00:00James, let's chat about the far right. We've spoken about it before. The AFD party who did perform well in the elections, but are not part of this ruling coalition. Have we had any reaction at all from the leader of the AFD?
00:17Of course. So Alice Weidel, co-leader of the AFD, said that this was a sign that, you know, Friedrich Merz should start again and hold new elections because, you know, an hour or so ago, it wasn't actually clear if Merz would become chancellor. So shocking was this development.
00:36So the AFD are number one in the polls and they think they would do much better if another election was held. But of course, maybe this intervention from Alice Weidel didn't actually help our party because that's quite possibly what got the wavering members of the new government coalition to vote for Merz, hold their nose and keep the AFD away from power.
