Leaders visit multiple states on final day of election campaign

Anthony Albanese and Peter Dutton have spent the last day of the election campaign travelling to multiple states in a final push to try and win over voters.

00:54Quite frankly, I enjoy it. I like election campaigns. I've given it my all, as my team

00:59has as well. I'm incredibly proud. As the leaders brandish press conference

01:03props for their final pitches to voters. I want to make sure that we can win the election

01:08and that we can get our country back on track, that we can help those families live again.

01:12I mean, these people are just not ready. They are just not ready for government. Australia

01:18deserves better and I'll give them better. By this time tomorrow, the final verdict of voters

01:23will be getting clearer. Inside Labor, confidence is growing that a return to majority government

01:29is within reach. While coalition figures are privately conceding, an election win is looking

01:36unlikely. But any talk of replacing the leader if they lose is being dismissed for now.

01:42It's way too early to have those conversations. You do not gut the chicken or read the intros

01:47until you've gutted the chicken. There's no doubt in my mind that we can be successful

01:51at the election. I'm working my guts out to ensure there's a majority government tomorrow.
