NU keeps 5-peat bid alive in UAAP men's volleyball
Displaying the heart of a champion, five-peat seeking National University (NU) turns back Far Eastern University (FEU) in Game Two of the UAAP Season 87 men's volleyball Finals, 25-20, 22-25, 25-15, 18-25, 15-11, at the Mall of Asia Arena on May 14, 2025 to send the series to a deciding Game Three. After getting hammered in the fourth frame, the Bulldogs nosedived in the fifth and trailed by three, 5-8, but went on to finish the Tamaraws with a 10-3 run. Jade Disquitado denied Dryx Saavedra's attack to total two points only but his timely defensive stop clinched the match for NU, which banked on Buds Buddin's all-game brilliance of 20 points and 11 excellent receptions. Obed Mukaba also came through with 20 markers, including six blocks for the Bulldogs who take on the Tamaraws in Game Three on May 17 at the same Pasay venue. Saavedra pumped 24 points and six digs for FEU.
