00:13career dealing with a shoulder injury to his throwing shoulder that is too much to overcome

00:47i believe so there was some interesting reporting that it will save the saints some money based on

00:52the 20 million dollars of a cap hit that derrick carr has this offseason but he is still going to

00:59be owed money for 2025 and beyond he is under contract through 2027 with new orleans but following

01:07next season at the end of 2026 at least based on the way the deal is structured prior to the retirement

01:13he is no longer on the books at the end of next year should help them financially what exactly the

01:20financial ramifications are for a saints team that desperately needs some better cash flow and

01:26financial flexibility still kind of a head scratcher at this moment yeah it is and also we don't know

01:50fame like eli manning well eli manning does have a couple rings at that point but always wanted to

01:54take a shot at manning who should not actually be in the hall of fame shouldn't be questioned

02:29got a lot of mileage out of it you see that 41 000 total passing yards in his career prematurely

02:34ends his career but had a solid career but those expectations to be the guy to lead a team and take

02:39them over the top he just wasn't able to do that
