Buzzy Bee started back in 2019 and, under the guidance of two sisters from Wilmslow, the business has gone from strength to strength. It has some of the nicest cookies, brookies and brownies that you can imagine.

00:00Hello and welcome to Manchester World. My name is Theo Houston Betts and today I'm out in Manchester
00:03as another part of our trying to find the best coffee in Manchester series.
00:07Trying to big up some of the best independent cafes that we have in the city.
00:11And today we're going to Bozzy B. Now we've been fortunate enough during this series to already
00:15go to a bunch of brilliant independently owned businesses including places like Nibbles and
00:19Factory Coffee but this is one of the most impressive stories that you will find in
00:23Manchester because Bozzy B was set up back in 2019 and is run by a pair of sisters out of
00:29Wilmslow. This is their second store across Greater Manchester and it has been a massive success.
00:35The quality of the baked goods are startling and the staff are brilliantly friendly. Here's what
00:39you need to know. So here we are inside Bozzy B. Now and for those not familiar with the story it
00:45started off back in 2019 with a love of baking from one of the owners Millie who due to her love of
00:51baking started throwing together brilliant cookies and brownies and selling them at local artisan
00:55markets. And then during COVID online orders exploded. Her sister Lydia joined the team
01:00and now they have two stores. One here in the centre of Manchester and one over in Wilmslow.
01:04So it really is a homegrown independent business from right here in Manchester and they do these
01:09most amazing brookies, cookies, brownies and great coffee too. So I have Kinder Brookie in front of me
01:17which looks ridiculous as well as a Fomfetti ice cream and the typical flat white as well.
01:22So we'll give all this a try and let you know what we think. So there you are. That's what it looks
01:27like there. They do microwave the cakes as well before you get given them so it's perfectly warm
01:33with the ice cream. It's just ridiculous.
01:40The idea of a brookie was actually pretty unfamiliar to me before the coronavirus pandemic and so it does
01:45feel as though Millie and Lydia have got on at exactly the right time but of all the ones I've
01:49tried this is one of the best. It's this amazing ball of just sweetness and brilliance and who doesn't
01:55love Kinder Bueno as well. Frankly it's pretty amazing to me that it's taken millions of years of
02:00evolution to get to this point and I'm absolutely convinced that all that evolution was purely to
02:05put these two things on a plate together. Now obviously this is a series about coffee so I've
02:10got to say that the flat white here is pretty bang on too. It's a thoroughly enjoyable cup and while
02:16it's a little bit hot for hot coffee today we couldn't break the street. So the coffee is astounding,
02:21very very good quality. A lot of times with bakery places the coffee can be a bit of an afterthought
02:25really and that absolutely is not the case here. The menu is fairly affordable certainly for the
02:30center of Manchester and with the quality of cakes that you're getting it's absolutely worth coming
02:35along and giving it a try particularly to support an independent business. But hey don't just take it
02:40from me one of the customers had something to say. Tell them. Guys the best cookies in my life to be honest
02:46with you. Yeah sorted. So I don't want to ruin this by letting it get too cold although to be honest it
02:50feels pretty impossible to ruin it. So that's gonna be it from me. Thank you very much for watching
02:55and follow Manchester Worlds for more. We'll see you again soon.
