Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), May 14, 2025(ANI): Following Turkey's support for Pakistan in its recent attack on India, protests against Ankara have intensified across the country. The public has begun boycotting Turkish products, especially fruits, which form a significant part of India’s imports from Turkey.Fruit vendors have taken a firm stand, declaring they will not sell produce from any country that backs Pakistan. Turkey had reportedly supplied drones to Pakistan, which were then used in the attack against India. In response, vendors have resolved to stop selling Turkish apples and other fruits, stating, "We will not sell anything from a country that supports terrorism."Traders acknowledged that some Turkish consignments already en route will be accepted due to prior commitments, but no new orders will be placed going forward. They criticized Turkey for profiting from Indian markets while allegedly supporting aggression against the country.India imports Turkish goods worth over ₹1,200 crores, with Turkish fruits having high demand in Indian markets. However, amid growing anger, this trade relationship now faces significant disruption.
