00:18originate? The meme is based on a video posted on April 28, 2025, by TikToker Amina3,

00:24who happens to have an eyebrow slit. In the video, she says,

00:27Who said girls with an eyebrow slit can't have an ube cupcake from Buttercup Bakeshop?

00:31And then takes a bite out of her ube cupcake from Buttercup Bakeshop.

00:35Okay.

00:36Obviously, the answer is no one. No one said that. But the specificity of Amina3's

00:40rebellion garnered her video upwards of 8 million views in under two weeks,

00:44and inspired memes from other TikTokers, with many posting videos acting as though

00:48they were the people she was referring to in her video.

00:51This is just your daily reminder that if you're a girl with an eyebrow slit,

00:54you cannot have an ube cupcake from Buttercup Bakeshop.

00:58Other TikTokers rocking eyebrow slits were also quick to join in on the trend,

01:01either lamenting what they supposedly couldn't have, or grabbing themselves an ube cupcake and

01:06sticking it to the haters. But Amina3 was obviously joking, and it wasn't her first go

01:10at this type of joke. She posted a similar video in February, defying another oddly specific rule

01:15she made up.

01:20This joke is far from new. People have been creating and breaking highly specific nonsense

01:24rules since at least 2016, when Twitter user ChampagneAri tweeted,

01:28and they say girls with brown hair can't wear jeans, alongside pictures of her brunette self in jeans.

01:33But Amina's ube cupcake seems to have inspired a new wave of these,

01:36as other TikTokers are now parodying her video with new specific rules of their own.
