Houston, TX — A family gathering turned deadly early Saturday morning when shooting erupted at a residence near Cherryhill Drive, close to South Loop and Mykawa Road, leaving 14 people shot, including one confirmed fatality, and several others critically wounded.
At approximately 12:50 AM this morning, Southeast Patrol Officers responded to reports of a mass shooting in the 6000 block of Cherryhill. According to HPD Assistant Chief Patricia Cantu, the incident began at a party when an uninvited guest was asked to leave. As he exited, he began shooting. Gunfire was returned.
