00:00It is exactly 80 years since Adolf Hitler turned his gun on himself and brought to an end one of the darkest chapters in history.

00:08But all this time later, there are still some questioning whether the Fuhrer really died on that day,

00:14whether in fact he didn't manage to slip out of Germany for a new life in South America.

00:19However, for decades, conclusive proof dispelling that conspiracy theory has lain untouched inside a Moscow vault.

00:27That is, until now. RT's Roman Kostrov has the full story.

00:32A popular conspiracy theory suggests that Adolf Hitler somehow managed to escape Berlin during the final days of Nazi Germany

00:41and fled to Latin America, where he died from old age.

00:45While that's purely a theory, Russia's FSB has undeniable proof that Hitler's life ended along with his heinous Third Reich.

00:54The burnt bodies of Adolf Hitler, his wife, Josef Goebbels, and some other family members and top Nazi leaders

01:02were discovered on May the 5th, 1945, by the Soviet Red Army in Berlin.

01:08And to this date, these teeth that belong to Adolf Hitler remain the only documented evidence

01:16of the fact that this monster is actually dead.

01:20According to investigators, Hitler and his wife committed suicide by taking cyanide on the 30th of April, 1945,

01:29when the Red Army unit stormed the government quarters and the Imperial Chancellery,

01:35where the Fuhrer and his entourage were hiding in a bunker.

01:38On May 8th, 1945, a specially created commission consisting of pathologists and forensic experts

01:46from the First Belarusian Front performed an autopsy and examined the remains of Hitler and Ava Brown,

01:54as well as the rest of those corpses that ended up in our hands.

01:58The fire had damaged Hitler's corpse very badly, meaning there was no skin left and practically no muscles.

02:05They were all charred. Therefore, the commission stated that the main anatomical find for them

02:11were fragments of jaws with dentures unique to this person.

02:15They can be used to identify the person, knowing the medical history and the history of making dentures.

02:21Since DNA analysis as such was not available at that time, as it had not yet been discovered,

02:28dental identification was one of the most effective ways.

02:31Further proof that the remains were indeed Hitler's came after interrogations of a dental assistant,

02:38Kete Goederman, and Fritz Echtmann, a dental technician, who made false teeth for the Fuhrer.

02:44Both witnesses admitted that the jaws belonged to Adolf Hitler.

02:49That fact was confirmed in 2017 by a famous French anthropologist, Philippe Charlier.

02:56He compared the fragments of Hitler's jaw with X-rays of his skull held by the United States

03:02and determined their 100% match.

03:05That, however, is not the only proof that Hitler had never made it out of Berlin alive.

03:11Soviet intelligence detained several people from his inner circle,

03:15including top military and security commanders,

03:18as well as his senior valet, Heinz Linge, and personal assistant Otto Gunsch,

03:23whose testimonies were recently declassified by Russia.

03:27At the inquest, the head of Hitler's personal guard, Hans Rattenhuber, told the truest story possible.

03:36He said that his birthday was on the 30th, and they were celebrating accordingly.

03:41And when Hitler shot himself, he was bypassing the posts at that time

03:45and came a little later to the Fuhrer's bunker.

03:47And he asked Heinz Linge, Hitler's valet, how it was.

03:52And in response, he heard that Hitler had shot himself.

03:55He carried out his most terrible order.

03:58And Rattenhuber says,

03:59I realized that the most terrible order for Linge was to shoot at Hitler's corpse after he took poison.

04:05It turns out that Hitler did not want to appear that he committed suicide.

04:10According to Russian historians, the dictator wanted to remain in history as a fighter.

04:16The multitude of theories suggesting that in May of 1945,

04:19Adolf Hitler had somehow made it out of Berlin alive and ended his days peacefully in Latin America,

04:26have turned out futile.

04:28The physical evidence held by Russia proved to be crucial in establishing the historical truth.
