now you are. Self-esteem we know you better as.
01:07Are you happy that you've now been nominated for a Brit and are on House of Games?
01:10Yeah, it's more about this. It's more about getting on.
01:13Well, that's the point, isn't it, of winning awards, is it means you can get on House of Games.
01:17Exactly.
01:17That's the only reason to be famous. Are you a good quizzer, Rebecca?
01:21No.
01:21Yes.
01:22Perfect. That's good news, Martin, isn't it?
01:24That's one down.
01:26Talking of good quizzes.
01:29Oh, no.
01:3017 million books worldwide, Val McDermott.
01:33Last time we were in a quiz situation, you were asking the questions at the Harrogate Crime Festival.
01:37How do you like it this way around?
01:39I liked it better when I knew the answers.
01:40Yeah, it's more fun, isn't it?
01:42Are you confident?
01:43I wouldn't say confident, no.
01:45That means yes.
01:47What?
01:47That means yes, doesn't it?
01:48No, it doesn't.
01:49Oh, she's good, Val.
01:50I'm deeply into it, eh?
01:51Yeah, yeah.
01:52That's right.
01:52Get them all set to going up on me already.
01:55Charlie.
01:56Hello.
01:56Welcome, welcome.
01:57How lovely to have you here.
01:59Listen, we know that stand-ups always win this show.
02:01Always, always, always.
02:03We might as well just stop it now.
02:05You're a good quizzer, Charlie.
02:07I like a quiz.
02:08Yeah.
02:08I'm not necessarily a good quizzer, but I'm enthusiastic.
02:11Oh, an enthusiastic quizzer.
02:13I feel like everyone's going to be enthusiastic this week.
02:16Someone's winning the trophy at the end of the week, but there are daily prizes as well.
02:19Shall we take a look at today's prizes?
02:21Whoever wins on Monday's House of Games gets to take one of these home.
02:24Wow.
02:24There is the driving gloves, pet food bowls, the toolkit, the dubious alcohol, and the fondue set.
02:32What do you think you'd like to take back with you?
02:34I'm going to say the toolbox.
02:35Val, what would you go for?
02:36Well, I think I'd probably have to go for the fondue set because I have an unfortunate affliction
02:41that I can make any amount of cheese disappear.
02:44Oh, lovely.
02:45Perfect.
02:46Cheese and chocolate.
02:47Fondue set for Val.
02:48Now, Rebecca.
02:48It's going to be the wine, isn't it?
02:50Well, yes, I think so.
02:51I mean, it's not strictly speaking.
02:53Legally, we can't call it wine.
02:54Oh, sorry.
02:55But it's certainly got alcohol content in it somewhere.
02:57But it's made in Tajikistan.
03:00It's terrific, I hear.
03:01Martin?
03:02I think I'll go for the pet food bowls.
03:04Pet food bowls.
03:05Do you have pets?
03:06A cat, yeah.
03:07Okay, there's a few.
03:09Imagine if he said no.
03:10Shall we get on and play a series of rounds until we give away a trophy to Val?
03:16No, that's it.
03:17I'm joking.
03:18I'm joking.
03:19This is a shame.
03:20I'm joking.
03:20Who knows?
03:21I've underestimated.
03:21Many a true word is said in jest.
03:23Yeah.
03:23Shall we get on?
03:24Every time I press this buzzer, a new round comes up.
03:25I never know what it's going to be.
03:27You never know what it's going to be.
03:28Let's find out our first one.
03:29It is...
03:30Rhyme time.
03:33Our traditional palate cleanser.
03:35Fingers on buzzers, please, everyone.
03:36I'm going to ask you two questions at a time.
03:38The answers rhyme with each other.
03:40Rebecca, you look so nervous.
03:41I'm not nervous.
03:42I'm just laughing at how bad I'm going to be.
03:44Okay, good.
03:44That's perfect.
03:45That, I don't mind.
03:46Nerves, less so, but that's absolutely fine.
03:48I know, very chill.
03:48Here are your first two.
03:52Son of Marge and Homer Simpson.
03:54And organ that the Tin Man asks for in The Wizard of Oz.
04:02Val.
04:02Bart and Hart.
04:04Bart and Hart.
04:05Well played, Val.
04:06Absolutely right.
04:07Bart and Hart.
04:09Next two.
04:11Distance that Usain Bolt ran in a record 19.19 seconds.
04:16And who is this?
04:20Yes, Rebecca.
04:21100 metres Andy Peters.
04:22It's not Rebecca.
04:23I'm so sorry.
04:25Charlie.
04:26200 metres Andy Peters.
04:28200 metres Andy Peters.
04:28Look at me celebrating.
04:30I'm going to style it out.
04:33There we go.
04:33200 metres Andy Peters.
04:35200 metres.
04:36Sorry, Rebecca.
04:37Andy Peters.
04:38Next two.
04:41Football club that appointed Stephen Gerrard as manager in 2021.
04:46Picture book by Eric Carle about a ravenous insect larva.
04:52Martin.
04:53Villa.
04:54Villa.
04:55I think we've got a buzzer race on our hands if you don't get the second bit.
04:58Villa.
05:00Gorilla.
05:01No.
05:02Sorry, Martin.
05:03Buzzer race.
05:04Charlie.
05:05Aston Villa, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
05:08Aston Villa, The Very Hungry Caterpillar.
05:10Well done.
05:11Well done.
05:12Next two questions.
05:15What is this?
05:17And what is the title of this song?
05:19I could be brown, I could be blue, I could be violet sky.
05:23Charlie.
05:24Mint Jelly, Grace Kelly.
05:27Mint Jelly, Grace Kelly.
05:29Absolutely right, Charlie.
05:31Well done.
05:33Fingers on buzzers.
05:34Here's your next one.
05:341903 award won by Marie Curie, named after the inventor of dynamite.
05:41And 1990s ITV talent show with singers impersonating celebrities.
05:45Yes, Val.
05:49Nobel Prize stars in their eyes.
05:51Yeah, there's an equivalence there, isn't there?
05:53Absolutely.
05:54Nobel Prize stars in their eyes.
05:55Well played, Val.
05:56Next two.
05:59BBC programme following people who buy property at auction.
06:02And who is this?
06:07Yes, Charlie.
06:08Homes under the hammer, Maya Jammer.
06:10Homes under the hammer, Maya Jammer.
06:12Absolutely right.
06:13Well done.
06:15Final question in this round.
06:181984 police comedy starring Eddie Murphy.
06:22A 1970s children's show where toys and other items were exchanged.
06:29Yes, Charlie.
06:31Beverly Hills Cop Swap Shop.
06:33Beverly Hills Cop Swap Shop.
06:34Well played, Charlie.
06:37Off to an absolute flyer, Charlie Baker.
06:40That's the end of that round.
06:40Let's take a look at our leaderboard for the first time.
06:43We'll take a look at our avatars as well.
06:45Martin and Rebecca very much keeping themselves to themselves for now.
06:49Martin, I love your avatar.
06:52Thank God you wear glasses.
06:56Val, you have two points.
06:57Charlie Baker, our leader with five points.
06:59Well played, Charlie.
07:01Lovely start for you.
07:03Can we catch him?
07:04Shall we play our first pairs game of the week?
07:06It is going to be...
07:09Distinctly average.
07:12Now, Martin and Rebecca, you're tied for third.
07:13So, Martin, why don't you choose your partner for this round?
07:16Who would you like to play with?
07:17Charlie.
07:18Charlie, the guy in the lead?
07:19Yeah.
07:19That's a professional sports person speaking.
07:22Excellent.
07:23So, if Rebecca and Charlie, you can swap places, please.
07:27You just looked at me then like I shouldn't stand on.
07:29No, no, no.
07:29Charlie and Martin are a team.
07:32Val and Rebecca are a team.
07:33These are two good teams, I think.
07:36If you take your tablets out, please,
07:37I'm going to ask you a series of questions.
07:39You're going to write down an answer.
07:40There'll be a number,
07:41and I'll take the average of each pair as their answer, OK?
07:44And whoever's closest wins a point.
07:46Have a little go at home on this one as well.
07:48Your first question is this.
07:52What is the population of Truro, Cornwall's only city?
07:56Wow.
07:56That's your neck of the woods, isn't it?
08:00I'm from Devon, Richard, so that's actually quite offensive.
08:03Do you live near Truro?
08:04Mmm, I live probably 100 miles from Truro.
08:08You're told what I said wasn't offensive.
08:09That is, apparently, 112 miles.
08:12There we are. It was a good guess, wasn't it?
08:13It is neck of the woods.
08:14Yeah, fine.
08:20What do you think at home on this one?
08:22What's the population of Truro?
08:24Martin, what are you thinking?
08:25I changed my views
08:27because at first I didn't read the whole question.
08:29Oh, yes.
08:30It's silly, because it said city,
08:31and I thought, oh, God, so...
08:32For some reason, I was thinking Truro wasn't out to say city,
08:35so I put 1.5 million.
08:371.5 million?
08:381.5 million feels quite punchy.
08:40I think that would make it Britain's second biggest city.
08:43I think it would.
08:44Charlie, are you somewhere in that ballpark?
08:46I am in that ballpark.
08:47I've gone for a million, which feels a bit stupid now.
08:51So 1.25 million people in Truro,
08:54you're saying, what a metropolis Truro is.
08:57Val, are you in the millions here?
08:59No.
09:00I started my journalistic career a million years ago
09:03when we still used chisels and stone working in the south-west,
09:06and I remember Truro being surprisingly small,
09:10so I've gone with 8,500.
09:12We have a real difference of opinion here, don't we?
09:16Rebecca, are you happy with Val's answer?
09:17Yes, I'm cheered by it somewhat,
09:19because I said 23,000.
09:2323,000.
09:24So, yeah, thinking very similarly down there.
09:27Well, listen, at least both teams are in sync with each other,
09:29if not with the other team.
09:31So your average is 15,750.
09:36What do you think at home on this one?
09:37How many people live in Truro?
09:39Is it in the millions, or is it somewhere nearer 15,000?
09:42Let's find out, shall we,
09:43and find out if we're about to give Rebecca and Val a point.
09:47It is...
09:4822,000.
09:51What did you write?
09:52You were so close.
09:5222,000.
09:53Oh, my God.
09:54I found my niche, finally.
09:55Well, listen, you both get a point.
09:56Rebecca, I'm going to give you two points.
09:58Hey!
09:58You went to just 1.4 million hours.
10:04It's a very small city.
10:05It's a small, yeah, it's a small city.
10:06A small but perfectly formed city.
10:08Truro, well done if you're from Truro.
10:10It'd be very hard to do better than Rebecca on that,
10:12but very, very well done if you did.
10:14Next question.
10:16How many hours per year does the average UK adult watch TV,
10:19including on live, catch-up, and streaming services?
10:24Hmm.
10:25Don't put 1.5 million.
10:27Oh.
10:28So it's just whatever you might watch,
10:33and are you above average, below average?
10:36Distinctly average?
10:37Everyone is in.
10:38What do you think?
10:39How much TV do you...
10:40This is where we discover we watch a lot more
10:42or a lot less than other people.
10:43Val, what was your thinking here?
10:45Well, I was thinking that a lot of people watch a lot of telly,
10:48but also a lot of people don't watch a huge amount of telly.
10:52So I thought thinking roughly around about the three hours a day.
10:55Yeah.
10:55Which, and I thought, well, roughly, my sums are not that good.
10:59I came up with 950.
11:02950, yeah, so three hours a day, like, 21 hours a week.
11:06Yeah, that sounds roughly right.
11:09950 says Val.
11:10Rebecca, up or down from that?
11:12365 days a year, yeah?
11:15Yeah.
11:15Yes.
11:16You are not getting another extra point.
11:18I did start there, so then I thought three times three.
11:23Yeah.
11:24But this might not be that.
11:25OK, brilliant, I look forward to this.
11:26But I've said 1,095.
11:28Yeah, almost exactly, yeah.
11:29Can we get clearance on if I've done the right sums there?
11:32It's exactly right, yeah, 365 times three.
11:34That being GCSE maths.
11:36And again, very, very close.
11:37So your average is 1,022 and a half.
11:43Martin, what were you thinking here?
11:44Do you watch a lot of telly?
11:45Yeah, I do watch a lot of telly.
11:47Probably too much telly.
11:48But I'm trying to cut down.
11:50No.
11:51But when it's a catch-up in streaming services,
11:53that's why I thought maybe it's a bit more than that.
11:56OK, so you've gone for...
11:57Sort of slightly double.
12:002,600, you're saying?
12:02Yeah.
12:02So roughly six and a half hours a day we're all watching.
12:04That's a lot of telly.
12:06But listen, I probably do.
12:08Charlie, up or down from 2,600?
12:09Only mildly up, slightly up 2,800.
12:122,800.
12:14So you're going nearly seven hours a day.
12:16So your average is...
12:182,700.
12:20Yeah.
12:20So we're sort of three hours a day, six and a bit hours a day.
12:23What do you think at home on this one?
12:24What have you gone with?
12:25Let's find out, shall we,
12:27how many hours does the average UK adult watch TV in a year?
12:30And who scored the point?
12:321,409.
12:35Well played, Val and Rebecca.
12:36Done, Val and Rebecca.
12:37Nicely done.
12:38Another point to you.
12:39Final question in this round.
12:41Can you make it a clean sweep of distinctly average?
12:44In dollars, how much did the James Bond film No Time To Die
12:48gross at the box office worldwide in 2021?
12:54Did anyone watch No Time To Die?
12:56No.
12:57Really?
12:58No time.
12:58Did you watch No Time To Die?
12:59Got no.
12:59No one here?
13:00Val, did you watch it?
13:01No.
13:01I liked it.
13:03I really liked it.
13:10Everyone in?
13:12Charlie, what are you thinking on this one?
13:14I've gone for $56 million.
13:16$56 million.
13:18I said that like a Bond villain.
13:20$56.
13:21Martin, up or down from that?
13:23I've gone for $70 million.
13:26$70 million, says Martin.
13:28OK.
13:29So your average is?
13:32$63 million, you think it made.
13:34Val, do you think it made $63 million?
13:36Do you think it made more than that?
13:37So I went with, because it's the last two numbers in 2021, I went with $21 million.
13:41$21 million, says Val.
13:43Now, Rebecca, up or down from that?
13:45I have gone $34 million.
13:48$34 million.
13:50Can I just say, I think all of these answers are insanely low.
13:54Really?
13:54I think it made like half a billion or something.
13:56I have no concept of what, I don't think it made.
14:00I hope so.
14:01I could, yeah, you're laughing if it did.
14:03You're laughing if it did.
14:05So your average is $27 million.
14:09We've got $63 million, we've got $27 million.
14:11What do you think at home on this one?
14:12Let's find out how much did No Time to Die gross, and who scored the point?
14:20$774 million is what it made.
14:25Really underestimate.
14:26Wow.
14:27Look at what it ends in.
14:28Double it, that's fake.
14:29Oh, that's 007.
14:30They faked that, surely.
14:31How about, that's amazing.
14:33Gents, you were just over $700 million out, but you get a point.
14:37Fantastic.
14:38That's pretty nice, isn't it?
14:39Very well done.
14:40I get two points.
14:41No.
14:41Do you know what?
14:42You're so close, Charlie.
14:45Tablets away, please, everybody.
14:47That's the end of that round.
14:49So, Rebecca and Charlie, if you'll swap back, please.
14:53And let's take a look at what that has done to our leaderboard, shall we?
14:56Martin, you have one point.
15:00Rebecca, three.
15:02Val, four.
15:03And we keep going up the line.
15:04To Charlie Baker with six points.
15:06Well played, Charlie.
15:07Three rounds to go.
15:08Who's going to be our first champion on this week's House of Games?
15:11Let's play our next round, shall we?
15:12It is...
15:16Tom, Vic and Abbey.
15:18Fingers on buzzers, please.
15:19Tom, Vic and Abbey genuinely are three of our question writers.
15:22We gave them each the same word and told them to write a question with that word as the answer.
15:27You'll see they're three different questions.
15:29Buzz in when you think you know the word we are looking for.
15:32Here's your first one.
15:33UK top 40 single for Block Party in 2008.
15:41Chemical element with the symbol HG.
15:47Val.
15:48Mercury.
15:49Is it Mercury?
15:50Let's take a look at the last question.
15:51Closest planet to the sun.
15:54Mercury is the answer, Val.
15:56It's the answer to all three of those questions.
15:58Well done.
15:59Next one.
16:01Horse that won the 1848 Grand National.
16:04Anyone?
16:06Traditional term for a person who makes candles.
16:10First name of the character who marries Monica in Friends.
16:16Yes, Rebecca.
16:18Chandler.
16:19Chandler.
16:20Absolutely.
16:21You're right.
16:21Well done.
16:23To Rebecca.
16:24Next three questions.
16:28UK top 10 singles for Madonna, Shaggy and Simply Red.
16:33US Supernatural spin-off series first broadcast in 1999.
16:39Divine Creature on the Sistine Chapel ceiling.
16:46Val.
16:47Angel.
16:47Angel.
16:49Oh, well played, Val.
16:50It's Angel.
16:50Nicely done.
16:51That answers all three of those questions.
16:54What have Tom, Vic and Abby got for us next?
16:58Another name for the Cape Riesling grape.
17:02Bodice that reaches the hips.
17:07Language and region of northern Spain.
17:10Vowel.
17:10Yikes.
17:11Vowel.
17:14Vowel.
17:15Vowel.
17:16Vowel.
17:17Vowel.
17:18Vowel.
17:19Vowel.
17:20That's the right answer, Vowel.
17:21Well done.
17:22It's my knowledge of corsetry coming to the fore.
17:23Corsetry than geography, that one.
17:24That's more corsetry than geography, that one.
17:25Tom, Vic and Abby.
17:26What next?
17:281988 REM album.
17:32Political party, which gained its first MP in 2010.
17:37Middle colour in a rainbow.
17:41Yes, Val.
17:42Green.
17:43Green is the answer.
17:44Green the album, green the political party, green the colour.
17:48That's a great album.
17:49Final question in this round.
17:51First name of Kim Kardashian's third child.
17:56Most popular city in Illinois.
17:58Yes, Rebecca.
18:02Chicago.
18:03Chicago.
18:03Let's take a look at the last one.
18:062002 film musical that starred Catherine Zeta-Jones and Renny Zellweger.
18:09Chicago.
18:09Well played.
18:10It was the city that did it.
18:13I definitely don't know about Kardashians, though, right?
18:15Sure.
18:15Sure, sure, sure.
18:16That's the end of that round.
18:18Let's take a look at what it's done to our scoreboards.
18:21Two rounds to go before we find Monday's champion.
18:24Martin has won.
18:25Rebecca, you've got five.
18:27Charlie with six.
18:28We have a new leader, Val McDermott.
18:29Eight points.
18:30Well played, Val.
18:31Nice done.
18:33Two rounds to go.
18:34Round four today is...
18:38Put your finger on it, if you'll take your tablets out again, please.
18:42I'm going to show you some pictures.
18:44I'm going to ask you to identify something.
18:46Here's your first picture.
18:50OK, and I want you to put your finger on Luke, please.
18:55What do you think at home on this one?
18:57Have a little point at the screen.
18:59We all know who they are, right?
19:02Do we all know who they are?
19:02Luke and Matt Goss?
19:03Yeah, we can speak out loud.
19:04It's Bross.
19:05Bross.
19:05Bross.
19:06Yeah, Matt and Luke Goss, but which one is Luke?
19:09It's really hard, this.
19:10Well, is it?
19:12I mean, it's 50-50, Rebecca.
19:15And if you lock in when you're happy with your answer?
19:19Everyone's in.
19:19What do you think at home?
19:20Which one's Matt, which one's Luke?
19:22Martin, what's your thinking here?
19:24Do you know the answer?
19:25No.
19:26No.
19:26I just went Matt and Luke.
19:29Matt's on the right, and then Luke's on.
19:30Oh, clever.
19:31Like Antidek, right?
19:32Yeah, yeah.
19:33So you've gone the hatted gentleman.
19:36Yes.
19:36Rebecca, what were you thinking?
19:38Well, I went with the hatted gentleman,
19:40and then I changed my mind to the leather-jacketed gentleman.
19:43The non-hatted gentleman.
19:45So you've gone with the non-hatted gentleman.
19:47We have one for the hatted gentleman,
19:48one for the non-hatted gentleman.
19:50Val, you've gone hatted or non-hatted?
19:52I went alphabetical, so Luke and Matt.
19:54So I went for the one on the left.
19:57Everyone's got a system.
19:59Charlie, hatted, non-hatted?
20:00Hatted gentleman, Richard.
20:02Hatted gentleman.
20:03Just made it interesting.
20:04We are non-hatted versus hatted.
20:07We are 50-50.
20:08What are you at home?
20:09Gone with a hat or without the hat?
20:10Let's find out, shall we?
20:11One's Matt Goss, one's Luke Goss.
20:13Which one is Luke?
20:13Who scored the points?
20:16The un-hatted gentleman.
20:18Val and Rebecca get the points.
20:20Very well done.
20:21That is Luke Goss.
20:22The other one is Matt.
20:24Here's your next picture.
20:26Oh, no.
20:27Could you point to Luke Goss, please?
20:30No, could you point to the caudal fin?
20:36The caudal fin.
20:37Oh, good. Good, good.
20:39How's your fish biology, Martin?
20:43Martin, is it as good as mine?
20:46Probably not.
20:47Yeah.
20:48What do you think at home on this one?
20:49Where are you pointing to on the screen?
20:50Where's that caudal fin?
20:52Rebecca, any clue here or are we guessing?
20:55We're guessing.
20:56We're guessing.
20:57What are we guessing?
20:58Second to last.
21:00A penultimate fin.
21:01It's a fin, isn't it?
21:02For sure.
21:03Feels like that would have a special name.
21:05It's doing half the job, isn't it?
21:06Definitely a fin.
21:07Yes.
21:07Val, do you know your fins?
21:09I seem to remember that in Latin, cauda has to do with the bottomy parts.
21:13Oh.
21:15That's just not fair.
21:17I've gone with the same as Rebecca because we are in tune anyway.
21:20Interesting.
21:21So they've both gone for the same one.
21:22She's good.
21:23She's not only good, she's a brilliant author.
21:24I mean, it's annoying, isn't it?
21:25Yeah.
21:26Yeah?
21:26Is there nothing she can't do?
21:28Charlie, what's the caudal fin?
21:30Fins ain't what they used to be.
21:31I've gone for the same one.
21:33You've gone for the same one?
21:34Bum fin.
21:34Can I say that?
21:35Bum fin.
21:35Bottom fin.
21:36Yeah, bum fin.
21:37Have we got four bum fins?
21:39We have got four bum fins.
21:40I just went for the powers of deduction.
21:42Yes.
21:43It's not going to be the top one or the normal fin because that would just be too obvious.
21:48It can't be the tails.
21:49I thought it's going to be one of the two at the bottom.
21:51I initially went for the one which is not near the bum.
21:54And I thought, oh, that's a strange fin.
21:56I wonder what the name of that would be.
21:58So I thought, oh, that's got to be it.
21:59We're all on the bum fin.
22:01All on the bum fin.
22:02We're all on the bum fin.
22:02This is exciting.
22:04Is the caudal fin the bum fin?
22:06It is not.
22:07Oh, man.
22:08Oh, God.
22:10Absolute joke.
22:10But yeah, that's the caudal fin.
22:12There you go.
22:12At the back there.
22:13Well done if you got that at home because we all got it wrong here.
22:16Here's your final picture in the round.
22:20Okay.
22:21If only we had a professional musician amongst us.
22:24Could you put your finger on, please?
22:27The nut.
22:28Oh, my goodness.
22:31What a round we're having.
22:33What do you reckon at home on this?
22:34Any guitarists out there who know where the nut is?
22:38Everyone in?
22:41Okay.
22:42Everyone's in.
22:42What do you think at home on this one?
22:44Val, you're in a band of crime writers, aren't you?
22:47The fun-loving crime writers.
22:48Yes.
22:49Do you play guitar?
22:49I used to play guitar in my youth, and so I went through the bits that I definitely know
22:54the name of.
22:55Yes.
22:56And that left me with the bit up at the top where the tuning key things are.
23:02Okay.
23:03Which are kind of nuts because you turn them.
23:05So that's where Val has gone.
23:06Charlie.
23:07I've gone for the same place.
23:09Same place as Charlie.
23:10Same place.
23:10Are we really going to do this again?
23:11The tuning nut.
23:13Does that count as the same place?
23:15Oh, so you've gone with the actual twiddly bits.
23:17Maybe that's wrong.
23:17So Val, you've gone with the main body of that.
23:20Charlie, you've gone with the little twiddly bit on the side.
23:22And I'm regretting bringing that up now.
23:23Sorry, I didn't know if you knew that I was a professor of guitars.
23:27Martin, what are you thinking?
23:28Well, I too did play the guitar briefly back in the 90s.
23:31Everyone plays the guitar.
23:32So I went the same area.
23:34The nut.
23:35So you're both on the little twiddly bit.
23:38Val is on the other bits.
23:40The whole bit was a little bit.
23:40Rebecca, professional guitarist, essentially.
23:44Where is the nut?
23:45I've gone for the bottom bit.
23:46The bottom bit.
23:48The bum of the guitar.
23:49Oh, the guitar bum.
23:51Are we giving away some points here?
23:55Oh.
23:56No one is right.
23:57It's the little white strip between...
24:00You know, it holds the strings together.
24:01Yeah, but you wouldn't think that would be called the nut.
24:03That's the nut.
24:04You've got the headstock value you're on,
24:05and there's tuning pegs there.
24:07And, Rebecca, you're on the guitar bum.
24:09Yeah, as usual.
24:11That is the end of that round.
24:13Did that go well, that round?
24:14No, it was bad.
24:15Tablets away, please.
24:16Let's take a look at our leaderboard
24:17before we go into Answer Smash for the first time this week.
24:21Martin still with one.
24:23Rebecca and Charlie, you are tied second with six points.

24:28Well played, Val.
