A London mum says bus drivers refuse to lower ramps for her disabled son Charles—up to 12 times a week.

The two-year-old, who uses a specialist chair due to chronic lung disease, was twice denied access to the 197 bus in Croydon on 7 May.

Footage shows one driver refusing to lower the ramp, while another only helped after a supervisor intervened.

Charles, born severely premature, relies on life-saving equipment. His mum called the treatment “humiliating” and discriminatory.

TfL apologised, calling such refusals “unacceptable” and confirmed it is investigating. Her TikTok videos have received over 500,000 views.
