00:00what exactly are we doing or you doing today yeah 50 mile challenge to complete 50 miles

00:12running after electric track in 12 hours or less 50 miles so why are you were why are you doing

00:17this today my son goes to hell wake school and he's raising some extra funds for some

00:26sensory equipment that they need so the kids can regulate themselves and make their life at school

00:34a little bit easier i mean 50 miles is you did something similar last year is that right i've

00:40done 30 miles last year yes so this year had to be a little bit bigger and what's the uh the

00:46temperature been like today the hottest day of the year year so far obviously not planning for this

00:51i suspect when you started no no no it's been horrendous it's been it's been hard been hard

00:56um hell ever in a day or two after today and uh i couldn't get back to normal the children that

01:05hell wait never will be able to so you've had a few of the children coming coming out to see you today

01:11yes yes has that support been been important for you absolutely absolutely just reminds reminds you

01:17how lucky you are it reminds you that the heat and the 50 miles is nothing to what these children

01:26endure in their lives every day so yeah it's been been magical it's brilliant to see

01:31hello i'm alison ashworth i'm the head teacher from helpweight school in pedsborough

01:36and um how grateful are you about what uh jason is doing today oh absolutely a hundred and fifty

01:42percent grateful um for what jason is doing for helpweight school um i was approached by jason and

01:49lisa who are the parents of a child that attend helpweight school and they wanted to do some

01:54fundraising to support the school in a project that we had and we had we were looking to fundraise

02:00um some money to develop our sensory room and update our sensory room to modern day technology

02:06um and as a result um he suggested that he wanted to run here at the athletic track 50 miles round on

02:13on this particular day um and here we are stood in the boiling hot heat on one of the hottest days

02:19and the commitment from jason is absolutely outstanding i know we've had a few of the children

02:25down as well i mean it must be great for them to see something like this and someone making a

02:28real difference to to so many people's lives absolutely yeah it's not only the children but it's

02:33also the staff as well there's been a number of staff down here as well today um and i know that

02:38some staff are on about coming down after work as well and doing a few few laps with him as well
