00:00that she'd been in pain for a couple of days.
00:02Yeah, she would.
00:03And it's very individual appendicitis.
00:05Sometimes it can be silent, almost painless,
00:07but other times it can be excruciating.
00:09So it usually starts with generalised abdominal pain,
00:12which then localises down to the right iliac fossa,
00:14which is down here on the right-hand side,
00:16low down in the abdomen.
00:18But...
00:18And it comes on quite quickly.
00:20She did this show on Wednesday.
00:22Yeah.
00:22And then Thursday, boom, gone into the school.
00:24Thursday night, boom, yeah, absolutely.
00:25So if the appendix ruptures,
00:28clearly that's a major emergency.
00:32So it's unusual.
00:34I mean, it used to be very common.
00:35One in six people used to get appendicitis in their lifetimes.
00:38Now it's much less common,
00:39the reason we don't fully understand.
00:41But, yeah, we usually see it in children, not adults.
00:45Will she make a full recovery?
00:46She'll make a full recovery.
00:47She'll be back here, back where you are, very shortly.
00:50OK, well, good luck, Rambe.
00:51Get well soon.
