00:03Banning the Ukrainian flag from being flown at Derbyshire County Council headquarters

00:07will be among the very first priorities of the new reform leadership, it has been confirmed.

00:12This follows a directive from Zia Yusuf, Reform UK's National Party Chairman,

00:17saying that reform-controlled English councils, including Derbyshire,

00:21will only fly either the Union or St George's flag.

00:24This includes flags on flagpoles, balconies, reception desks or council chamber walls.

00:28A reform representative has confirmed that this directive has been passed to the Derbyshire Reform Group,

00:34which now controls the council, with 42 councillors.

00:38They confirm the flag changes will be among the very first things carried out by the group

00:42following the first council meeting on Wednesday, May 21st.

00:46The representative clarified that the Derbyshire flag can still be flown,

00:50along with other common-sense exceptions for royal visits or armed force events, but no others.

00:54Derbyshire firefighters have now left the scene of the Moorland Fire near Irwood Reservoir and the Goit Valley

01:02after a week of tough firefighting.

01:05Fire crews have handed over to the landowners, United Utilities, who are managing a few remaining hotspots.

01:11Firefighters were initially mobilised to the incident following a 999 call on Wednesday, April 30th.

01:16Over 100 personnel, including firefighters and partner agencies, responded with 10 fire engines

01:23and numerous specialist vehicles to bring the fire under control.

01:27Additional firefighting resources were supplied by members of the Fire Operations Group,

01:32including a specialist water-carrying helicopter courtesy of the United States,

01:35which was used to dampen down smouldering areas of Moorland.

01:39This is the 15th wildfire that Derbyshire firefighters have attended this year.

01:42Members of the public have been urged to help prevent them by not throwing cigarette butts from car windows,

01:48taking home all rubbish, especially glass bottles which can magnify the sun's rays,

01:53and not taking portable barbecues or gas scoves into the countryside.
