00:00Hey everybody, it's Andy. We are now a hundred days into the second Trump presidency. There are
00:06some things that we should be grateful for. In Kentucky, the president has approved help for
00:12families after two natural disasters and for that we're grateful. But this presidency's trade and
00:19tariff policies are increasing costs on families that are already struggling. They're making
00:25businesses pause or scale back investments and small businesses are even starting to lay off
00:31hardworking Americans. It is entirely avoidable and it's hurting us so many across our country.
00:40Then there's the threatened Medicaid cuts, which would decimate rural health care, make it so hard
00:46to see a doctor and eliminate hundreds of thousands of jobs. My hope is at this 100 day moment,
00:55the administration will pause and take a breath and recognize that leadership isn't meanness or
01:00cruelty. It's not going after your enemies. It's about lifting people up. It's about remembering
01:06that most things that people care about aren't partisan at all. It's living out our faith and
01:12our values that say we love our neighbor as ourself and remembering the parable of the Good Samaritan
01:17says everyone is our neighbor. Leadership brings people together. Leadership can heal this country.
01:23I'll keep doing what I can. Y'all keep speaking out. Talk to you soon.
