00:00Hit Liverpool-based crime drama, This City is Ours will return to our screens for a second
00:05series. The eight-part fair series which launched in March has been praised by both critics and
00:10viewers alike. I think it's been a brilliant series and I think that's why we've heard that
00:16they're having a second series of it. Speaking about the drama's success, Stephen Bouchard,
00:20This City is Ours creator, lead writer and executive producer, said we have all been blown
00:26away by the incredibly positive response to This City is Ours. I can't thank the audience enough
00:31for their time and emotional investment. The series spent 17 weeks filming at locations across
00:39the Liverpool city region with many recognisable spots featuring including the city centre, the
00:44Georgian Quarter, Edge Lane, the Wirral and Law. I think it's the variety in architecture, we've got
00:50a lot of, we've got the modern quarters, you've got the older buildings. Well we've got all like the
00:55old buildings still and all the cobbles and everything's still here, do you know, and then
01:01you've got like the houses have all been done nice and everything else. It reflects well on us that
01:07they've chosen here because of the buildings and the backdrops and the sets like so many films. Culture,
01:13it's the only thing I can say is Culture. It's a beautiful place, beautiful to see, I love it.
01:20A potential release date has not yet been revealed for season two but the broadcaster
01:25says more information will be released in due course. I know a few people have thought,
01:29does it portray Liverpool in a good light? I think it's anyway, I think by fifth, sixth, seventh,
01:35eighth episode, people just seeing, you know, a very gritty drama about that subject matter and
01:43they see through the accents. I think it's actually good. But there's that much going on isn't it
01:47nowadays in every city? With crying, so you know, it's like, it's gonna make. I think there is a certain
01:57stereotype that the production people will adhere to or like casting and all that and of course there's
02:04a few bad apples that get a bad rep like but that's everywhere. It features a whole host of
02:09fantastic scout actors including James Nelson Joyce, Jack McMullen, Mike Noble, Kevin Harvey,
02:14Bobby Schofield, Darcy Shaw and Stephen Walters. I think the whole crew were great and everyone
02:21probably focusing in, well with Sean Bean of course, people focusing in on him. People that try to do the
02:27Scouse accent, please stop. If you can't do it, you can't do it. Season one explored Ronnie played by
02:36Sean Bean and Michael Cavanaugh's crime trades and what happened when Ronnie's son Jamie decided he
02:42wanted to inherit their kingdom. Episode one of the series has already been watched by over 6.6 million
02:50people. The series has become the BBC's most watched new drama launch of the year so far with almost
02:56three million people streaming the series finale.
